@@poerava Felix _fixed it!_ I wanted to share with my music teacher today, Lisa Witt of Pianote.com , I joined last December. She wrote a comment about having finely honed her teaching skills after one of us students gave her a compliment. She doesn't just teach piano, she's the best at it because of her scrutinizing every available teaching method and going with what works best. But I didn't want to bother her so I'll share with you.
For decades there are a few songs I've wanted to play masterfully, the top two are Tiny Dancer and the Piano Coda for Layla, the latter is 120 or so measures, lots of repeats, but because of Lisa I've got it nearly 100% underhand - in the pocket. She's not just the world's greatest teacher of anything, she teaches what she teaches better I've found anyone teaches anything, but she's teaching me how to be a virtuoso. One of the only parts in the last 8 years, 3 measures I couldn't get underhand, I'm sight reading it now and getting an adherence fitting the whole mood of the song, like how a song rises and falls when played right. Those 3 measures are/were really important. It's the most amazing feeling in life to do something more than adequately one never dreamed they could ever do.

      @TrustInJesus111
      Wow. I’m impressed.
You’ve put so much thought, time, effort and emotion into your craft.
Are you enjoying the joy of the journey, in learning the piece, not just the final destination of mastering it?
Thrrein lies the real mastery of a process or craft. Finding as much joy as the end goal (playing a piece perfectly infront of a crowd perhaps) in all stages of the journey.
Allow yourself to tap into this high and let the music, the serendipity of life, the intentional and the accidentals, the mistakes and the successes, frame a symphony of your own life, that is perfect in its imperfection and you will have attained a transcendence that will bless your life and the lives of many many others.

I am sure that Kent Nishimura's original arrangement of this big hit song by the Carpenters for fingersyle guitar must be one of the greatest cover songs. I can't believe that he is 15-years-old. We may have to call him as a young fingerstyle guitar phenomenon in Japan.

Kent has released his solo finger style guitar album since 2015 at his age 12. He is the grand champion on National Fingerstyle Guitar contest in Japan in 2017. Believe or not, Kent has already been highly acclaimed by the following pro's pro musicians. Needless to say, Michael Manning is a world-class bass player who was playing with the late great Michael Hedges at his concerts and recordings.
      Tommy Emmanuel
KENT is by far the best musician I have heard for many years.. please tell Kent I listened to him play and felt the joy HE feels when he plays his guitar...it is obvious that he loves to play.... and he plays with great feeling and SKILL! Hooray for Kent.. I am a fan now!!
      Andy McKee
Kent sounds like a great young player! I think he'll be one of the best and will carry the Fingerstyle guitar torch well into the future!
      Alex de Grassi
Kent is not only a technical prodigy, he is a natural musician with the expressive maturity of someone well beyond his years? very impressive!
      Peter Finger
I'm very impressed by Kent Nishimura's album. What a great player at the age of 12! I can't wait to hear more and I'm exited to watch his further development.
      Michael Manring
He really is an extraordinary talent and I think he has s bright future.
Especially, Tommy Emmanuel has had a high opinion of Kent. In fact, every time Tommy came to Japan for his concert tour, he has always invited Kent as a special guest since 2017. The following video on Kent's UA-cam channel shows his live performance at Tommy's concert in Osaka this year. Tommy will appear at the end of this video, too.
      ua-cam.com/video/CwH4myjkt4o/v-deo.html
When Tommy told Kent as "You already have everything a pro musician needs to have", he also advised as "You don't need to write your own original songs in a hurry now, Kent". And Kent has just taken the advice from Tommy.
In addition, Don Ross, one of the best guitarists (and musicians) in this planet, wrote his comment on this video as "Really great transcription of a really great song!". If you can check these comments on this video carefully, you can find this comment easily.
I like Luca Stricagnoli guitar playing very much, too. He is one of wonderful fingerstyle guitarists in Italy.
But, if we listen to Micahel Jackson's "Thriller" which both of Luca and Kent covered in two different ways,
to my opinion, I don't think that Luca's arrangement for the song is much better than Kent's. Because Kent did a very good job on it with one 6-string guitar and it makes us the same kind of a deep impression which the original song has given so many music fans in the whole world.
      "Thriller" covered by Luka Stricagnoli
      ua-cam.com/video/zJ_pDcjICtw/v-deo.html
      "Thriller" by Kent Nishimura
      ua-cam.com/video/_lUOo2X5IR8/v-deo.html
So, I don't mind how many people didn't choose "LIKE!" on this video. Because I know all of the people who chose "LIKE!" really enjoy Kent's guitar playing. Kent has mede us all very happy with his wonderful arrangement on this song and many other songs on his UA-cam channel below.
