the smell you mentioned.... i live in canada and yes i know what you mean! well the scent im talking about is during the wet season, after it rains and the sun comes out again there's this smell that's hard to describe. so when i visited philippines after many years growing up in canada, there's so many scents that made me say "WHAT IS THAT?? " it's a scent that i'm familiar with but some reason faded away. i remember hopping into a taxi and smelled the sampaguita flowers. And i was wondering what it was then i realize it was from my childhood!. There's so many scents that trigger good memories :) Oh but after hopping off the plane in manila airport, i did not get the same experience..... i smell hot city air LOL. it give me not so happy memories 😂

Because Taguig & Makati are urban area a develop cities in NCR or National Capital Region. however, outside NCR like Antipolo City & Tanay, Rizal you can see mostly Trees like Acacia not unlike the further part of Cavite or Batangas are mostly Palm Trees. i think your family should try to visit Taal Batangas or Rizal area if you like nature experience....stay safe Lynn & your Family

Hello Lynn, you can see a lot of greenery in Luzon if you go to provinces like in the north and south of Luzon. It's just you see all the metropolis of Manila that you see that's why it has less greeneries. Next time try visit the provinces and again enjoy nature. Salamat. 🙂
