- The skin on the hands can easily get dry and irritated due to hand washing, hand sanitizers, climate changes, surgical or latex gloves, solar radiation, and external irritants. Continuous exposure to irritants or hand washing can also lead to contact dermatitis and exacerbate skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. While certain habits and environmental conditions may not change, steps can be taken to help shield the hands, reducing dryness and limiting penetration of irritants in the skin.
Our Prequel Hand Wrap Shielding Lotion creates a flexible film on the skin to help reduce water loss even after hand washing. It features a water-resistant film former, lipids, phytosterols, and lipid layer enhancers to prevent dryness while improving healthy skin barrier function. It creates a breathable shield on the skin to prevent external irritants from aggravating the skin but will not impact normal sweat production. Lipid layer enhancers, sometimes referred to as refatting agents, provide replenishing lipids in the skin lost through washing. A blend of glycolipids, sodium hyaluronate, soybean sterols, and phytosterols mimic the lipid layer to support the skin barrier.
The Hand Wrap Shielding Lotion absorbs quickly and is third party clinically tested for 24 hours of wear helping to prevent moisture loss even after hand washing. If you are washing your hands repeatedly we suggest reapplying every 4 hours to better protect the skin. as a nurse, I am SO excited about this! I struggled with eczema on my hands before working in healthcare, especially in the winter, but now it is even worse. I would love to see this in a travel size that I could also stick in my jacket pocket at work!

Would you create a hand lotion with SPF in the future? To help protect from sun spots or other sun damage on the very thin back-of-hand skin? It’s VERY HARD to find good ones 😢!

ordered two tubes of this as soon as I saw this video released and they arrived today - such fast shipping! and I'm blown away by the product it's incredible! Didn't know if it would be thick or thin but it's goldilocks right in the middle and not sticky AT ALL! absorbs so fast and you can move on with your day - that is the biggest struggle with hand creams for me. love EVERYTHING I've tried from this brand so far! amazing!!!

Tip for applying hand cream, put 2 dots on the back of each hand and use the edges of your little finger to rub in cream, that way you don’t have greasy palms and fingers

Yay! I just ran out of the hand lotion I’d been using and need a better one. I like adding the skin ointment on top at night. It has a gorgeous texture for an ointment. So I know this new lotion will be fantastic.

Why not just use the barrier cream and the urea lotion? Isn’t it all the same.

Just bought two of the hand wrap and one of the foot ointment. Can you put "lip balm" on your to-do list? My lips are always flakey and I can't stop messing with them, then they're flakier and I mess with them, it's a vicious cycle.

The utility ointment is amazing for lips. Just need it packaged as a Lip ointment to easily throw in a purse or pocket

Maybe stop exfoliating until your skin recovers and use a fragrance free moisturizer with ceramides to restore your skin.
