The correct allegation against Biden is that one of his first moves in office was to red tape tf out of federal land energy permits. That being said, the photo op thing is a cheesy tactic that politicians do to make it look like they are helping a certain group of people without actually doing much. Policies go a lot further, and firefighters are a part of a union, Trump himself more often than not has not been a fan of unions, it's quit possible if he gets back in office those firefighters could have a lot less job security. I don't know the details, but the concept of "let's wait for a better deal" is a sincerely reasonable take. Additionally, when one side ideologically doesn't want anymore immigration, they could care less about a bill which streamlines and strengthens the process.
Most of the conservatives in this country want southern ground based immigration reduced to ZERO.

That's an oversimplification of what occurred. The border provisions wouldn't have slowed the amount of people crossing the border it would only increase capacity at the border to process people. That in part was why many republicans voted against the border bill.

Let's put even the slightest brainpower into what this "deal" would look like. So the current situation is that Putin is ramping up its wartime economy even more, making moves that will support its war efforts in the long term, while also making moves to support Russia's ability to wage war with NATO, all at great cost with the goal of the complete annexation of Ukraine despite Western support.
So if continued Western support isn't enough to deter Putin's ambitions, the brilliant strategy to stop Putin is to tell him "We're tired of supporting Ukraine so could you stop invading, please?" What fantasy land do these people live in?!
P.S. the idea that NATO and allies can't even hope to defeat Russia despite Russia having a fraction of a fraction of the combined GDP is sending exactly what kind of message to the Russia-China ambition to dethrone NATO/Western geopolitical dominance?

Destiny you need to challenge their ideas when possible and not just concede. You can’t let them off the hook. There are two truths....how you want to see it compared to how it actually is. Biggest influences on all prices is availability and shipping. For food and essential goods to be so highly priced,there is either a shortage in production or costs to deliver to point of sale are rising.

It's available information online just look up "US oil production" we basically set daily records and are a net exporter of oil.
I did a deep dive ages ago on energy independence. As far as I remember there were 2 definition. The first one would mean the US has been energy independent multiple times.
The second one has never happened, including today.

In rhetoric 101 you learn there is rhetoric that is used to arrive at the "truth" and rhetoric that is used to obfuscate. When people use this many logical fallacies (especially as a pol sci phd) it's obvious they are committed to the latter. No amount of good faith argumentation is going to beat them, that is the fuel to their propaganda.
Destiny tends to argue in good faith and hope the audience recognizes that, but the propaganda is designed to take advantage of that dynamic to convince the audience in the other direction. I don't envy Destiny's position, not sure what would be the best direction to take. Having a list of fallacies is great, but the more you point them out the more you'll be accused of "debate pervertry".

German here, and even though 2010 was quite a bit before the time I had any interest in politics, the problem that Angela Merkel most likely speaks about is that in Germany, we had and still have a problem with immigrants who come to Germany through legal means but refuse to learn German or integrate into German society. They form subcultures within the rest of German society and at times behave in problematic ways. Most of the immigrants in Germany do a great job integrating, but since the "bad apples" form their subcultures and, as in the example Angela Merkel gives in the speech Destiny partly watched in one neighborhood of a city, they get perceived a lot more than the many successfully integrated people who are spread throughout our society.
The damage those "bad" immigrants caused for the "good" ones is quite huge by now. Even if someone really wants to do well in Germany, speaks fluent German after only a few months in Germany, and even works in a field in which Germany is desperately understaffed (education, care of the elderly or children, etc.), their lives are extremely difficult here (not due to discrimination, but through extreme hurdles in our bureaucracy), while the people of those problematic communities are not much impeded, since they found ways to navigate those problems and even have people in their communities who don't do much else but help others navigate these problems. Naturally, individual immigrants who want to do well in Germany and integrate do not have those advantages.
In recent years, there have been a few bills that try to make it easier for well-integrated immigrants, but due to the fact that local workers of the German state have a disproportionate amount of power over those matters, there are some cases where even the well-integrated immigrants need ages and a lot of help from outside parties to get working permits, marry, etc.
