Yeah, the disk is about 3/16" thick so I'm usually welding on medium heat and medium wire speed. I weld on 240v so that can make a difference. Every welder is different, so if you send me your welder I go, I can give you a place to start.

Good morning! What kind of burner you bought from Amazon, May I ask if you will?
This is the specific burner I used, but I got it when it was on sale. It's still a good burner for the price. amzn.to/3TgTVhJ
Tractor Dealers and Tractor repair places have a TON of them!
I have the same disc with the same bottom in it, getting ready to start cleaning it up the same way! 👍🏽
@@MasterFalconer-pv8zb I like the ones with the bottoms better. They're perfect for holding the oil.
love when a guy has a shop and just makes stuff
I’m very happy with my new disco from southwest but that’s a really nice one with a flat center 👍🏾
Thanks, I like the flat center for cooking things in oil, but I've heard good things about Southwest.
That’s awesome
I'm new to welding could you tell me the settings you used on your welder because I'm make one of those.

how about welding some handles on it....they are very useful.
I need to add some. Originally I didn't want them to get in the way, but I'll be adding some, soon.
@@RoadandReel very handy that way you can pick up the hot disco with out getting burned if you ever need to.
@@rubengonzalez750 yeah, I picked up some of the spiral wrapped bbq handles that I'm going to put on. It should also keep my hands a lot cleaner.
No side handles?
I welded those on later. I just bought a set on Amazon with the wire grip and they work really well.
I welded one up for a Mexican co worker almost 10 years ago. I do not know why I did not make one for me.
Ah, that's too bad. It's never too late to make your own, we love ours!
Get you a mini split for your shop, $500 for a scratch and dent.
What's a mini split
He's talking AC for cooling. He's not wrong.
Probably should have moved the VW too.
Yeah, you are probably right.
If you are a WELDER as you said 👍
You would have Included Proper Clothing in your PPE👌
