Painting the power hammer..... When you paint a hammer how do you prepare the bare metal? Do you sand or degrease? Use primer or just the paint? What type of paint, enamel, epoxy, oil base? Do you use spray cans, power sprayer, brush? Do you paint before any major attachments like the motor and tire are installed? If I had a completed hammer (new) with bare metal how would you recommend I paint it? Thanks for any info you might pass along.

Cool idea for die changes , you know for a good ole' boy from Bama you do good looking work.
I use a 1750 pound rated spindle and hub for a trailer. It has new bearings that are greased well.
The dies will make contact it a medium to full speed. But this can be adjusted to the Blacksmiths needs.
What kind of bearing are you using in the yolk bro? That’s a smooth hammer there!
