- Опубліковано 20 кві 2022
- It has been exactly six months since Jetson entered the eVTOL market. To celebrate this exciting milestone, we are releasing a new video of the Jetson ONE eVTOL as the pilot explores a unique view of the Tuscan landscape.
To continue marking this special occasion, Jetson are pleased to announce their attendance at the auspicious Top Marques, Monaco, Grimaldi Forum and VivaTech, Paris Europe's largest technology event.
The ONE is to be unveiled by H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco on Wednesday 8th June 2022. The ceremony will be the first time Jetson ONE will be seen in public since it entered the market in late October 2021.

I am in my 70's. When I watched the 1950's sci-fi movies, I hoped for the day when that fiction might become reality. By the grace of God, I might have another 20 years to watch even more techno magic. Meanwhile, I want to fly one of these things so badly I can taste it!!!

(If you have questions about this post, please scroll down to check out my full explanations. I didn't intend to bring here any discussions about the on going war. I share this to encurage elders)
Me too, retired also. We LIVED TO SEE THESE THING'S. Miraculous technology.
Not a new technology at all. Germans had it during WW1. They copied from tartarian technologies. It existed in Egypt. Look up some ancient Atlas. ( Atlas is ancient maps for new generation, don't know it). For tartarian giants, civilization go to stuffed beagle, Jonlevi in the USA, Michelle Gibson is american in Australia, Paul Cook in UK, cracmal in Italy. For Titan giant civilization and petrified giants trees go to Mr Rogers videos under mud flooding university.
People have been complaining about the lack of noise in those quaint Tuscan landscapes for AGES, this finally solves it!
I'm amazed there wasn't people with pitchforks and shovels waiting for his azz when he landed ,,, that peace is absolutely no joke there
I guess kudos to Jetson for not pretending that this thing is silent. Showing it in this kind of landscape is perhaps the least flattering place for it though, what with the downforce blowing everything to smithereens below and the noise disrupting the peacefulness of the countryside.

Bought my first Drone about a year ago and was impressed but having learned its restrictions I can only imagine that this has a lot of technical issues that stop it from being commercially viable, battery time and wind speeds top of the list. Still I wish developers best of luck any push towards more efficient transport deserves praise.
Agree. BATTERY charging time and operation duration IS a real problem.
I'm no tech genius but I think sensors will simultaneously adjust blade speed / tilt for wind compensation.
@@andybilakshow260 They can and depending on the drone they can handle greater wind speeds but usually at a cost of power and at the end of the day they all seem to have their limits before they begin to drift. How something this big handles it I'm unsure guess it maybe the same as a Helicopter of weight and size.
The biggy right now is the junk battery tech we currently have and we all know it will develop but when that happens is anybody's guess.
@@WYO_Cowboy_Joe - Right. I was thinking, just figure a way to keep charging the batteries while it's running.
When batteries can last days instead of hours, these Jetson ONE will be very very popular, even if the cost comes down to $100,000 each.
Fantastic technology. I am 78 and would love to fly in one of these.
Also it needs electronics for stabilising and controlling, cos to count on only human abilities is too dangerous.
I guess it is baby steps for these experimental craft. All they ever do is take off, make a slow loop, then land. The eHang 216 is the only one I've ever seen go anywhere.

Unbelievable, that's cool! Love it!
Agree.
And as someone who watched some of the Jetsons cartoons...
This. Is. Awesome.
The trouble with quadcopters is their general inability to fly with one or more motors broken. Hopefully Jetson was/is able to make it so that if thrust is lost in one corner, the rest automatically adjust to prevent any dangerous changes in attitude.
EDIT: It seems some of you don't understand that when a plane or helicopter loses engine power, it can glide to safety. Without any power, airplanes can have a 10:1 glide ratio, and helicopters can have a 3:1 glide ratio. Quadcopters have a glide ratio of 1:1 or worse. In addition, a parachute needs a minimum altitude in order to function properly.
It’s got 8 motors.
Maybe attach a parachute somewhere?
Agree, even indeed flying with 8 motors, I would not flight at more than 10 meters high, as this pilot is doing.
And good luck if one of those rotor blades breaks loose.
True; quadcopters are dangerous for human transport. For safety there needs to be additional motors, and even with the failure of one or two the pilot should be able to land gracefully.
SO COOL

I'm not going to say there's a shortage of idiots of this caliber in society, my bicycle has nearly been taken out by a few of them, but I'm pretty sure the average human being can handle an oversized quadcopter.
my main issue with that statement is not everyone has $100,000 for one of these lol. More expensive than a car and it probably only costs 1/8 that to manufacture.
@@DFX2KX I imagine, at least for the foreseeable future, that people will require a PPL (private pilots licence) in order to operate these. Understanding air traffic, planning routes that avoid class A-D airspace, communicating with ATC etc. Not to mention training, and the fact that these will not be permitted anywhere near a major residential/metropolitan area. Just another experimental aircraft for people to fly about at the aerodrome on the weekend, at least until there's a hell of a lot more automation and the FAA can work out some system of air-highways that could accommodate this type of traffic.

@@generalawareness101 Would be nice if it fit into the paragliding category where there is no license, just that they recommend you watch a video or take a safety course. I've personally always wanted to buy one of those if I had the money.
@@danpittsg I am scared of heights if what I am on isn't at least as wide as I am. Dangling from some harness wouldn't be for me, but damn that would be fun. If I tried it, without crashing or killing myself (lol) I might could get over the height thing for it. Growing up I was afraid of all heights and got over most of it to where I can climb on roofs etc...
The problem is the motor, and the design I am sure would make it into the ultralight category. If I remember right (been a VERY long time since I researched this) but the dividing line was not if it flew but how fast it could go in the air, and the weight it could carry. Now they want GPS with tracking info etc... from what I see on the net every once in a while.
These are everywhere ! You just happen to be one of the few people to SHARE !
wow awesome
I am still waiting for the most important video for this seemingly amazing creation. We need to see a single, unbroken, observer pov. Pilot approaches, enters, takes off, short fly around, returns/lands and finally exists vehicle.
I agree. And without any background music. Can the pilot let go of the controls during flight? I have many questions.
Exactly , I am not impressed.
@@BigEightiesNewWave ya name sounds like an 80s bully
At least this was better than their last overly edited video.. Still, I bet they won't show that as it will show this thing probably used 50% or more battery in that 30 second flight..
@@FJB2020 I agree. Not enough range and needs lightweight ducting around those propellers for safety and added power.
Endurance : 10 mins , Purpose : mowing the tree tops and lawn !
That is very cool.
I definitely need this for my work car!
Hi from Italy! I love what you're doing!
Awesome! Thank you!
As much as I'm excited by this, this video is terrifying and exhibits all of the problems with this becoming a reality. Trees everywhere, power lines, light poles... and no collision avoidance system. The controlled airspace for personal flying devices need to be more strict than even drones. Imagine enormous pieces of broken drone falling from the sky. It isn't about the pilot, it is about the people on the ground.
I agree. As a licensed private pilot, the "Everyone's a pilot!" tagine kinda does me in.
Its been busted as fake before Its hanging on cables and the rest is computer CGI
The only way I see this working in a mass scale is if the person is just a passenger, and some regional automated system is doing the actual flying. The passenger can input destinations and the system pilots the craft to that destination, in coordination with all other crafts in that region. That way there's a limit on crashes with other craft or ground objects.
Those uncovered propellers are frightening. I wouldn't get within fifty feet of that thing unless it had full cowlings over those props.
Thanks, Karen
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😛
I am watching "soon we will have flying cars!" stuff on the media now for 35 years. Still not saw a single one anywhere ever.
Wow that's an amazing achievement. I want 1...
Arrumado demais, excepcional!
I'd sure love to see this traveling over the top of stop and go traffic. Would really make drivers dream.
I understand your point and appreciate it. But, let's leave the technology at this stage. No flying cars. There is enough disorder on our highways. Imagine the lethal chaos if technology took that mess to three dimensions?!
@@jasondaniel918 You misunderstood me, I was just dreaming of seeing one of these doing a demo by flying over traffic. Just the looks of shock on all those drivers would be priceless.
@@rickl4952 Yes, I understood your meaning, and I agree. I failed to acknowledge your meaning, and just jumped ahead. Sorry.
People are terrible drivers, the last thing I would want is to have them flying over my head.
@@jasondaniel918 Madam: officer, he stole my money....Officer: ok Madam, which way did he go....Madam: Officer he went UP....and away...
HELLO, good video thank you, I liked and subscribed
Oh hello future, nice to see you!
WOW!!! a billion times. Regardless of its flaws for now but very very impressive. This is DEFINITELY the start of our flying car.
As long as you don't fly over my house.
There will be a completly new marked for ear protections in the fashion industry … :)
start of flying cars? its' the same thing as a helicopter but with 4 propellers instead of one.
Can you imagine the carnage? There are far too many people who can't drive responsibly and they're restricted to the road, not freedom of the sky.
They should increase it's power then develop these in Phoenix.
