I’m seeing some negative comments so just wanted to share my experience with this pump. I’m an exclusive pumper for almost 5 months now. I got this one from my insurance and also bought a handsfree Elvie stride pump. I call my Medela pump my “good pump”, but also love the freedom of my Elvie. Pros: love this pump overall. Not heavy. Rubber things on the bottom so very stable. Definitely strong enough suction. Also fits dr browns bottles. Can also be connected to a medical pump (my job has lactation rooms with these pumps). Cons: no display what setting you’re on (amount of suction). The starting suction is too much for me, so have to turn it on while not connected. The fast stimulation mode is too strong for me, the extraction mode can go a little lower (my subjective experience). Had to separately buy a smaller flange, don’t understand why they don’t supply a few sizes.
Thank you for this thorough explanation! There are several breast pumps that I can get either free or at a discount and I'm so overwhelmed with all the different kinds!
Hi Elizabeth! Yes, there are so many options and it can be overwhelming. I will be posting more videos soon so stay tuned. Also, you can give us a call or check out our website for more information! thebreastfeedingshop.com/breast-pump-insurance-order-form/
Not too many reviews show you what it sounds like. I thought mine arrived broken because the noise pattern was strange, so I started watching reviews to find out if it’s normal. Looks like it is, thank you!
Hi Krystal! This is a very personal choice. I think Medela has always been a tried and true choice in lactation, but when you look at ratings, both of these pumps are very similar. As a new mom you may also want to consider a pump that can move with you, where you do not need to be tethered to the wall outlet. A good choice with a battery is the Motif Luna or Spectra S1.
the pump has a vibrating shaking like sound is that normal? seems to work ( ftm) mine didn't have a white ring flange so not sure which one is the newer or older. ( didn't check) when i first started with another pump it was quiet and apparently i been using the flange wrong ( i was using it sideways and it was hell to get my nipple in it) saw yours was upright i felt stupid when i tried it went in easy peasy ( i have size H on right and triple d on left) my nipple doesnt come out very much like i been seeing online when i first started ( i mentally shut on on third week) so trying to relactate (sp?) after a month and half ....
Do you know if there is any way to pump directly into storage bags with this pump? I bought Medela’s Pump and Save bags with the adapter as they were advertised as fighting any Medela pump. It did not fit this one.
Realmente me ayudo para tomar una desicion y sin duda prefiero un sistema cerrado que la version anterior, ademas super practica sus mangueras. Mucjas gracias
Hi Alona! Sorry we are just seeing this. Did you figure out the problem? We definitely suggest making sure that everything is sealed properly - that all the tubing is tight and that there is no moisture in it. Pump parts do need to be replaced over time so if nothing else, you may need to replace those membranes. Please let us know if you still have an issue.

Can anyone get a free pump?

@@TheBreastfeedingShop Ooooo I hope that you review the Motif Luna with battery soon, that one seems like a really good one, too!
@@elizabethcarroll8526 We love the Motif Luna! Be on the lookout for more coming soon!
I got the old style flanges with mine! The ones that have the flexible white edges

The suction is so awful dont waste your money
Do you know if the original 36mm flanges/breast shield work with this pump or not ? I am referring to the kind that were not oval shaped. Thanks.

Hello,
My “pump in style” stopped working. The orange membrane inside does move, the motor makes the noise though. How can troubleshoot it?

Should these new parts/ connector work with Dr. Browns bottles. My baby is almost completely bottle fed and it’s sooo many dishes to wash!
A lot come with adapters so different bottles will work.
Yes, for me the dr browns bottles screw onto this pump
doesn't look like it comes with a tote bag or the milk bag or the freezer pack like the old medela pumps used to come with.
There is an option for tote and cooler & we can help with that!
i got mine through wic it came with the tote/cooler , bottle shaped ice pack and 2 extra bottles
Thanks for this!
How does it go in a bra ?
The suction is so awful, waste of 💰
Yup
I hate it!!
@@Mzbsweetz3 3 pumps are my favourite and has great suction, spectra s1 , super ginie, babybuddha
Omg. I thought it was just my pump.
