  • I came back to destroy the lute. Didn't get hit or miss any beats at all during this run and kept my potion intact. In case you don't know what "low percent" means in Crypt of The necrodancer: Synchrony, I wasn't allowed to pick up any items besides the starting ones.
Though the whole run was very good, my favorite part is probably the way I was able to maneuver out of one of Zone 3's infamous spawncamps on 3-2 (9:06).
And on top of the overall quality of this playthrough, boss fights were especially clean this time:
I think Zone 5 King Konga is his easiest variant and I got the wide conga line formation, which makes the encounter extra simple. Just take out the beholder and egg demon and make the zombies block the electric mage.
Fighting Death Metal on Zone 4 was good, since it's still early in the run and it is a very stressful fight. His Zone 3 variation is widely regarded as the hardest, but I found it easier and less chaotic than the one in Zone 2 with 4 clones jumping around: if he manages to summon a green skeleton rider, stop targeting the boss and focus on the jockeys. Knock their heads off and leave the bodies - Death Metal can't spawn more than 3 enemies at once.
Of course, this wasn't relevant now. His teleports allowed me to catch up with him and he didn't get to summon a single foe, but I doubt that it would've made a difference anyway - liches aren't very threatening.
I had to kill Fortissimole on Zone 3 (just like in the previous 2 videos with my Aria Low% attempts), which is quite a difficult fight. You have to take the elementals out quickly since they can flood the arena with hot coals & ice and severely limit your space. Beetles also spread these tiles, so this fight gets harder the longer it lasts. If there's too much mess on the floor, you can try to clean it up using Fortissimole's ability to convert tiles to dirt when he's digging under them.
Zone 2 allowed me to take a breather by giving me the Deep Blues fight. His only variation that can't be quick-killed with a throw and a bomb is the one you encounter on the last zone, but since that fight is always replaced with the Golden Lute, Aria can always use this strategy.
Speaking of the Golden Lute, I finally didn't get screwed over by jockeys during this battle. I still got nervous at the end and messed up the quick kill, but it didn't matter. The two dragons that were summoned by the boss got killed by wall pigs, which was super lucky (though I probably could've handled them myself.)
