    Thank you for this video. Always thought it would be a hassle to do it myself but it doesn't look too daunting after watching this. There's a couple vids of the fender delete out there on youtube, but this is probably the best one. Btw that is a square a$$ tire 😆& love your outro ahah.

      Thanks for watching. It really isn't a bad job and yeah I noticed my tire lol. Strange thing is I'm always being careful not to scrape pegs on this because they stopped making these expensive ass pegs so I can't replace them but I'm scraping exhaust on my springfield like it is a smaller bike. That's a bit backwards 😁

    it would be cool if someone could design a way to quick change this the fender delete looks awesome but to be able to pop the fender and a rack back on for weekend trips would be the best of both worlds

      Yep. That is why I waited until I got a bagger to do this. Now I have the best of both.

    That is the nicest fender delete I have seen on a Scout Bobber thus far and I love the position of the license plate.

      I’m about to purchase a scout bobber but insurance quotes are outrageously high. Do have any suggestions and rough pricing? This will be my first bike. I got my M1 over 15 years ago but never got a bike.

      @@sethu.uumez-eronini7339 Hard to say as everyone's insurance situation is a little different. Depends on age, location, driving history. so many variables. I'd say just shop around as much as you can.

    Thank you very much for this feed. I had been wanting to do the same project but apprehensive due to lack of clear procedure. Looks like 240 rear is set up for your next project. 🙂

      Might be time for a wheel setup for sure! I hope this gives you the info you need to tackle it on your own. Let me know if you get into it and have some questions.

      @allentraylor5659 Type in big bore kit traveling tall. They are carbon fiber rims very expensive but they take off 15 lbs on rotating mass vs stock Rims. Im a power to weight guy.

    Ever get caught in the rain? I kinda feel I need some fender due to rooster tail in the rain.

    • @MessyGarageBMW
      @MessyGarageBMW  5 місяців тому

      Even in rain a stock bobber was horrible with rooster tail. Haven't gotten caught on rain with it since I took the fender off.

    Can you mount those tail lights with the tail tidy on the rear fender??

    • @MessyGarageBMW
      @MessyGarageBMW  2 місяці тому

      I'm not sure. The plate and light mount I used from combustion industries is made specifically for this seat and bracket.

    Scoping the bobber, but seeing this dude’s been to the Master’s! ⛳️
    My used bobber came with the sissy bar. I’m completely new to this. Got any suggestions for toolkits to get most simple jobs done (oil, change battery, removing passenger seat, etc)? And can front forks be adjusted or is that unnecessary? Haven’t seen anyone doing that. Thank you!

    • @MessyGarageBMW
      @MessyGarageBMW  6 місяців тому

      Yes. Augusta National is gorgeous!
      So, for tools, I try to include a good list in all of my video descriotions but I would suggest a good metric socket set and a set of metrics Allen keys or Allen sockets. Beyond that, a torque wrench is a great tool to have as well. I'm releasing the oil change video today so you can check that out for tools and procedure. These are great bikes and I have a bunch of content on the channel for them. Haven't adjusted forks but I know others have put different springs in. I have not done that yet.

      @@MessyGarageBMW Love my new (used 6500 miles) 2021 Scout Bobber Twenty. Since I have no experience with actual new Scouts, how can I tell if it’s smooth or rough, tight or loose… as in, is there anything wrong with it? Do you recommend I take to a certified Indian shop for a full inspection, as I just bought from a small bike dealer here? I got a two-year warranty for major parts and want to be sure I wasn’t sold a patched up bike. I had no reason to believe a 6500 mile bike would be in some way unmaintained or damaged… THANK YOU.

      @majrminer before I paid someone to tell me if it felt right I would go test ride a new one and see how it compared to mine. If it feels pretty similar, I'd feel better my bike is solid. If there are specific things you question then it may be worth taking to a trusted mechanic but otherwise I'd just enjoy the ride.
