- This is no ordinary field trial. We're at Prestwold Hall near Loughborough in Leicestershire, for the inaugural UK St Hubertus Cup - a competition for Hunt Point Retrieve dogs and their owners. It's as much about the hunter as the dog. We follow Fieldsports Nation member Malin Hewins and her young German wirehaired pointer as they compete in difficult scenting conditions.

Throughly enjoyed this video, i use a GWP for Hawking, mine is a little gun shy although young, just introducing to it ,410 first.
Interesting about the scent some days have been like this for me didn't realise it was a thing in some conditions.

Good day for you all. Firstly I'm not an anti . I was raised on farms. It saddens me to see that guns and gamekeepers have lost the skills they had in 50s & 60s i ask you what's different about these Woods today and you don't know. Because gamekeepers don't look after the land today like they once did. In 60s &70s our Woods would be full of song birds, now they are full of imported grey squirrels. Every time someone see's a grey squirrel it's a joke showing how hopeless guns & gamekeeper's are. Why don't you clean the land up before it gets to bad.
The world is changed by your actions, not your opinions... so why don't you get off your ass and do something about it.
