I love this song. One of my favs on the gray chapter.
I LOVE the whole album one of my favorite slipknot albums😊🤘🤘🤘
So this song is from The Gray Chapter, the first album they made after Paul died. One of the things Corey has said about the time in between his death and this album is people were really trying to push them to make an album and do shows and they did a few tribute shows but they just weren't ready to make an album right away. To me personally, I feel like this song is really speaking to that. You know someone trying to tell you how you should feel and how you should act after losing someone and you saying back; no. This is how I feel and this is my reaction and I don't care how you think it should be. I could be totally off but to me, that's what this song interprets to.
Slipknot’s aggressive and melodic sides are on a different level... they can do both so damn well 😎
I like this one but I don't like the fact that is the ending song for The Gray Chapter. Great reaction!

How ironic was it that I was listening to this song and here we have a reaction. I’m excited
I think this song is about 2 things - 1. This was the first album after Paul died and fans were begging for a record and this was the longest they have gone without releasing. Hence the “I’ve come back from the dead, but my cities will never sleep again”. I get this whole idea of “poking the bear”. 2. I think the title also is a shot at fans who don’t like their musicians happy. Often, Corey has gotten shit for being happy. So if he is happy, and in love then he can’t get to that crazy place that some fans think he needs to be to make darker music.
love the dark atmosphere on this song. the aggresive and melodic combination Slipknot put on their music always sound so good 🤘🔥.
When you said “all up in my face” I immediately thought of the Korn song “All in the Family” Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit going back and forth lol. Anyone else think of that too?
this song and a lot of the album it's on is about the death of paul gray, their bass player, most of the rest of the gray chapter is still that intense kinda in your face stuff they've always done and they use that as an outlet so i guess you could interpret it as like "well if you're after a gloomy introspective song about grief here it is but we're just gonna throw it in at the end of the record and not make a big deal out of it being there, but it's there if you go looking for it"

"My cities will never sleep again". By this he wants to say that after he's come back from the dead the cities where his people live will no longer fall asleep, i guess. There was no new songs in 6 years, in case of Paul's death, so here Slipknot come back again, and their cities will nerer sleep again)). @Kurtis B. Music Did you agree with me?

This song is just a masterpiece
I love your wrestling comment. I am a huge wrestling fan and my wrestling character enters to this theme. He is this insane crazy guy who hacks into the company to help the corporation into failing. He will do anything for the fans and will go through everyone's path to get the company up in views. His only motivation is to make great stories that the fans will love so that pro wrestling could stay alive. The fun thing is his character isnt really good(face) or bad(heel). He will do anything and challenge anyone good or bad just to get the best match possible. He will try anything to piss the opponent off so when the match starts my character will truly get the best version of his opponent. When I mean anything he will do anything. Cut the microphone during promos. Talk trash to his face that most people would be scared to say on tv. Even messed up stuff like kidnapping family members and threatening to beat them half to death to get what he wants. This is obviously scripted and noone would actually get hurt in the process. I have awesome ideas where he will be in a match with his opponent inside a cell or cage and since he would handcuff the opponent to the cage. Since he is good with hacking the character would be able to raise the cage while handcuffed so that he cant compete and my character would win because the opponent wouldn't be able to compete. I have got ideas for days. The name of the wrestler is OVERRIDE. The name is based on the song also by slipknot. He does wear a crazy mask and after a while I thought it would be cool for his fans to create the masks for him to wear at special ppv. My dream is to get into wrestling. Not really inring but be part of the creative team. Make up stories for wrestling and see it come to life.
