The selling point for me on this box is definitively the door jams. If those have rules they will be the hidden gem in this box. (And I need that psychic criminal model! That’s the coolest idea!)
The Arbites has always been overlooked in 40k. Glad they are getting some models and a chance to hit the table top. If you think about it they are the front line in every campaign that takes place in an urban environment.
Having identical terrain in this box will be a seller, for sure: the amount of 40k players wanting these kt boxes for the boarding action terrain is high due to the new arks of omen books. Buying these KT boxes makes more sense than the standalone 40k boarding action terrain boxes. If you're a regular KT player, it might be disappointing to get duplicates, but have no doubt: these boxes will sell.
Hi Lee! I am super excited about the Arbites. I'm kind of falling in love with everything concerning the law enforcement (that includes the Inquisition!) of 40k. I even heard that the Arbites has a special ability called "Police Brutality". I wonder what that does. On a serious note, I started watching your content after I found the rules of Kill Teams on your channel. Overall, I'm super excited for your content. I think you hit the sweet spot, both in terms of current 40k news and in terms of edibility. In other words, you have a good grasp of what you're doing, and you understand how not to make it boring. And I personally think that is a fantastic thing! Regards!
Three sets of this terrain isn’t weird. Not everyone bought both previous sets (I didn’t). We knew they were going to be this terrain, the entire season will be this terrain. So the next box will again be this terrain. However, where I do agree is they could add more “themed” sprues to each. Example: a sprue of Necron terrain in Shadow vaults, and some prison cells in this set.
The breathable walls are only for Narrative campaigns. Those wall segments won’t be usable for matched play. I’m pretty sure we’re just getting the same wall terrain + a unique sprue of terrain for narrative play each boxed set. My assumption is that (1) GW put a lot of design work into these walls, so they’re going to get as much mileage out of them as possible; (2) GW is assuming that their average customer is only going to buy the sets they want instead of every set. Also, my order for Shadowvaults was never fulfilled because they ran out. I doubt I’m the only one that happened to.
I saw some videos recently about "Misters of Battle", I'd call them "Battle Priests" but that aside, the new Arbites models in this set look like a perfect starting canvas for kit bashing "Misters". Remove the Arbites icons and greenstuff or paint on fleur-de-lys and they are like 90% there already.
I dont have any of the gallowdark sets yet But if i did ill add some greenstuff vines and some nature stuff to fit the kroot in the first one Necron coloring, symbols etc on the second And tons of blood gore and Drukhari stuff on the second to at least add variety for the three sets And it would still make sense if you make a big board of them as space hulks do be weird and mixed like that
I don’t have any kill team and the set looks cool so I will be picking this up! I really like the look of both teams … originally I wasn’t fussed with the exaction team but the more I see of them the better I think they are
I like the Arbites a lot. I have enough dark eldar so this box honestly is a pass for me. I dont need all that terrain, I have enough and I also build a complete space hulk that goes up in elevations so even though it's cool, it is a bit of overkill for me. Eventually they will release the arbites separate., then I'll pick them up. Thanks for the review mate 👍. The Daughters of Khaine you mentioned in the beginning from underworld will be interesting for my daughter .
Yeah it will do. The second one was enough to play too. Each set comes with different objective pieces but I think this sett could be the best with that awesome 3D hologram
Always fun to see Drukhari in Killteam with some new Kab sculpts. Still prefer to see Mandrakes in plastic as they would of made formidable adversaries emerging from the shadows of any ships corridors or sub basements. Pray they don't take you alive! 🙏
As you say, the terrain is okay, just ok. I actually planned to give this box a miss, but the breachable wall section(s?) is good, as are the other bits. If I didn’t want the rest of it for other games I’d be less likely to buy this. The Drukari aren’t my cup of tea either. Probably the best feature is the build options for the Arbites. They will be great for Arks of Omen. That said, Kill Team players will be fighting 40k players for these boxes.
Yeah, after careful consideration, I’m going to get this set too. What the heck, yolo. I own zero dark Eldar unless you count the corsairs. They might be another interesting “bad guy” team to run against the guard.
The Arbites look pretty cool, but they don't really look different enough from all the other "guard" minis I have from the previous boxes. Guard in KT are starting to feel like chaos in Warcry. Slight tweak on the formula but 90% the same. The drukhari though are really disappointing to me though, they needed more love than just an upgrade sprue, they simply look too old. Hope they release the "extra" space hulk sprues separately at some point. I'd like the terminals but I really don't need another set of the terrain especially where there's almost certainly a 4th set a quarter away.
They were always going to use the same walls for the whole season. It's way too expensive to design and make new walls. I like it because with KT you only need one set to have the full space hulk board.
I think it'll be end of Feb, early March latest. It's usually every 3 months but they released Shadowvaults pretty close after Into the Dark, so if it evens out it should be end of Feb.
hm ... difficult decision. I like the terrain bits, but as you said again the same walls? But the arbites models are very nice! I would have preferred a design that would have been closer to the design from the first Necromunda game. There they were less like knights but more like full body carapace (like todays police forces or similar to Judge Dredd). Actually the design of the helmet, breast plate and the shoulder pads reminds me a lot to the old 90s Blood Bowl human team. However, I like the design! The Dark Eldar are not my preference too. They look good, but I never really liked them, even the lore I did not like a lot so far.
@@tabletopskirmishgames I love the Arbites models . I know we wanted constant KT releases but now I wish we got 2 boxes a year with new terrain and brand knew teams.
I'm a bit disappointed as I was excited for the box, mostly for the Drukhari and some new terrain for boarding actions. Same human terrain, and though the Arbites are everything I hoped for, the Drukhari aren't what I wanted. Drukhari were the second army I've started, and I was really hoping for plastic Court of the Archon, Mandrake or Grotesques models. This upgrade sprue is not enough to make me want to buy more Kabalites, I could already field a team just like that if I wanted to. Oh well, not everything is for me.
HOLY ARBITES!!! Yeah, that box is going to be a ripoff but a must buy. Each model has a bigger and even more brutal looking gun. These models might make me actually play the new abysmal Kill Team rules... They're that good...
@@tabletopskirmishgames Yeah, just going to have to disagree with you on this one. I find the rules to be an utter dumpster fire, with the symbol base distance system manipulative and insulting. But I do enjoy your videos on the game as they are excellently crafted and show some nicely painted models.
It's really quite shameful that we have the same terrain yet again. The teams here are visually very interesting and look fun to paint but having the same terrain over again really makes me consider passing over this box. As a big fan of the concept and creativity of space hulks, I'm disappointed.
I'm still really happy about second season of Kill Team. I'm more then ok about this box set. Still not interested so my wallet is happy and this box won't grow my pile of shame :D
@@tabletopskirmishgames and I still into my conspiracy as to it being connected to why there are no more WD teams or free teams, because now these rehashed terrain boxes are the only source for the new models. Still no sign of Kroot or Breacher boxes either, right? I suspect this is intentional. And it is lame
I don't care much for this, though the Arbiters look to great as corpo enforcers, if you scrape off the Imperial insignia. Edit: The Kabilites look cool (but then, DE always are!). The rest is a bit meh inducing.
Ugh this is when I hate to be a completionist, another human team that if I paint in the same colors you would never be able to tell' em apart from the others and then ANOTHER dark eldar team? I have into the dark so I can get this one and have the two I need plus with the new terrain. Do I need to get any books for the other teams because I don't want to buy a full box set.
Looks awesome! Id love to paint those Arbites, but The Dark Eldar looks totally boring! Im buying me a boarding action themed Kill Team box, but not sure yet which one of the two, Shadowvaults or this new...

Better have more of these available this time as I missed out as it seemed very limited here in Australia.
Hope so!
Arbites feels like a good option for necromunda players who run the enforcers.
I believe you can still run them as Arbites in Necromunda as well

Early morning kill team video. Something nice to watch with my lack of sleep
It does feel early to make videos, I've had lots of coffee - too much 🤣
I didn’t get the second box so this is perfect for me!
I’d be happy to buy the upgrade sprue. I was lucky enough to get the first 2 boxes
As I didn't get the other two boxes because I didn't find the included Kill Teams appealing, this one's gonna be mine.
That's a great point, it's ideal if you only want one set and haven't gone for any of the Gallowdark ones yet.
