I love your guides[i had a previous hoodlum version but the downgrade tool gave me a bunch of built in bloat mods, I decided to install fresh and use your guides for a clean start] I got everything running really well except 1 issue. This only happens with rosa enabled. if I get a 6 star wanted level and then go to that overhead freeway by the airport heading toward the lspd building the game will start locking up on me[I think it might be a combo of the billboards and the heavy police presence] would you have any solution such as something in limit adjuster by chance? because I often like going on rampages around that area or is this spot perhaps maxing the games ram limits and they didn't take 6 stars into consideration? several tests show nothing on vanilla game textures or even when i had skygfx set up but rosa crashes here at high wanted levels and runs just fine otherwise[wonder if its an issue anywhere else on the map]
as a kid on the internet in 2008, i used to see people playing modded san andreas all the time. Your extensive guide made the dream i had of playing this game modded so easy to do, it really goes to show both how great you are at explaining things, and how refined and streamlined the modding scene is for this game. Thank you very much for creating this!

@Roy-ny7ve as I heard it's the junior who's accused of stealing because he fixed and uploaded some mods on his website that were made by other people. Not sure is this really bad.
Anyway, his works improving and fixing GTA are huge
@@randomlurker8515 nobody ain't perfect but the way those toxic people harrassed Junior and his girlfriend was really awful and yes the dedication and hardwork Junior is giving for old GTA trilogy is really impressive
@@Roy3.16 Literally 90% of mods I use in San Andreas are Junior's lol, he is a beast
I spent a lot of time during 2006 and 2008 installing mods in GTA VC and SA, and I see that a lot has changed for the better since that time. Something in particular that I've always wanted was a ModLoader and the possibility of actually adding things rather than replacing them, and I see that those possibilities finally exist.
But something that I could see over the years, even away from the modding scene, was the growth of the MixMods Team. As a Brazilian, I can say that I am very proud of the work they have been doing over the years.
I would also like to thank you for this incredible guide and for sharing the work of the MixMods Team with the world, it's great to see that there are people outside of Brazil who recognize and value their work. That said, I would like to say that your work is incredible too, not only in these GTA SA videos, but in the GTA IV videos as well. It would be great to see you exploring some mods for GTA VC, I love this game.

This has been nothing less than an excellent guide for newcomers and advanced modders alike. Thank you so much for creating this short but extremely informative and helpful guide! These old GTA games will never die, because mods keep coming and they keep the game feeling fresh and new, or (my favorite mods) fixing old bugs and polishing the overall experience!
I spent most of a day trying to mod San Andreas only to find out that I never reverted to 1.0. This series has been a huge help with my redo! Very simple to follow, helpful info box, and just all around thorough. Here's a subscription, cause I'll probably be back for more modding advice :)
Another tip for ModLoader :
ModLoader can ignore a file/folder if it's name has a "." in the beginning.
Eg : ".Infernus.dff" will be ignored by ModLoader.
By this method I also keep the "ReadMe/Instructions/Credits" files inside the mod folder and append "." to their name in the beginning so that I cam keep track if a mod has some specific instructions, quirks or incompatibilities with other mods and have mod loader not waste it's time by trying to read the file. 👍
Thank you for this quide. Haven't played or modded GTA SA for couple years now. Some thing were forgotten, few thing from the quide were even new for me. I cannot imagine how helpful that would be for a beginner.

I actually haven't seen much of it, I don't really watch other GTA UA-cam channels (except GTA Series Videos and Vadim). It sounds amazing in theory, but I've seen a LOT of projects with a smaller scale die off due to being too ambitious, so it's hard to keep much interest when these type of projects typically never work out. I hope it does however and good luck to the developers of the mod, maybe I'll check it out in the future.

Your videos are very detailed and well explained. I would like to see continuation of this playlist with few mod making videos. For example make your own cheat menu from scratch. Let's say option to give player 1000 life, option to spawn taxi and option to spawn rocket launcher. The point would be to show some coding including UI coding and how to do some basic stuff. In later videos you could also also show how how to change visuals for example display exact number of health above aimed person in addition to this green to red triangle. The Cheat Menu C++ source code can be a bit overwhelming so making some very simplified version with explanation of it would be cool.

I have found this guide to be extremely helpful. I tried to use this guide to install Vice City, because the comprehensive VC mod I used froze during the 2nd to the last mission, so I thought I would follow the SA guide to re-install VC, but I it did not work properly. I would be great to have a 7th follow up guide solely for VC.

I have been playing GTA SA on PC for almost 20 years. Its crazy to think that for most of that time there were no tools like modloader that make life so much easier. We had to install mods manually. And we didnt have stuff like CLEO, Moonloader, etc
Thank you for the series. My games modded now and i learned a lot. My only suggestion would be to talk about modloader priority. What it means and how to use it properly.

I was thinking of a SAMP guide, but I'm not too sure. SAMP can be ran with mods, but some mods might not work with it unfortunately or will need to be tweaked to work.

But I see I see, I was curious because I tried running SAMP last night with mods installed (only a few). I would get the server WTLS2 server to load, but then it got stuck on the loading screen every time. Then I’d have to restart the computer and try again. Maybe lll just try removing the mods and run it that way
@@xJdB32x ROSA installed the way it is in this guide won't work with SAMP, so it's that. The mod page has instructions on how to fix it.

I have become a modding pro!
I loved the SkyGFX, the ladder mod, the open limiter and all those mods from previous tutorials.
However just wanted to ask if there is any possibility of making a tutorial on modding GTA SA with the best possible HD graphics (SA_DirectX 2.0 or 3.0) with no drawdowns? (Crashes, full story working, etc...).
Do you have a moding guide for Vice City? I can't find any good videos on UA-cam. Most people on UA-cam are throwing random mods with any type of explanation or calibration as you did with SA.
Ended up following the tutorials and have got like 20 mods installed+enb series mod lol

It's very very similar. Some things are different, but for the most part if you can mod SA, you can mod VC.

Hey brother, I only have one question. So, I followed all of your videos to the letter. I have been playing the game for a while now, and it looks amazing and performs good. But I do notice one problem that I can't find a fix for. It's possible it can be on one of the Bloom effects in SkyGFX or one of the others. In the game, anything that is the color white is really bright as heck. Example: in some of the safe houses. The white tables in the kitchen, CJs Boxers, when you go on a date with Denise the light coming through the windows, anything that is the color white is blasted high in brightness. How can we fix this?
Thank you for all these videos, I know how much work went into them. Just a quick question, I followed every step and the game looks amazing, although it's quite laggy, not very laggy but is not 30 fps either. Now when i turn of fps lock it is smooth as butter, but the car breaks as soon as I release the accelerator, this issue is fixed if i set it back to fps lock. I tend to mention I have a rtx 3090ti so the pc is not the issue. Also I followed every single step from your tutorial, any ideas? Thanks
Do you use framerate vigilante mod? It deals with most of the issues caused by the game working above 30fps

Hey I have question. Do you know why my GTA SA sometimes has a drop of FPS out of nowhere. When doing turns, near Jefferson or Las Colinas, etc. In one street it could have around 60FPS but then I turn and in the turning ir drops to 15-20 and lags horribly.
I have a good PC because I run other wayy heavy games that SA (specifically in SAMP) and they run me at 60FPS but GTA SA doesn’t.
Do you have any suggestions about how to fix this?

another tip he did not say when you hit windows key+tab open a new desktop you can move the crash game to the new desktop and close it out with task manager some games will not let you see task manager in the new desktop so best to move the game that is blacked screen to the new desk top then open up task manager

In GTA SA while flying in hydra the afterburners (the one which gives blue flame for thrusters) sometimes dont work or show those effects..is there a reason?.. some body please help...!

Really good guide but after installing all of this and like two other mods from your channel I think the issue is with my 2DFX mod because everything I start playing it looks like it’s intended to but once you start driving the cables on the pole stop loading as well as the roads and a after objects like fences or bushes they all start appearing white I already follow your guide for ENB but this is not an ENB and it still gives me this issue no matter what I do

Doubt it’s a problem with streaming either since I already downloaded the patches found in your channel, hopefully we can come up with a solution
Streaming memory is either too high or too low. No idea how since we increased it in this guide.

@@TJGM i put 4096 of ram which is 4 gb to make sure it would load properly since it wasn’t on the preset you put on the video which I already tried fixing it by watching it, any recommendation on how much ram should I put if I want my game running flawlessly?
@@nandothedon That's not how it works. Watch the video properly please and listen.
Also I show what issues occur in the video if the steam memory usage is too high or two low, are these even the issues you're having?
@@nandothedon I can tell you how to fix it. Its mainly u put less or more ram. The best is to know how much ram u have. For an example (if u have 4gb ram use 2 gb ram, If u have 8 gb ram use 4 gb ram). If it doesnt work put 1 extra gig ram in. That should stop the lag and the texture loading issue.

yes you can, if you're didn't mind living with cj being much slower at swimming and other miscellanous glitches related to the physics being tied to the frame rate thing

Howdy lads, i am having one simple issue. I am not sure what is causing it but, my game is stuck at infinite loading screen bar at 99%. The music is still playing, background pictures change until it reaches 99% but yet the music is still playing. Anyone got any solutions? ( I have followed everystep as shown in the videos)

@@gytautasbuivydas3780 Could be your anti-virus or broken browser cookies. Try turning your anti-virus off if you do have one, and also try loading the website from an incognito (Chrome) tab or inPrivate (Microsoft Edge) tab.
@@TJGM Nope. Still doesn't work in incognito even on work computer at different location and network. With phone same issue, getting 403 Forbidden...

I left Mixsets v4.3.7 with this damn password, so I don't know the password to decompress
Hey TJ everything's working great with my copy after following your tutorials, just one issue I don't know how to resolve. I don't know why but for some reason there's constant pop-in and out of models and textures in my game, and not just in the distance but also near as well. Say for example the buildings and roads in close proximity would constantly flicker between ultra low quality and normal. Any idea what could be causing this ?
EDIT: I figured it out by myself, apparently I needed to download the "Improved_Streaming" mod as my limit was too low by default. It was your video that actually helped me...

Does anyone have problems with SilentPatch? the game keeps crashing everytime i use my mods. Parkour mods, fly mods, and stuff. And my landscape rendering is terrible, when i have skins for guns and character. This problem only goes away, when i uninstall SilentPatch.
