Thats a very true statement when someone wants to borrow your stuff they'll be right over but it's a totally different story to give it back to you.
Perfect for someone with a small yard like me, I'm bummed cus my grass didn't really bloom this year it's been so damn hot over here... I'm gonna have to look into mantis for next summer to get my grass in better shape. Thanks Dan and Eric!!
I have a large garden and it handles my large garden love it haven’t had to pull weeds because I cultivate around the plants

Those little tillers are the way to go for most people the big ones are just too big for most people to deal with. The Mantis is prefect for the home owner.

That is something I would like to get. For a small yard it would work great.
Mine turns about a 1/3 of an acre twice a year before ever seeing the grass or the driveway. I made a pair of spinning brushes from a busted dethatcher set and some floor cleaning machine/polisher brushes that were being thrown out by our local sports grounds.
The Mantis is awesome especially with all the extra attachments you can get for it. #TIACREW
I have a 2 stroke mantis that is about as beat up as can be. And yes everyone wants to borrow it and everyone thinks it's a good system . I have used the edger to cut lines before removing turf by hand. Love my mantis.. ps it was my grandfather's and was purchased alongside a snapper rear engine hi-vac back in 1998. Both still earning their place in the shed!

I never loan my equipment, except to close family. That’s my policy. If somebody wanted s a tree cut down I will just go to their house and do it for them. To many times in the past I have loaned out equipment and got it back broken, if at all. I just don’t loan stuff out, anymore, my policy.

I find the Mantis at estate sales about 5 times a year, can pick them up for $20 to $50 depending on condition, and sell them out for around $100. It's better than owning and lending. :-)

If Dan gets this upset over a mantis fender I shudder to think what would happen if Eric dinged the Ventrac!
Be nice if they made a heavy duty model. More commercial. lil bigger engine for more power/torque. Stronger bigger bolts/nuts/hardware all around more rugged. Same deal just more commercial an less home owner.
