  • In my second tutorial I'm showing you how you can make your own set of palm torches. I got the idea after using the torches of a friend. It's a cheap and easy way of making them and they're still great to use for all sorts of things. If you make your own set, let me know what your experience is.

    I am so happy you shared this! I'm doing fire for the first time at a burn and I wanted something to accompany my dance...on a budget. Lol thank you sir!

    you could also bend the kevlar over one wire and stitch it over the wire and then do the twisting, that way you end up with a totally secure head and a way to make holding the wire less painful for twisting.

      +themadscientest yeah, cool idea. I should try that some time. Although I have no trouble twisting/bending the wire the way I need it. but it could be helpful for others. Thanks man!

    I don't quite know to be honest, its normal tying wire from a tool shop or arts&crafts shop. I would assume it to be iron or aluminun or a combination.

      Fantastic DIY! I AM curious, may I use flat cotton wick instead of Kevlar?

    The heat doesn't burn/hurt your hands. I always assumed you need some type of small shirld type thing..?

    I'm curious about the method of twisting the wire.....I'm fiddling around, and using pliers/hand twisting...I'm not really getting a pretty twist. A video on THAT would be great!

      it depends on how fast and how close your index finger and thumb are. I use the same method for fire fingers, eating torches etc

      +Mike Richards I'm so very sorry for not replying to this earlier. But anyways, it helps if you attach the wire to a vice or something and then twist it with your thumb and index finger. But I ill look into a short video on that if you still need it. Love and sunshine! Al

      I meant to say it's how fast you twist the wire and how close your index finger and thumb are to one another. the closer the fingers and faster you twist, the tighter your wire becomes once you've reached the end.

    what type of metal is that wire?

  • @RainbowCircus
    @RainbowCircus  12 років тому

    nope it does not, unless you hold your hand upside down for to long, but in this case a shield wouldn't help you either ;)

    there is several good online shops I can recommend. Depending on where you are :) I always order through homeofpoi from NZ. It's the best Kevlar for fire eating and that stuff because it has no metal bits inside. try poi(dot)com
