I swear by KMC chains, I had a KMC gold XL chain on my bike last year and I got well over the recommended miles, something like 4500miles and the chain wear was only .5 on a 10speed that is pretty damn good. Great video as always 👍🏻
Please dont change lines in front of obstacles last second, like before the cone. For you it is fine, but for the riders behind you their vision gets covered by your body and their may run into it. For example the cavendish crash some years ago.
@@NorCalCycling I understand and it is no criticism, just a hint to make it safer. People have run into cones or parked cars which they saw many laps before all the time ;-)
I feel like would be really interesting to see how you race other courses that you may not be as familiar with. Its obvious you're super comfortable here and have seen it so many times haha. Do you race other courses or is it this course only?
How closed/restricted are the roads during these events? Especially that stretch of busy roadway on the back stretch, turn 4 I guess, that looks hairy if there's traffic.

I can maintain 20mph on flat ground street with my 29er mountain bike for about 30-45 minutes. I really want to get a road bike though to see how fast I can actually go. Thinking about a Domane SL6 or wait a couple years and break the bank for a Mandone SLR9

yeah that was very dangerous for riders behind him , they are racing for fun but also risking their own health for nothing

Soo yeah, just stay sheltered, take good lines, and then put out 1000+ watts for ~20 seconds and get the win. Easy.
