T.Rex, Ringo Starr and Elton John - Tutti-Frutti (1972)

- Опубліковано 19 лип 2016
- Filmed at the 3, Savile Row offices/studio of Apple Corps, where the Beatles made their legendary final performance on the rooftop on 30 January 1969.
T.Rex were joined by Elton John and Ringo Starr for this special jam session, giving the band two drummers and, for one day only, three of rock's major figures sharing one stage - alongside a stuffed tiger, birds, a zebra and Keith Morris snapping reels of film for posterity, May 1972.
What a lovely moment in music history
Ringo, Elton, and Marc? That's all the ingredients you need for a supergroup😎🎸🎶
Exactly. They should have kept going. "The Elton T-Beatles"
The motion on Elton’s hands are outstanding looks like he has four hands
He's playing four-handed, a special technique
Cocaine
It’s anbelibevall
@Ben72 nah...that was Linda McCartney.
He’s playing an 88-piece drum set.
Ringo's Mullet is a goddam perfect 10!!!!
I was going to say the same thing!! When a Beatle wears a mullet... it's glorious!
I don't think I've ever seen his hair that long before
Linda McCartney was like, “I’ll have what he’s having.”
@@AngusRockford Ringo Starr > Paul Mccartney on this part in mullets.
Its not a mullet. Sides are too long. If you want a perfect mullet see photos of McCartney 1973.
Never seen this before - mind blowing! R. I. P. Marc.
This was filmed back in the days that Ringo Starr was the head of Apple Films ... when he wasn't front of the camera (like in this clip) he was often behind the camera serving as one of the camera crew during the filming of the musical documentary this clip comes out of ...
Ringo and Elton are such badass!!
Kickass
So is Bolan
Bolan ain't exactly chopped liver there Batcat, there
You don't have to be into all these to like Ringo or Elton but you kind of do have to be into the seventies to be into T-Rex but he rocks ain't nothing wrong with that
@@charleshendrix232 t Rex is a forgotten band from the 70s.
Zeppelin, deep purple , Floyd, queen ,lynard skynerd , aerosmith, sabbath ..they ruled the 70s..
They are heroes not a loser like bolan
An early “All Starr Band” ❤️
Marc was very good.Ringo super, Elton, for me is the bomb.
Adorable! Ringo as usual wins my heart ❤️
Another UA-cam gem. 😊
Notice how all these comments are from the past two days but the clip was posted 6 years ago! 🤣 UA-cam algorithms strike again!
Love this! Especially Marc Bolan❤RIP
That was awesome our Rock and Roll Legends playing together👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌✌
I truly love trex
I think trex was (is?) a cooking oil!
How cool is that? Didn't know this existed or that they had collabed in this way. RIP Marc. Gone way too soon.
Gone way too soon when you consider that the other two are still with us!
Good news!! The tree is recovering!!!

🤨
This is a clip from Marc's film, "Born To Boogie", which I believe was directed by Ringo, if memory serves.
Sensacional ! The best time for music to me !
Awesome. What a dream team 👌👌🤛❤️
The Mighty T. Rex at its peak!!!
T Rex was never mighty. led zeppelin, deep purple, queen , Floyd ruled the 70s..
In England they had quite a lot of fans and Bolan at the time was a glittering star ⭐️
@@tizianalancia7679 i agree. Not everyone can be globally recognized legendary musicians..
Go Elton, go! Elton is playing with a Beatle!
Go Ringo go your playing with an elton
just perfect
Ringo, looked so kool
.
Leyendas.. Así de sencillo
Thanks for the rare video. Loved it.
a lot of talent there.
Três gigantes da década de 70, tremendo caldeirão musical.
Two giants from the 70s and a giant from the 60s you mean
WOW! Sad not much TRex music was saved. That's why ya' only hear " Banga Gong". Great Album "Slider"....great vid...
Wow! Thank you.
This is from born to boogie. Good film especially if you like TRex and haven't seen it.
I think we just watched the best 5 minutes in that turkey of a movie.
@@aliceborealis 🤣 well it wouldn't win any awards but it's quite playful and if you like Marc Bolan and company it's a relaxing watch.
Holy Crap!! What an awesome afternoon that must have been!! WOW!!
I guess Ringo had some time on his hands having recently lost that band he was with.
Best video I've seen since MTV started in 1981. !!!
Three of my favorite musicians!
Awesome Footage
Love it!
I just loved Marc Boland ... still do!
Wow. I want more.
Mr. Conductor is magic.
He hid all of that mullet, under his little cap.
Simplesmente maravilhoso!
elton was the best musician in the room
Crazy times , crazy line up .👌
Wow, I had never seen Ringo wearing such a glam hairstyle before!
Wow never even knew this existed. What a line-up!
Rare find.Thanks.
Very good. 👏
This is so random I love it

Snowing on Elton.
Ringo’s “Business in the Front, Party in the Back”mullet, otherwise known as the “75-25”, is f*cking legend.
i would sell my kindey to see them live
I would sell your kidney to see Marc Bolan alive too my friend
No you wouldn't
Marc Bolan saved my life 💜
Just flat out cool as s__t!
What a moment
Golden era!
When you realise the least famous member of the Beatles is still the biggest Starr in a room with Elton and bolan
Brilliant comment
I truly believe that The Beatles might
not have had the same sound
without RINGO.
I agree 💯 %
RiNGO was the magic ingredient they needed to rocket them to the top.
Not trying to start, but Ringo received the most fan mail while a Beatle.
he isnt less famous than anybody
Was was Ringo hanging out with all these second tier talents . . .
The father the son and the holy Spirit
Bolan is the hardest rocker in that room. 😎🤙
I truly appreciate the opportunity to be born in 2002 and see this without much effort… uh oh
Holy shit never seen Ringo with a mullet
Don't judge. Those were dark times for hair styles.
@@lamontcranston3177 there was cool styles in the 70s just not the mullet
The worst was the 80s some seriously terrible style
@@gregoryirwin263 Flock of Seagulls Human League.
Ringo normally had a beard with his mullet. That's what looks so odd
Ese Elton tremendo pianista y que decir de Ringo? Un héroe
Great 😍
Marvelous
3 Goats
Cool band
Nossa, que coisa boa 😀😀😀
Золоые Времена, Достойные Люди!
Cool
EXTRAORDINAIRE
Fantastic!
Unfortunately many coca plants were sacrificed for the making of this video
hell yeah
Thinking about 15 years before these guys were doing the same thing in there parents garage or living room.
i dont think so ringo was in the beatles and elton john was playing in a pub somewhere in north london. they didnt even know each other,
@@mikejohnson2638 Good point.
En 1:20 minutos hay más talento que en toda la historia del "Tictoc".
Elton played his best piano ❤🎉😂
I thought for a second, wow Ringo's throwing in some fills!!! then I noticed there was a second drummer.
Young Ringo!
Just 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🎵🎵
Красавцы!!!!!!
Рок 🎸 ролл твист рокобилли буги вуги шейк навсегда

T. Rex was a great musician in the 70s, but I think people of my generation will remember him best for his work on Jurassic Park.
His name was Marc Bolan!
@@prezakid9 the loser .....
A forgotten one
So one decent artist there elton john
Taken from the mark Bolin film Born to Boogie.well worth a watch.
Who's this Mark Bolin chap? A Marc Bolan tribute act?
From the movie "Born to Boogie". Directed and produced by Ringo Starr.
Ah yes.. Drugs and more drugs.
Probably the best time for rock and roll music.
Ringo !!!!
Uau!
Dig it 💯
Check out Ringo's mullet
Great, but I wonder why it isn't a live recording.
Bolan’s vocals aside, it looks and sounds live to me. Check Ringo’s drumming, and Marc’s solo.
@@walrtbstudios5430 Yea, that is not the audio from the camera, it was recorded
on reel to reel machine and they just did a poor job syncing it to the video.
Because they were evidently hell bent on the finished recording not containing any of Elton’s piano work.
Ringo rocking 3 haircuts at once.
😱👏👏👏👏
Oh my god how have I never seen this cocaine fueled romp! I love it, thanks for sharing this!
Elton's hands tell the tale. That is some coked-out playing. Relax boys. Try to enjoy it. Have a beer maybe.
@@lamontcranston3177 That’s so true… The Shadow knows!
@@lamontcranston3177 Is that coke on his shoulders or a serious dandruff problem?
Bingo
I’ve always felt like 1972/73 was the apex of pop music and it’s been a slow but steady decline from there. I think this confirms it.
🙂👍🇧🇷
Coming on like a glam Led Zeppelin
