I love watching reaction videos to Kent Nishimura because it makes me feel like I’m watching Kent again for the first time
More to come! Probably “Rocket Man”!
same here man
❤u have it you don’t……..thank you for sharing!,,,,,Peace💫
Here it is! After I first heard this cover I had it on everywhere all day on repeat. It never ever got old. Loved sharing your reactions.
Absolutely stellar!!
mind blowing
Holy crap 👍🙏❤️ this guy also does Chicago’s Does anybody really know what time it is. Including trombone fills at the end 😎👍
When he mixes in the lead guitar, the realization of the level of skill kicks up to another level and the face you make is so relatable and thats ultimately the moment that people want to share and why reaction videos exist. Fabulous moment.
he never ceases to amaze me. He plays everything.
The thing apart from the technical skill is how he´s able to seperate the different layers of the composition/voices. The control of the dynamics of each tone is totally mindblowing! And, as you said Jeff, it´s not l´Art pour l´Art to show off the techniques but he´s so relaxed and he´s grooving along... amazing.
I saw Chicago live in Melbourne back when they were hot and making waves. This version of their famous song is worth the time and great listening. Well done Kent.
That’s ridiculous! Too good! Just amazing
In addition to his technical and physical virtuosity, here's what also boggles my mind ... he had to listen to the original song, dissect it, figure out which alternate tuning to use (C-G-D-F-Bb-D), then re-compose the song. For the viewers who haven't tried to arrange a solo fingerstyle piece from scratch, it can get super complicated - especially if the song has a lot of movement and variability. There are a lot of professional big-time fingerstyle guitarists who wouldn't be able to pull this off.
Really recommend his rendition of another brick in the wall part 2
"Oh my gosh, that's inhuman.", pretty much sums up Nishimura doesn't it? Lol.
Yes! hahaha
It's technically amazing, and beautiful, and we can see he's enjoying every moment. Totally immersed. Nice reaction.
He really does enjoy playing. I love that! 🥰
There are no words. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen ❤
Check out his version of Thriller....it's ALMOST as jaw dropping as 25 or 6 to 4.
Guitarists that can play bass lines/rhythm/and lead lines all at once are just another breed man! I would highly recommend Mike Dawes "Jump" tribute to Van Halen. It's phenominal!
That is exactly what I thought. Mike Dawes is special!
Feng E also does this and plays mainly ukelele but also acoustic and electric guitar. It’s insane and he only gets better and better over time. Child prodigy. Insane.
Thanks, Jeff. Astounding!
Ive been watching this kid for years. His cover of Rocketman is good just like everything else he does but if you ask me for 3 covers other than this one that really have that extra "WOW" factor in them. It would be his versions of Easy Lover, Another Brick in the Wall and Careless Whisper.
I'm sure I'll be checking those gems out as well!
Thanks so much for not constantly stopping the video after a few bars and giving your opinion like so many other people do, which interrupts the flow of the song. You decided to leave your perspective and thoughts until the end - thank you for that!!
Thank you for noticing! 🫶
My thoughts exactly maki... I have been watching Kent almost 3 years now and really enjoy musicians reactions... Great job Stratele. React to Kent's cover of Careless Whisper as well.
That was very cool and very impressive! Thank you!👏🙏🏼😊
I totally agree - he really wins on both sides, as if everything else wasn’t enough in itself🤯😍🤩🤯😍🥰💝. Subscribed to him after my first listen to him🥰💚🌱.
Jeff, I really don’t know how you manage to release a video reaction every single day everything taken into account and even though, it is a labour of love, as you say - it IS a lot of work put into it, and I truly appreciate it ALL!🙏🏼💜💝💖🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🕯️🕯️💫🌟✨🌈
Thank You❤️🤗.
Thank you dear friend! There is so much music in the world and so little time to experience it so I’m compelled to release daily. Maybe one day I’ll slow down hahaha. 🫶🫶🫶
Quite talented this guy technically. Your facial expressions are outstanding when hearing something splendid.
I have not heard the original song for a long time. So
I listened the Chigago version, and must say, that todays teens should study the music history. Terry Kaths guitar solo is insane. And Peter Ceteras voice and tone is unreal.
Thank you for exposing me to a great artist. But it is sad that now I must put my guitar away forever......or maybe get motivated? That sounds better. Happy Holidays all.
Hahaha yes that’s way better! 🎉🎊🫶
in other world
Shoot cannot find my other comment on your channel buy look up Feng E covers of Yellow by Coldplay (on uke) so great and his acoustic/electric guitar duo on Don’t Cry sheesh so gorgeous.
Fantasztik👋👍🏻👍🏻🎸
As if its not already enough he goes in plays the parts of other instruments as well 😮
Jusssst amaaaaaazing!!
😁 Were you expecting any less. I think I've listened to pretty much all his stuff and it's all exceptional 👍
`yes to rocketman :) love to see you picking your own favourites of Kent's covers
Coming soon!
If you watch and listen carefully there is also a bass track overdubbed on all his videos.
hello by lionel guitar cover of kent 😊😊👍
Hardly seems possible, wow!
My 250624 frenfan, so happy
Ken is super !
"It looks like a simple song..." and BAM!!!!!!!!!! Kent Nishimura train just wasted you 🤣🤣🤣
😂🤣😂👏
Tommy Emmanuel who?
Kent is one of my favorite guitarists. About 2 months I discovered another fantatic artist on UA-cam, who goes by the name Marcin. His last name is Patrzalek.
He became famous in Poland, but he came to the US a few years ago to study music. He reached the top 5 on AGT.
Please check out his UA-cam channel. I recommend his renditions of Carmen, Asturias, Kashmir, Toccata, Fur Elise, Bethoven's 5th, and Moonlight Sonnata. They are all fantatic!
He's currently 23. He's been publishing YT videos for many years already. Like Kent, he's a natural talent that started young. He's already put out stuff on Vevo and Candy Rat, and currently has a contract with Sony.
Marcin is showy, it looks impressive, but he does not hold a candle musically to Kent. Kent is on another level.
If you had a band with an acoustic section, you would have him in it. If you were smart.
Have you reacted to Marcin? A famous guitarist from Poland. Another level which was never seen before.
Marcin doesn't hold a candle to Kent. Sure he's a talented, fun guitarist but a lot of technique without feel.
a robot
Not much really impresses me. This was a exception.
Get your mug in the upper corner dude. Can’t see the details
Can’t win ‘em all
Wow….what kind of tuning is he in? I’m just wondering if he’s in some kind of open tuning to get such a fast action and close proximity of fingering transitions😱😱His timing is incredibly precise, and his drumming is on point ……..OUTSTANDING 😎👍👏👏👏
If you check the original video, Kent almost always puts the tuning in the info.
How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice practice!
This is another level.👍
