    Thank you for describing how Joshua and Jesus are the same Greek word. This was so helpful to me.
    I have started trying to learn Hebrew and I really like how you put the Hebrew and the transliteration on the screen for us to see. Thank you

    It was the masculine yeshuah that was the lightbulb for me! I always wondered why the traditional Messianic pronunciation was Yeshua. Thank you. Now subbed.

    I don't get into arguments, but it does make my skin crawl when people call him Jesus. I get it, I was there only 3-years ago

      That’s a more severe reaction than I have. “Jesus” is still a legitimate linguistic descendant of Yeshua, from Hebrew, through Greek, then Latin, into English. I have a video about this also. ua-cam.com/video/IxiOaIvKutg/v-deo.html

    • @michaellawsonspeaks
      @michaellawsonspeaks 8 місяців тому +1

      Agreed, I guess “skin crawl” was too extreme of a word for my inner reaction. I also think it comes from a place that when most people use Jesus, it’s at the exclusion of Old Testament and the Jewishness of the scriptures.

    thankfully, YHWH the Father & YHWH the Son hear us regardless of our languages & pronunciation. looking forward to the NEW language upon Yahshua's return, then this will be one less thing to quibble about, along with Passover & calendar observances. 🙏🏼😎❤♾

    Among other issues, I find it peculiar that you felt it "wacky," "absurd" and "untrue" that the Name of YHWH was "in" the Name of the Messiah, when it seems to me that His quote in John 5:43 was referencing the "Angel/Messenger" after Mosheh:
    "Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for My Name is in him." (Exo 23:21)

    It is because it was Joshua’s name
    Hoshea plus yud when Moses changed his name to “Yahoshua” you are using a nickname
    Yeshua as you stated does not mean he will save it just means salvation

    • @perfectwordTV
      @perfectwordTV  8 місяців тому

      Yes, Moses changed his name. Yes, Joshua is yud plus Hoshea. No, it is not “Yahoshua”-this is refuted in the video. No, “Yeshua” is not a nickname. Also explained in the video.

      @GetSaltySalt Just because “TS” uses יהושע where it should be ישוע doesn’t prove anything or make it true. I wouldn’t advise relying on that Bible version.

    Both are wrong his name is YEHOSHUA in HEBREW. it's Yeshua in Aramaic

    • @perfectwordTV
      @perfectwordTV  8 місяців тому +1

      Why do you say that? We see “Yeshua” in Aramaic in Ezra 5:2, but everywhere else (Ezra, Nehemiah, 1&2 Chronicles) it’s in Hebrew.

    • @Nazarene_Judaism
      @Nazarene_Judaism 8 місяців тому

      because "yeshua" is an Aramaic variant name of the HEBREW YEHOSHUA, you should know this. The messiahs name is YEHOSHUA correctly or Joshua in direct English. any biblical lexicon will tell you that also. "Jesus" is a latin variant name used in modern English. Jesus is the Latin of Joshua.. so his name in Hebrew is Yehoshua Ha Mashiach translated to `Greek is Iesous Christos, from Greek direct to English is Joshua Christ. through greek to latin its Jesus Christ. Yehoshua Hebrew to Aramaic is Yeshua, I hope this helps. Shalom. and I am jewish by the way. @@perfectwordTV

      Nope. Nada. Just the one occurrence in Ezra 5:2, like I already said. Strong’s doesn’t say ישוע is or comes from Aramaic. So that’s five I’ve looked at now. Let me know if you find one.

    Shalom Kevin...you claim it is wrong to say Yashuah...well when you say HalleluYah it doesn't have HalleluYeh especially the Psalms - Psalm 68: 4; 83: 18. You have far too much semantics deducting and adding "mathematical permutations" but in a linguistic convoluted way...Keep it simple; HIS NAME IS YAH and came at the appointed time as the SAVIOUR to Save...Shua. So, Yah + Shua gives us Yashuah.. 🛐🕎📖🐑☑️

    i have to wonder… what is a “Messianic Jew”? one is only a “Jew” if they are either in Judaism, or can fully trace their lineage to the tribe of Judah. if one is following Messiah, one cannot be in Judaism, for Judaism fully rejects Jesus/Yahshua/Yeshua. alternative suggestion: "Messianic Hebrew"... although, those two terms are somewhat if not entirely redundant, for “Hebrew” refers to one who crossed over from paganism to following Messiah in both the OT & NT.

    • @perfectwordTV
      @perfectwordTV  7 місяців тому +2

      A Messianic Jew is a Jewish person who believes in the Messiah Yeshua. Paul, who became a believer in Acts 9, says in Acts 21:39 and 22:3, “I am a Jew.” Being Jewish doesn’t mean you are an adherent to Judaism. There are Jewish Buddhists, Jewish atheists, etc. Jewish is an ethnicity. (Incidentally, Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin (Romans 11:1). I am a Messianic Jew and follow Yeshua. Many in the Jewish Community say I am not a Jew. Yet my DNA says I am Jewish on both sides of my parents. Does my DNA change because I believe Yeshua is Messiah? I know of Jews who are Buddhist and are still considered Jews by the Jewish community but if you believe in Yeshua , you are an outcast. I don’t care what they think , I will follow Yeshua no matter what.

    Reading Bible i come to conclusion that Jeshua is JAHWE... He was with Israelis in desert, Who gave the Law, Who whrites with His finger 10 commandments... Than He finishes His salvation of people in flesh on cross
