The question here is about how durable the joints of bed elevation tech. Many are complaining it is not durable and soon you will not be able to put it back smoothly
Honestly what's hard is the fact that, yeah, these do save space, but unfolding them still need space too. So what if you have a foldable table when you don't even have space to unfold it.
This is just space saving furniture. Not necessarily this works well in a tiny 300 sq ft apartment or something like that. This is more to make multiple use of the same furniture. Shelf + Bed + Couch or Cabinet + dresser + something else. As you mentioned, You still need place to unfold.
