Hey top 2% im gambit over here I typically run solar titan with a slide shot 1 2 punch wastlander and explosive personality and parasite for burst dps invader killing and getting kills while invader and I can wipe entire teams in a single shot I have 2 times now and clipped em
And to think, this is completely standard gameplay for some people that frequently play gambit at the higher levels that Cammy discusses. Incredibly entertaining stuff and very fun when you get more involved in it
I think that's a problem with Gambit though. You shouldn't be able to do that, it should be 100% random. Defeats the purpose of the game when at a high level it all comes down to who invades first and if you can kill their invader off spawn.
Cool to see tryhard Gambit gameplay! Like most I'm not a massive fan of the mode, but I still remember playing that initial beta with the curated weapon selection and thinking it was the funnest gametype I'd played in a while.
Gambit was alot of fun until players figured out how to make it as unfun as possible as quickly as possible, lol And that is why Bungie has (perhaps smartly) given up on "fixing" it.
@@bootstrap925 I disagree that it has potential, the idea is flawed A PvEvP mode works the best when there is a good amount of both, gambit is PvE with a little bit of PvP The best PvEvP mode in a looter shooter I've seen is divison 1s dark zone and survival mode
I remember watching the gambit runs on stream…they were very nice, and certainly shed some light into what otherwise is an underground playerbase of the game.
Great video. 88 Gambit resets here. Recently I've been doing this to level stuff up, mainly as the invader. I landed an Albruna with harmony & elemental capacitor & it's easy street. Your build was better than mine so I'm adjusting.
90 resets here very similar! I have Elemental Opening Shot, Explosive Payload Firing Line, it's an absolutely disgusting sniper rifle and Bungie knew exactly what they were doing putting it into gambit lol.
While i dont have the same reset count (a sad 2), i can say im confident in gambit, even as invader (all the time) i always take crate. Hear me out, you can get a lot more heavy amm, aka free kills
The amount of Gambit games i've played over the years made me remeber every single spawn cycle in every single map and enemy type on that maps, also invader spawn locations.
The heavy crate spawns completely KILL the flow of every match. Half the match people are where they should NOT be because of the heavy crate spawns. It boggles my mind how this new system was implemented. I do the same as you and ignore the crate spawns. That way I can play quick and i am always where i should be according to the situation
agreed. they should do away with the heavy crates and make yellow bars drop heavy at .25x the normal rate with finders/scavs disabled. Make people choose between using them to clear waves, nuke blockers, kill invaders, or dps on boss. As is you can basically treat your heavy as a primary.
I've had my One-Two Verdict on hand for blockbuster duty ever since I got it to drop. Good to see I made a solid choice for my Titan. Edit: ...and my Transfiguration scout as well. I just need to try harder to match this.
Occluded finality is crazy good for gambit if you don't want to blow all your ammo on Izanagi's. The high zoom that many don't like in crucible is amazing in gambit with the much farther engagement distances and it's stickiness is nuts.
Please do more gambit Content occasionally, ik its a meme to hate on it but I find it's enjoyable enough and I personally find most of the gambit weapons cool asf. Maybe a gambit sniper/origin trait review soon 👀
Bro you did such a good job of explaining what you were doing that Uncle sealing a roof with my phone in my pocket listening to you UA-cam obviously and I was able to follow you perfectly in my head and see what you were doing ..great job
I don't play as much of it now but back when Gambit Prime was out it was one of my favorite modes in the game. It has always been my favorite place to try out add clear type builds because its really the only place where killing a bunch of decently beefy PvE adds quickly actually matters. I will always miss running triple shotties with python in Gambit Prime.
I exclusively run Nova bomb, with Deathbringer and a subsistence/reservoir burst Glacioclasm and nothing is more satisfying then teamwiping a whole minute after you leave the invade
Since this is a vid partially about levelling crafted weapons, I'll leave this little bit of info here: So I'm sure you all know about the Override glitch where you can sparrow out of the zone & back to open the chest multiple times right ? Well did you know that you actually get crafting progress for opening the chest ? Yup, roughly about 30% per time. Set up a loadout with 3 crafted weapons equipped then just before the boss dies in the event (for speed) switch over to that loadout & open the chests. You'll get basically an entire level on all three guns each time you do it, if you can get three opens & since you can just keep loading into the Override till you get one in progress, this is a great way to level guns.
It's difficult to think of anyone more creative and holistic in Destiny than you, Cammy. Honestly, it's a breath of fresh air. Thanks for doing what you do.
Any chance we can see a High Tier match for the other gambit maps? This really opened my eyes, and I'd love to see a couple more videos between your great PVP videos!
I know its insane to hear this, but recently I have been having fun on gambit by using strongholds with crownsplitter. The confusion that the enemy invader has when they use their entire heavy on me and I still have 70% shields is always gold
Hopefully you dont get too cocky. Many of the aggresive, hardened sword users make many mistakes by putting their guard up too early into line of sight and underestimating my dps, causing them to die despite having energy to defend; Did not close the gap before getting into line of sight, even with eager edge, causing me to gun them down easily with 3-burst linear or forerunner; Thinking I would entertain them using their swords. If I cant kill them reasonably, I just ignore them completely. I dont know how many times I see on the edge of my vision they were frantically chasing me with their sword when I'm already far away or in the air, or try their best to gun me down with primary.
90 resets here, Gambit Prime was the best it's ever been. My loadout never changes, Deliverance with Demo Chill Clip, Timelines with Field Prep Demo and Lament. My role to to never invade unless I have to but just smash everything with fusions and grenades, get my charge with light x4 and never stop. I barely stop to look for invaders; if I clear the room fast enough at least a fresh ad spawn can be accessed by my distracted blueberry teammates if they can't keep up. I'm sure there are plenty of damage strats that are viable. For sheer consistency the lament has it all, great ammo economy, excellent burst damage and ease of use. It's also pretty handy killing invaders up close if you start swinging and revving your character moves all over the place and you're hard to hit. Typically I'll run taking charge, supercharged, lucent blade, quick charge and heavy handed. heavy handed isn't essential but you get free ammo generated from thin air half the time on fusions and shotguns, so underrated! I typically play all three characters and mostly use T Crash, Slowvabomb and Gathering Storm/Blade Barrage, or just void builds on all three just to make use of devour so you can fight your way out of any danger! Pair it with an Epicuran with Surplus Repulsor Brace and you are cooking. I would love to have Cammy as a teammate filling in all the deficiencies in my gambit game for me! I never queue solo, as its way more fun just to beat up teams with randoms! Plus probably more elo just for bragging rights lol. Think I was top 30 in the world at one point, not too difficult when not many give a damm! 😂 Also if you're running lament I suggest your chest mods are concussive dampener and melee resistance, boss can't really kill you if you're well specced elsewhere
Man These brought me back when I loved Gambit, I literally became Reckoner solo and when they added the rolls I was hoping it was going to bring it to more of an organize state but no bongo screw it hard and rolls where a great idea because those are natural rolls, the implementation was what kill it
Tbf, Cammy has been playing high level Gambit for years with various gambit clans. Gambit just does not sell or isn't popular enough for him to keep putting out videos for it. It's a shame, he's always been an amazing Gambit Player. Him, Separer, and CoolCheese... miss you CoolCheese :^(

I wish gambit got more interesting game-modes and a competitive scene. I think something like 24/7 active zones, invader portal 24/7, 3 primevals, all enemies have 1 health, no heavy ammo, and no primevals would’ve all been better gamemodes that the ones that we got in Season of the Risen.
I'm bad at invading but I essentially always dunk about 60 motes and do about 60% boss damage in every game, hunter, arc, liars handshake, eager edge, and 1 2 shotgun also arbalest is really good to kill invaders and 2 shot envoys from far
For my levels I usually speed run the Empire Hunt missions (where you get Cloudstrike) can usually finish them in 5 minutes and get nearly 30% per clear.
I’ve never seen high tier gambit plays. Haven’t played it since beyond light, to me it was always a good idea at an activity but the execution to keep it interesting never got to me.
ive just had a 12 min game where both teams were dpsing w primary, no super no nade no melee no buff no debuff no money no friends no iq; i invaded and popcorn emoted, they didnt even care and when i went back my team was dead from just melee enemies; dear lord your team that game was GODLY compared to what i normally get
Cam, since since there will be harmonic options for all weapon mods come lightfall, maybe you should do a video going over good pairings between weapons and subclasses to conserve armor mod energy
Gambit is really interesting at the high level. I hasn't peeked my interest but for a friend of mine it did. You might have seen him, he goes by Mingxies ( Yuno Gasai in game, Plays Anti). All of my very limited insight comes from him but it has granted me a respect for the complexities of gambit.
He clearly pointed out the problem. Make enemy spawns random. It will help even in nightfalls. Imagine if champions spawned at random places rather than at the same place every time
I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one that noticed. Also make the invader spawn random. The way he knew where the invader was gonna be kinda kills the role of an invader (as much as I hate invasions) There’s many flaws with Gambit that honestly just isn’t worth the effort fixing. Bungie knows this which is why they don’t bother
I love gambit. Most competitive game mode destiny has. Thanks for the vid. What do you think about a trials of the drifter weekend event in place of trials once or twice a season?
Pointed inquiry carries me through gambit whenever I farm it, genesis focused fury with I think 98 range Call me lame but I run malfeasance so I never have to worry about ammo for blockers I kinda like shadebinder for gambit because the turrets add damage for my team
x7 Gambit guild player, this is just magical to see. Take notes blueberries, you don't need to be this level of good but just "read the room" and watch what your team is doing and play the part that is missing.
I love this. I definitely loved Gambit during the Forsaken days but without an incentive like Breakneck or 21% Delirium I can’t bring myself to play it anymore. I just want Gambit to get some love.
The fact that we haven’t gotten a Trials like game mode for gambit is a shame. In light of this, I came up with a 3 step plan to rectify this problem. Step 1) make at least 2 more modes I’ve come up with a Cabal themed invader kill focused mode called ‘Invaders Proving’, a vex network themed king of the hill mode called ‘Kell of Splicers’ and a treasure haul themed boss rush mode called either ‘Plunder Rush’ or ‘Treasure Rush’, whichever works best. Step 2) form the Gambit Shadows A Trials like mode where you do best of three round with each round being a different game mode with the active modes changing weekly. There would be a higher ranking of enemies as well along with Hive guardians, Tormentors and anything else of their power. 3) give the loot There would be two sets of loot. Enhanced gambit weapons that would drop with an origin perk that would allow them to equip adept mods. Along with that you would be able to acquire tokens from each map that would allow you to focus adepts from other sources so long as you acquired said adepts from their original source. Shaders and mementos from this mode would be enemy faction themed. With a few fixes in the gambit Mode we have right now. Gambit shadows wouldn’t just become the Gambit endgame. It would become the final Destiny endgame.
Wish ender will get you a lot of kills as well. It'll 2 shot red bar shriekers, 3 shot yellow shriekers, 1 shot red bar knights and orange bar Scorn. Try it out! Highest kill count for me was 75.
Because it is my literal last chance i have been farming patterns for austringer and ikelos HC but I rolled AUSSIE with EotS and Range/Open Shot. It even has ricochet roubd and extended range barrel.

More gambit runs man 🔥🔥👍
So who else didn't know there was a portal in that drill hole? Wtf
x7 Gambit guild player, this is just magical to see. Take notes blueberries, you don't need to be this level of good but just "read the room" and watch what your team is doing and play the part that is missing.
I wish gambit itself was worth investing this level of commitment and skill. I miss OG gambit.
I love this. I definitely loved Gambit during the Forsaken days but without an incentive like Breakneck or 21% Delirium I can’t bring myself to play it anymore. I just want Gambit to get some love.
I loved being a Reaper in gambit Prime, I wish they would bring prime back it was the best.
The fact that we haven’t gotten a Trials like game mode for gambit is a shame. In light of this, I came up with a 3 step plan to rectify this problem.
Step 1) make at least 2 more modes
I’ve come up with a Cabal themed invader kill focused mode called ‘Invaders Proving’, a vex network themed king of the hill mode called ‘Kell of Splicers’ and a treasure haul themed boss rush mode called either ‘Plunder Rush’ or ‘Treasure Rush’, whichever works best.
Step 2) form the Gambit Shadows
A Trials like mode where you do best of three round with each round being a different game mode with the active modes changing weekly. There would be a higher ranking of enemies as well along with Hive guardians, Tormentors and anything else of their power.
3) give the loot
There would be two sets of loot.
4:24 anyone know what the Cabal emblme is called and if it's still available?
Drifter wouldn't want you to see this but man would he find it hilarious.
Before they nerfed glaive block I just used that with karnstein armlets and a scout. Absalutely shreds.
Wish ender will get you a lot of kills as well. It'll 2 shot red bar shriekers, 3 shot yellow shriekers, 1 shot red bar knights and orange bar Scorn. Try it out! Highest kill count for me was 75.
wish ender when it was busted was insane in gambit Prime, primeval would be almost dead on 1st phase it was so funny.
@@FPL_Frost now it's like walking around with infinite heavy ammo. You'd be amazed how much damage it does now.
Cammy gambit arc
Because it is my literal last chance i have been farming patterns for austringer and ikelos HC but I rolled AUSSIE with EotS and Range/Open Shot. It even has ricochet roubd and extended range barrel.
the biggest thing i learned here is that theres a portal under the drill that takes you to steppes. god....damnit
Turns out Gambit was the mode with the most depth
I unironically love gambit.
I’ve run into you so many times!! always cracked with those izis shots
