You should know, Genting Skyworld Theme Park supposedly be the first 20th Century FOX World theme Park prior to Disney acquisition in 2017, hence all those rides depicted FOX animations and production, and not DISNEY, however during the construction FOX has cancelled the agreement with Genting and has to pay the penalty. Genting won the case by having permission to complete the construction which has started in 2013 and using all those themes without naming it as 20th Century FOX World Theme Park. The park was opened in 2023, 10 years after it was started delaying by the court case and pandemic.
Since FOX was recently bought by Disney, when the construction for Genting FOX theme park is still ongoing, Disney doesn’t want their name to be associated with casino business, which Genting is…. The reason they had to cancel the project altogether
The theme park would have had better attraction point if the name is fox or smth theme park coz ppl wouldn't know wat to expect for a hefty rm200 ticket
@@l_ifeefi_l1998 It Genting Skyworld Themepark. You cannot associate with Fox or Disney as you like, lol. FOX has been taken over by FOX since 2017 and Disney hasn't to planned to open another Disney World in Asia after Japan and Hong Kong, even Dubai wanted it.
Genting Resort owner Lim Goh Tong already deceased is a Malaysian tycoon who owns Resorts World Sentosa Singapore, Resorts World Las Vegas and many more but his maiden project was Resorts World Genting which was built in 1965
From seeing your content on KL, I definitely agree it seems like a place where westerners can settle down and enjoy a nice mix of the modern and traditional asian life with the comforts of quality living and accessibility.

I guess I took for granted the precious 4+ years I spent there, but must say it was luxury at the highest point safe and clean at the sane tone, I often took the bus to Singapore for a change of atmosphere.

The promoter probably thought Zane was a Muslim, by his look. He's not from Mainland China, but a Malaysian. In general. Mainlanders would speak Mandarin, not English.
There's a much cheaper way to get to Genting Highlands. Take the LRT/MRT to KL Sentral. From KL Sentral, take the Resorts World bus that costs RM20. The ticket price includes the SkyWay (gondola) ride, which is just RM10 if you buy it separately. You can get the tickets online, in fact. I would say a round/return trip would cost you no more than RM70-80 (including the LRT/MRT fare). Paying RM215 is steep, but it's ok if you're willing to pay the premium on the convenience. Otherwise, I'd save the RM130+ and splurge it in Genting itself 😄

Genting used to be awesome when we could go outside and enjoy the cool breeze, walk around the theme park (even if you are not paying to get into the park). Nowadays you can only get into the mall....I miss the old Genting highlands....
You've finally made your way to the entertainment centre in the clouds in Malaysia, Genting Highlands Resorts. You need to spend at least a night or 2 to cover what it has to offer. There's also the midhills entertainment area called Gohtong Jaya and the Premium Outlet. There's just so much to do. Enjoy!😂
The late lim goh tong (who came from china) was legendary. He built genting in 1965 onwards. Slowly he added features and attractions. His son lim kok thay took over after he passed away. Very rich family.

I love your content, even I been Genting many times i still like watching video about Genting look like outside of other world.
Genting Premium Outlets is a joint venture between Genting and Simon Properties from the US which develops premium outlets across the world, that's why it looks similar to the ones in the US.
When I was in Malaysia fir my Honeymoon, and before that I visited Genting from KL, I love theme parks as I grew up in California and visited Disney land , magic mountain and Raging waters, I love it, and I believe you should have given them public a tour of the theme park in Malaysia otherwise some other blogger definitely will.
Anyway great job overall.

There are buses services daily from KL Sentral to Awana Sky station ( Genting ) which is MYR10 for one way. Tickets are available via apps or over the counter.

The top of genting which is the main attraction, now, is just indoors( massive shopping complex;& the pricy fees theme park) and not a place for outdoor with natural environment. In the 70s till early 2000 , there's a big lake for boat rowing and seats for relax , for public. I would not go all the way for the MALL ,! 😢

I took bus from KL Sentral to Genting highlands. So the return ticket cost me only 20RM. Two way Gondola ride is for only 18RM. Total of 48RM. Booking a tour is lot expensive.

I hope KL will be developed perfect as genting in the future I mean in terms of the road, the signs building everything is unique, you look left, right, up and down you feel luxury I feel like I'm in a developed and rich country when i am at Genting, even though Kl there are many tall buildings still not perfect still have flaws

There is resort world Genting, owned by Genting group, actually they also have business in US, Resorts World Las Vegas, New York, Catskills, Bimini and etc.
Honestly, nothing much to do in genting nowadays, its all shopping malls, and some tour attraction thats not worth the money. Food is more expensive than in kl. Back then they still have theme park. Not sure wat happened now. Ppl go there either for the cold weather or casino...
