It bothered me how they never questioned how the bus drivers got away or who they were until the very end.
I watched the show all of it already and I'm crazy over it. I love it
I'm heartbroken they cancelled this show with such a cliffhanger. It's so disappointing to watch this knowing season 2 will not happen.
I think the main question is how the kids are gonna survive and live together, if they actually will be able to. The sequence of events of what the kids are doing is really interesting.
Anyone else come back and watch this mad as heck that there was never a season 2 and your still wondering who, what, where, when, and why? And mad that Netflix won’t at least release just a little bit of the rest of the story? No just me? Alright 😁👍🏻😂
me too luv me too, it's so annoying but so sad as well cause now we'll never (hopefully not never) know :( they've written so much of the script and were just abt to film, i wanna know so bad what ideas they had for s2 and also i was so excited to see grizz, sam, elle, kelly, becca and her baby, and so many others :(((((
yess im just finished rewatching season 1 and this ending makes me soo mad
can’t wait for this show to blow up. the cast, crew, and creator deserves it. by far, the best show on Netflix for the summer so far. binge if you haven’t seen it, and binge again if you have. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i watched the movie because people said it was nice. not gonna lie the series was boring. i had to skip alot. there were no answers at all. it just felt like they were stretching the storyline. sorry i never felt so disappointed watching a series in my life. this was the worst.ghhj0

Accents?
I'm thinking two things.
1. There is indeed a parellel universe and the children somehow travelled there. For them, the parents are somewhere else but to the parents, their kids are dead.
2. The kids actually are dead and they are in some sort of limbo. Maybe the bus driver was so upset about Sam and Campbell's father and uncle refusing to pay him that to spite them, he led all the kids to their death. There is a scene where they are all asleep on the buses at night. You'd think at least one would be awake but the fact that they were all asleep had to be some kind of symbolism. It's like it was alluding to the fact that they all died in a crash. Guess it makes sense why the driver said that the roads were blocked off. Possibly blocked off by police investigating the matter? Also, the eclipse wasn't supposed to be there but the fact it did is strange. When the eclipse... 'eclipsed', its almost like the gateway back to life closed and now they are stuck here forever. But here is one thing that is really messing with me. That damn dog, how is he in both universes? He was there when Cassandra died and he seemed to be killed by Campbell. But then he was there in the 'real' universe... How?

I think maybe Campbell was telling the truth for once. So far he’s only been a torturer rather than a killer, so either he did nothing, or he tortured the dog and it got away back to West Ham. The dog is super interesting. I think he’s found the gateways that lead back to West Ham. He seems to just pop up out of the woods, bushes, etc.

Zeineb ♥ I personally think that they just need to find the way that the dog had been able to cross back and forth. Or maybe the dog is the only one that can. So the kids might possibly use the dog to communicate with West Ham.

I started binge watching this two days ago and I finally watched the ending..I was literally screaming no!! because I was wanting to watch even more episodes..I took from the ending that the parents are still alive and are still in modern day West Ham believing that their children are either dead or missing..I cannot wait for season 2 to watch the rest of this crazy and addicting series and to find out more details as to what really caused this to happen..
I dont think that the parents think their dead or missing. they prob know something.. And the memorial thingy is just for show

@@fahadusman1311 yo u know any shows that have this similar type of feel to them, the sense of great pacing and just grab your attention from the start.
I used to think that they are in some kind of experiment. That they have been just moved to another town that looks exactly like theirs but.. there's one problem. One thing bugs me that makes me think otherwise. When Kelly and Harry found the condoms and found out that their parents are having an affair. How would they put all those details? It would actually take them years to actually make another town that's exactly like theirs especially with all the little details 😕 it would be hard. I'm kinda believing that they are actually in another universe or the plot is completely different than we all think.
I think they got kidnapped and maybe put in cryochambers until 2025 or whenever the eclipse was supposed to be. That explains why the dog was alive at the end and the town was overgrown but I can’t explain how there is no people

i think the woman at the end is cassandra. which would support the parallel universe theory. so when campbell killed the dog and dewey killed cassandra they both traveled back to the old town.
Why is Cassandra's name still on the memorial in the same scene?

Ana Zhuk I think that the thing with Campbell is that he’s a torturer, but not a killer (so far). He could’ve actually been telling the truth for once or maybe he tortured the dog and it got away back to real West Ham.
There was no blood, he was just washing his hands and it felt suspicious but we didn't see blood
i have a feeling the dog did die in that universe and so respawned back into the original universe(earth). Maybe when people die in New Ham they show up somewhere in West Ham, maybe with no recollection of anything or are in the forest somewhere. idk tbh lol

@ianR that dog is absolutely important to the plot. He seems to be everywhere that important shit happens. When Cassandra dies, when elle finds him, and at the end. How do they explain the fact that this universe they're in has no other pets!!!! No rats no bunnies no cats and one single dog

When my school would go on trips upstate about halfway through the trip I would look around the bus and see a lot of people sleeping. It wouldnt be an exaggeration to say 80 to 90 plus percent of people were sleeping. We had two buses. I dont know what the other one looked like but I could imagine it being the same. Although in this case they had about five busses and for everyone to be sleeping is strange and should be looked into.
It was like midnight when they got back.

I’m so confused about the end
I think that they didn't really go to another universe/multiverse, I think that they are in some kind of simulation. The bus driver drove away with them and when they where kinda far away from the real town, the driver gave them a sort of sleeping gas. He drove to some kind of unknown place and put them all (with help from the other busdrivers) in some kind of capsules. When they wake up they are in the fake town. (that's why the busdrivers could disappear so easily when they drove away) because it is a simulation the recent changes made in the real town do not appear in the fake town (see the graffiti) because it can't be re-coded perfectly in just one day/those couple of hours. That could also explain why the dog is still Alive in the other world, and the sudden solar eclipse.

I think it's like a parallel universe because of the solar eclipse think. Like it's the same but just a couple things different. Like I bet there's gonna be creatures or things show up next season
I think it’s a parallel universe. They would have had to spend a ton of time building the simulation for that to work. All the town hall records, the lipstick in Kelly’s dad’s jacket? But anything’s possible at this point

You guys remember when they were doing the act, they got a world record for most Heads on a coin. In later episodes it kept landing on tales but the last one it was heads. I just think they're in a parallel universe but small details have changed.
Netflix did this show so dirty, granting them a S2, then takinb it away and blaming rona. They deserved that S2. They deserve to finish the story.
I think, is it like the one in Hunger Games, like a man-made world in a dome-like place while a group of people can see them and control what would happen or something like that? Or the one from The Cube 3? Where it's like a different dimension of sort while they're being watched over.

It doesn’t seem like a dome, because of all the balloons and drones Gordie sent up. And it’s so exact to be man made, because of all the city records, the condoms in Harry’s mom’s cabinet, etc. idk I think if anyone is able to watch them it’s possibly pfieffer and the other bus drivers. I personally think the key will be the dog. Like maybe the dog can go to both universes or has found the exit. They will likely see something that proves the dog has been to the other world

I think the way out of the “ parallel universe” as it may be seen like has something to do with the dog, because he is somehow linked to the two worlds at the same time. We think Campbell killed him when he disappears from Elle’s and Campbell’s house but it’s a way of hiding that in fact he just goes from a world to another one, And so the dog might be the key ?! Dying to know what happens next ...

Before I saw the “We Remember Them” board at the end of Episode, I thought the little kids in the library were the teens. I thought they had somehow traveled back in time and turned into little kids idk just a theory🙃can’t wait for Season 2 tho!!

I thought The ending was the future after all the high schoolers and the world adapted and the list was a way to remember the creators (if that makes sense) but I realized it won’t make sense for the dog to live that long through it all so I definitely think it’s another place it not there home, maybe a parallel universe but it’s not the same place they left.
My theory-
There was the signboard at the starting episode "New Ham" or something which got sprayed with a S, that is "new Sham". So this story is about some mystical happening. The mystical happening was pulled off by the "bus drivers", who casts some sort of spell, where all the kids are living their new life in the same location but in the past. It's like the whole town has been shifted into the past. So, the ending replies to one of our questions "Where are they?" In the past as the ancestors of their own parents.
The loophole here are-
why is the same dog that was kil@led by Cambell was alive after centuries?
Also another theory is that-
It might be a foreshadowing when that lady dictated the Peter Pan story about how (if season 2 or 3 existed) they all even though were stuck in the past would have found a way back and everything would be at square one as if whatever happened was a distant dream.
What I love about the show-

You know with that dog showing up in "the real world" after us thinking he died? Maybe when they die they go back to the real world? So Cassandra and dewey had returned home?

I think they died but none of them realizes it. Cause all their names were written.. They have no memory of dying.. The bus driver has something to do with this..But the big mystery is the dog.. Oh and I think the smell was coming from the corpses.. But who knows! Im excited for S2..

So I just finished society like 2 minutes ago and the ending has me all the way fucked up

I've got a theory... So when they went on the bus and came back off, they must've went in a parralel universe, and at the end (Spoiler Alert) when alli's and cassandra's mom started reading to those kids, and those kids must be all of the teens siblings because think about it the teens aren't there except for the parents and the kids and since all the teens that went on the buse's are in a parralel universe, oh and also the dog seems to be in both universes because we dont see any other pets in the show so maybe the dog can see both.
Just finished season 1 and I guess this is a spinoff of a French where all the kids who died at the same time were immediately transferred to an empty replica of their city that is ofc limited with borders, there is a lot of stuff that goes on from there and I think the show could've exploited them very well if it was continued.

Im pretty sure that in that 'parallel universe' once you die you come back to the normal world, idk why would that be the way to come back tho. But we see that the dog was supposedly dead and then he appears in the normal world. Now the question would be: Why is Cassandra in the list then? I have a theory !! The characters who died in the series went back to the real world !! because do u remember when Campbell's hands were bloody? For sure he killed the dog ... But at the end of the season we can see the dog exists in the real world so that confirms this theory !! OK. The dog exists in both 'dimensions', but the kids are missing in the 'real world', and found in the 'new world'. So.. it is safe to assume that they are actually in the real world somewhere hidden from their families, but they experience the 'new world' in their minds. Something like a realistic clone of the real physical world run by the collective consciousness of all the kids there, connected to a simulation machine. Crazy I know. They were sleeping in the bus, they woke up in the new world...
