A beautiful painting! I particularly liked the way you mixed your colours. Also I really appreciate artists who have the generosity to share their valuable knowledge. Thank you
Thank you so much, as always! You are one of the best things that happened to me on UA-cam. I have mentioned before how much I appreciate you sharing your colour mixes. You did not disappoint this time either. I hope to finish my landscape this week, with your inspiration and help with green. 👏🏻🇿🇦
Beautiful place😊 The shadow in front is interesting, but once you put a frame on, it will be pointing towards the left corner, which is maybe a little bit unfortunate. Loved the tree/cloud harmony in the background. I have only painted plein air once, in a forrest, but it didn't take long before I packed up my things. The flies and mosquitoes was too annoying😅 Love many of your paintings, and thanks for sharing. Eleo
Thanks for watching my videos. Having flies, mosquitoes etc is pretty common when painting outdoors. Sometimes they stick to your paintings. Regardless painting outdoors is still fun and it will improve your painting skills 😀
An excellent video and much appreciated. I'm struggling (again) with painting trees, and this demo is a really good tear-down of the fundamental steps. And I really need that. Again. And again.....
Hi Sam, the painting still looks awesome as does the tree😍. I love the light and shadow areas which give the impression of a sunny day. Really helpful since I'm also one of those people who are struggling with drawing trees. Thank you very much, have a nice week❤
Wow! You are in New Zealand! It's a dream to me visiting your country. I'm on the other side of the world, São Paulo, Brazil. Beautiful work and fine tips! Thank you.😊
@@SamuelEarpArtist I’m surprised you got used it. I’m in the northern hemisphere, and even though I lived in the southern hemisphere for a few years when I was a child, the reversed seasons still sounds so foreign to me.
@@SamuelEarpArtist Where are my manners! I never thanked you for making this video. I like watercolour paints, but it’s nice to look at oil painting process from time to time. Thanks!
It looks like you're painting with oils. How do you manage to do that outside on location? Do you carry a can of paint thinner along? Do you use lots of different brushes, so oyu always have a clean one? How do you avoid spilling poisonous substances when you paint outside? I'd love to paint outside, but doing it with oils seems like a big hassle. Would like to hear how you do it conveniently! Thanks in advance!

Thank you sharing this! It’s so helpful to hear your explanations.
You are so welcome! 😀
Thanks for the blueprint about painting landscapes in oils! Nice to have all the info together :). Very generous to make it available to many people.
Beautiful painting and great video Sam
Thanks mate 😀

Love the painting. It turned out great in spite of the weather challenges. 👍
Thanks so much 😊

Great work. How do you transport your damp painting’s so they don’t get damaged? Cheers

Spring in October!
I am used to it now. I'm in the southern hemisphere in New Zealand so the seasons are in reverse.

Hi Samuel, I tried to get your blueprint and join your free cause, but I couldn't. Could you tell me why?
