Wow, what a blast from the past! Suikoden IV was such a classic game. The final boss battle was intense, but I have to agree, the name could have been more creative. Still, nostalgia hits hard watching this. Thanks for sharing this epic moment, vilkalizer!
This game had a great story and time lapse change over, just wished they made the main character's style less kiddish with the shorts and boots, the shirt vest and bandana made the outcast look awesome, the shorts and blades visual needed a redo, I fell in love with this suikoden cause of the dual wielding blades. Why I love fantasy, every RPG should give you a option to dual-wield, single hand, or Two-Handed, but not overwhelming blades like Monster hunter, like the Japanese samurai two handed weapons.
No, you most certainly do not need level 86 to defeat the boss. This is going at it with shitty equipment and holding back to show off what it can do. It's convenient for champion's rune skipping past all the obnoxious encounters in the final dungeon, though.
Say what you will about suikoden 4, I still think this game got the best final boss music ever.

I will say, the music is excellent. Very fitting for a final boss. The game was quite easy for the most part though.

Maybe Lazlo is still alive and Will be united to other 26 true Rune bearers.
