Aight so this was surprisingly fun to work on???? I'm so used to joining MAPs that have a very specific art direction that when I joined this I was a little lost on what to do lol. I didn't wanna make a super detailed and complex animation becuz, y'know, I didn't wanna DIE, but I also didn't wanna make it super simple, so I think the watercolor/paper brushes worked really well! :'D
(Also if your wondering why the char anim in the last shot seems kinda... stiff... but then immediately jumps back to being smooth, that's my bad. I made all the animations separately from each other w/o using music to time the beats, so when I strung 'em all together they were REALLY out of sync and the only way I could fix it was by spacing out the frames, so now it's kinda stiff :'D)

Oh MAN I loved working on this sm. I ended up going for ANOTHER sketchy/watercolor style, mostly because of #1: The character is kinda meant to exist in sketchy watercolor lol and #2: This anim is 10 FPS, which is kinda high for me, and I wanted to focus on the movement more than the lineart or cleanup!
Oh uh- yeah the character??? Uhhhh-
I'll be honest I designed them back in summer of 2021 and I adored her and loved them and I uhh- never came up with a name or a backstory or personality aside from "Childlike with a hint of anxiety :D"
So... feel free to suggest some names for her! I've just been calling them "Pastel" bc they're the only OC I think I've ever made with a pastel palette and it's rlly generic so plz suggest away!

edit: oh btw I loved that you used side characters as well. I love it when people give them more personality, since the erins were so focused on the main plot. But hey I'm not exactly complaining cause it leaves the fandom with endless headcanons to create for the side characters hehe

It’s really fun to make up personalities for characters that were never written to have one. I know Rainwhisker is only really memorable because he got killed by a tree between books, and that’s when I started looking more into his character and making headcannons lol
