The amount of emotion this song elicits, given that I LIKE Pikmin but am not super attached to the franchise, is outrageous. It nearly moves me to tears, and I have no idea why it hits so hard.
A lot of people almost watched a grown man curl up and cry the first time I played the demo in Target. When I heard that I was transported back to being 8 or 9 years old sitting in front of my GameCube playong Pikmin 1 & 2
When I first booted up this game, I just had to sit there and enjoy the opening title screen. The imagery, the peek at the world we were going to be exploring, the overall aesthetic and vibe the music gave, it was all just so... Different. Whilst this game definitely had its stressful moments and levels, I jumped into this just wanting something generally peaceful, and this game delivered on that front and so much more. One thing that never gets any easier with each instalment though is having to say goodbye to your Pikmin and having to part ways when you finally get round to making the journey back home :(

It has impact, it has weight to us fans. it MEANS something. theirs even a little classic pikmin motif in there that made me cry. This theme is something special and I'm sorry you cant see that. it's your complete and total loss you cant experience this like the rest of us can.

...I never actually waited on the title screen long enough to hear the Pikmin leitmotif.
This gives me a nice peaceful mood to work to, especially after beating the game and lovinggg it❤
