    Hey there! :) can u recommend what kind/size of cable to use for flexible fire hoop wicks?

    • @RainbowCircus
      @RainbowCircus  3 роки тому

      Aloha,
      thanks for the question. Unfortunately I have not yet build or repaired a fire hoop as I don't own one. I honestly have no idea. of the top of my head I would maybe look at 5mm cable things. You mean the cable that holds the wicks, right? So the one that has to stand tall to keep the fire away from the hoop, but be flexible to not brake when you drop it.

    im looking for a diy to make the wicks to attach to my hoop ) thanks x

      I am sorry but I have never built a hoop. I wouldn't know how to give advice on that. I would start with some adjustable metal pipe fittings and some sturdy but flexible metal wire. But no idea how to make it happen, sorry

    I am creating a new fire staff. Which material shall I use for the gripping area? Thanks.

    • @RainbowCircus
      @RainbowCircus  4 роки тому

      hey man,
      there are several different grip tapes being sold and depending on where you are, what you have access to and what you want to do ( spin or contact) the choices would vary. Can you give me more information?

      hey,
      Thank you for your reply...
      I just finished to attach the kevlar (thanks for the advices).
      I am using it for spining... I thought maybe to use the material used on tennis racket. What do you think?

      @@eyalankri yes,tennis grip is awesome and works well. Also bike grip tape, which is a little less thick. The Homeofpoi.com grip is also quite nice but will need replacing after a year or so

    Trying to find the video where you show how to do the stitching.

      I talk about it in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/jXUoanM1bdM/v-deo.html
      I don't actually show the process though. If you want to I can make a video within the next months. Time is really tight atm though.

    Won't the tape melt and ruin the wick?

    • @RainbowCircus
      @RainbowCircus  5 років тому +1

      no, the tape is on the inside and only a few cm on the first wrap of kevlar. even if it would melt it wont ruin the wick. make sure to take proper cloth tape and you should be fine.
