In this self defence video, we explain and demonstrate how you could react immediately after you've been hit with a surprise punch (a sucker punch).
Providing that you’re not knocked out on the ground, we look at how you can take action to minimise your risk of further harm coming your way, how you can stop the threat from the attacker, fight back and gain the upper hand whilst being severely disorientated from the surprise blow.
We also demonstrate how to respond if you get punched by surprise and are knocked down to the ground, how to recover into a defensive position, survive on the ground and get up safely.

Great video. Can I share something about the law? Most people do not know that under the law of self-defence, we can do ANYTHING to eliminate the threat. If you get attacked like you are demonstrating in this video then the attacker has already crossed that threshold, however, lets say someone is squaring up to you or walking towards you then we must tell them that if they come any closer that will be an act of aggression and you will use any force necessary to take them down. If the person wanting to fight you is bigger and carries on towards you, you have the right to use any weapon you can get hold of to neutralise them. One thing they must not do is continue to attack that person when they are down or neutralised.
A lot of people don't know English law and how far they can go. By stating your intentions the opponent decides to carry on engaging with you, then you go full hurricane on them and chew and part you are able to get your hands on. In a jury court, which is special in Europe, England is the only country that lets the people decide who is guilty or not guilty. It will usually favour self-defence and although you eliminated the threat and may have seriously harmed your attacker they could still go to prison for assault on top of getting a beating from you. Know the law, it's very important.

@@simpleselfdefence_ Just supporting your great work. You two are good teachers and go through pain to make a statement and offer step by step guidance. I love England and it's people, I'm also half Dutch and over there they have judges that put people in prison for profit. We need to cherish the English system and I'm grateful for people like you giving back to the community out of your own good will. My kind of guys ;) thanks again

It's called the law of Disproportionate Force. In America, the people also decide who is guilty. Some liberals will decide you are guilty even though your life was in danger, just because you used an "evil" gun. This is not right.

The Americans are the indians and the immigrants copied our system of law which is thousands of year's old. Except they want reinvent everything like it was their idea. The Americans do that with everything. Claiming to be the best country in the world however theyve been atwar with every country for the last 200 years.
Americans dont learn much about other nations around the world. They think America is the world and it makes me laugh :)

@@jolo4036we have gun licenses in England and people dont go round shooting others. America is the wild west and when guns were invented they used them to enslave the world. English dont need guns, we have long bow we can carve out of wood and be snlent assassins if we have to ;)
English always come in peace, Americans always wage war.

I'm a smoker... so seeing me walking around holding a lighter in my left-hand makes sense, right?... wrong!... that lighter is actually a pepper spray canister ... you don't want to surprise me... they're easy to make... remove the valve, fill it half-way with the liquid [buy it online, or make your own, it's easy] then put the valve back and fill it with gas to pressurize it [pressurized air is best] remove the igniter! and last train yourself not to spray your face by accident...

Ukemis are most for judo and also for falling (not in a fight). In my opinion the hand slap is pretty useless and even damaging. Learning to tuck your jaw to the chest is absolutely the best thing you study/learn to do (and take tonque back between teeth, but of course brains are more important than tonque) when falling.

Hey guys, both of you are wearing BLACK hoodies. Unfortunately this makes it really difficult to see in detail exactly what and how you demonstrate a technique. Other that that seems like a good plan on how to react.
