Haha I actually have most of the stuff I need for an offset at my dad's already!! Gonna start on that next time. Not as big as I want to go but it's a start! Thanks for watching!
It's fitting to call your weld a gorilla weld! 🤣 If you don't know what a gorilla weld is, ask your dad. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Just messin with ya. You did a great job. Great idea. 👍
That is so cool that your dad was able to help teach you about welding to restore this piece of history. I wouldn't mind learning to weld like that one of these days. I loved watching this!
Great job on the discado. I've always wanted to make one of these, just haven't gotten around to it. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what you do with it.👍👍
He has everything you could need! That jeep has been his project for the past year, and what was not shown is his wood working shop where we built the cutting board I'm giving away.
When making my first one I was struggling with my weld cracking so I did what any smart man will do, I called my Dad and he said to heat everything up real good before and after welding, Dads are awesome. Although we live far away from each other, he’s always there for me no matter how old I get.
That's awesome! Yeah I feel pretty lucky to have this huge wealth of knowledge a phone call away! Now I need to find the pieces to build an offset smoker with him next!
Man, I made one and my welds cracked and I was using a stick welder . Not all of them cracked tho . I wasn’t running as long of beads, basically tacking till it was solid .
This video filled my heart with happiness. A good relationship between father and son is so beautiful! I started out just looking for a cowboy wok build…
As someone who is originally from a very large farm, I had no idea back then that something used for harrowing, could be turned into a cooking implement. That's pretty awesome. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
He's a pretty knowledgeable man! I am glad I can learn so much from him. This past weekend we built a new cooker to hold this Wok on, that video will be coming soon!
@@GorillaJoesBBQ I like the rocket stoves with the front damper ,door on the wood shoot and the rear built in ashtray, most people build the generic simple versions of the stoves.
@@eastside0434 I'll write those down, we will definitely not just go the simplest route haha. I like to challenge him, and it's fun for me to learn it as well.
The Legend helping with the wok is awesome, I'm jealous! Nice jeep too!
The man, the myth, the legend, captured in a video for the first time! Haha thanks for watching!
That's so frickin' cool! Now you gotta build an offset!
Haha I actually have most of the stuff I need for an offset at my dad's already!! Gonna start on that next time. Not as big as I want to go but it's a start! Thanks for watching!
Jack of all trades looking forward to the cooking
Thanks for watching Jorge! Cook coming soon!

Thank you!! It was such a fun build and I can't wait to start cooking on it!

@@GorillaJoesBBQ You guys did everything perfect. It will hold and last long time.

Thanks sal! I am pretty happy with the results! Thanks for watching!

Yeah I randomly saw the disc at a thrift store and knew what I had to do haha. Now I just need to build a solid base! Thanks for watching!
Good job Joe, I have made a few over the years. We have a local Farm Supply Store that now sells new plow disc without the holes in them.
Nicely done man. That looks like a sweet fun project.
Thank you! It was definitely a fun project. Can't wait to improve on it more! Thanks for watching!
That was fun watching you make the wok!

Thanks for watching!! Definitely a fun project to bring this back to life for a new purpose!
That turned out to be a nice Wok Joe. Looking forward to see a cook. 👍🍺
Thank you! Yeah I debating throwing the cook into this video as well but didn't want to make it too long ha.
Your dad is the go to handy man
Dang straight haha, can build you anything haha.
Great video, now its party time🔥👍
I was thinking of you and your cooking shovel as I grinded this bad boy down! Haha, thanks for watching!
@@GorillaJoesBBQ i love making something and then cook with it. So rewarding.
Thats just really cool, great job👍🏼🇺🇸🥃
Thank you! It was definitely a fun build!
Thats so cool!
Thank you! The cook video coming up has my MeatStick in it also! Coming up next week hopefully!
Your father knew you had to heat the disco up before welding it,most people don't know that is the right way.
He's a pretty knowledgeable man! I am glad I can learn so much from him. This past weekend we built a new cooker to hold this Wok on, that video will be coming soon!
@@GorillaJoesBBQ Have you ever built a rocket stove, that disco skillet would fit real nice on one.
@@eastside0434 I haven't yet. But my dad's been finding some tubing in that would work good for it, that's out next project!
