  • Godzilla Minus One is the newest Japanese remake of the iconic monster who has captured our hearts ever since its original release in 1954. The newest film in the Godzilla genre features post war Japan when the country is still trying to recover, and "a new crisis emerges in the form of a giant monster, baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb."

The best Godzilla film ever made was Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975). Hands down, period. The music, special effects, suit designs and the human interest is untouchable. My honest opinion. Never seen anything made afterwards that even remotely touched my heart. Damn shame they didn't continue the series in the mid 70's, just when the last film was a turning point in the franchise.

@@ErinUnderwood Well, I suppose it's a matter of what you are into. More vintage collecting for me. If you watch it, it's got to be the uncut version. There is a cut version that was floating around for ages and that is a nightmare! Especially if you are expert enough to know what was cut. The reasons behind why it was cut to shreds is a long story and my finger might get a cramp from typing it!
