    Thank you Rex, really appreciate the open advice. I'm taking my MCAT in a month and your channel has been amazing. Just a quick question, do you have any strategies for tackling physics/chemistry passages? Those are my weak points so far.

    • @DoctorRex
      @DoctorRex  3 роки тому +5

      I personally didn't use a ton of strategy for physics/chemistry. My best advice would be to get as much exposure to practice questions in a test setting as you can. Good luck!

    Thanks for the video. I have been “studying” since January, and my test is in May. However, I haven’t been studying as seriously as I should’ve been, due to my undergrad classes, my job, and research. I know I will be able to effectively study once the semester ends. Should I cancel my MCAT and take it at a later date? And if so, should I also not apply this cycle since I won’t be able to get my application in as early as I’d hoped?

    • @DoctorRex
      @DoctorRex  3 роки тому +1

      I think it would be very reasonable to cancel a May MCAT and push it back to June sometime if you decide for sure you want to apply this cycle. However, in that case, I'd recommend submitting your primary before you get your score back.
      Here is my typical youtuber recommending their own videos recommendation that hopefully helps and address something near your situation:

    I’m taking my MCAT on June 19th, I’ve been doing content review since January 11th because I was initially planning on doing it in early May but I didn’t get a spot. I’m planning on doing question banks and full length exams from April to June and fill in the gabs in content, would you say that’s a good plan?

    • @shakeraljouuda7965

      Also I took Kaplan’s first diagnostic test and i scored very very bad and I’m kinda worried that I won’t be able to achieve a 515+

    • @DoctorRex
      @DoctorRex  3 роки тому +1

      Sounds like a good plan to me. A first test is a first test. It's totally normal to have a really rough first test, but it seems like you took those results and made a solid plan based on it which is the best you can do. Good luck!

    Excellent video, Dr. Rex. Just ordered my Kaplan books + the standalone one (Kaplan 528 or whatever it's called). How quickly would you recommend one go through each book if there were around 4 months to study? I will probably skip the psych/soc book for the OCD doc and other resources lol. I had a 3.97gpa in undergrad, but it's been more than a year for some of the courses. Also, I have not taken biochem. The school I really want to get into (near me and my family) only recommends taking biochem. I did very well in o-chem I &II, so I'm hoping I can muddle on through biochem myself.

      Best of luck in your studying! Congrats on your awesome GPA! I would try to get through them in around a month, I think the sooner you can get to the specific content review/practice stage in your studying, the better.

    You mentioned that you would’ve studied the MCAT bros notes on psychology/sociology over anything else. Is that just the Final PDF they have in Dropbox? I’m seeing multiple documents. Thanks for the super helpful video!
