Hi guys, I am the bubbling Winton in the video! I can clearly see now after watching the VOD that my bubbles are not very good, but I have been working on my bubble timing and improving over the past week or so.
I never played Winton in Overwatch 1 and only very recently (past 4-6 weeks) started playing more Winton. So while I know I have a lot to work on, I am proud of my progress and will take Emongg's tips into consideration when playing Winton.
35:07 is easily my favorite moment in the entire video, I was dying laughing watching that part in the stream! Thanks for all the criticism and laughs and maybe I'll make it back for a where are they now video.

Bubbles are one thing but it also looks like your sensitivity settings are too slow. You mind me asking what your settings for Winston are? I recommend max sensitivity with 0 smoothing. You don't need to be precise on winston.

My favorite part of these videos is emongg sounds like my dad and I yell in at the TV when watching the NFL like it’s gonna make a difference. Like “please don’t jump in and bubble” 20x but at least this makes more sense

This was really good feedback. I've started to play Winston more and think he can be really fun, but I make the mistake of jump+bubble all the time too. Something for me to think about on how to save my bubbles for more strategic plays.

My question would be at the First overtime capture point at about the 21 Minute Mark, Wouldnt be putting the bubble on the cart when the team came out from spawn give yoru DPS and healers some cover form the incoming damage? wouldnt that situation provide some cover as its kindof unorganized chaos? just my thoughts. the rest of the bubbles yes are very much jump and drop.. I would love to say i dont do that but i also do that lol

hey, i just had this idea and i thought id share it.
so i have been playing over watch since the beginning. from 6v6, to 5v5, the game has moved into different directions into different ways.
what i mean by that:
most hero’s have ability’s that haven’t changed much since OW1, but there are few that have. some for the better, but some struggle to come to paste with the changing format (6v6>5v5).
for example, DVAs matrix struggles to find value in this format (hot take, my bad).
also, to keep try to mend the ship we are riding, developers have tried very hard to keep up with the changing tides (at least they are now). from rotating out some OW1 maps, changing the abilities of hero’s, to the constantly back and forth of nerf/buff/nerf/buff etc.
moving forward, i play all roles, but i do seem to find myself having less fun in other roles vs others, seasons in, seasons out. but i have concluded, that the hardest role to play in my opinion is the rank role, through in, through out the patches.
why i believe this:
to kinda go back to my first point for a second, the game was originally made into a 6v6 format, then that changed. the meta was usually 2 tanks/2 sup/2 dps, now you have 5v5, with the roles as we all know them today. so the biggest impacted role from this alone was the tank. i’m not going to get into the 5v5, 6v6 debate l, you’ve you made it this far trust me this isn’t my point. but happy to have you.
most of the nerfs to buffs, etc, i believe have been try to fill this void that now has been created.
i kind of have an idea, but you’ll just have to hear me out, or disagree with me. i just love this game, and care about it. this could be crazy, or a solution. i don’t know.
but here it is:
give the tank role two options when they play the game. pick your tank, then pick an ability for said tank. each tank has multiple “tool ability’s” in their kit. they can change abilities in selected tank when they have to respawn again. there were two tanks, now there’s just two everything else. if this works, possibly less buffs and nerfs until THIS gets tweaked and tuned.

Is it even possible to rank up as tank without playing Mauga/Zarya/Sigma right now? I just feel so hard stuck in mid-gold. I’m pretty committed to Dva and Ram, I barely have any hours on other tanks. But the way the meta is right now it feels like I cannot climb past mid gold with my 2 mains. Do I just stop playing competitive until I learn other tanks? Or am I just at my ceiling until Improve my overall gameplay?
I think you're at your current ceiling. The meta is not always that important in the metal ranks. It's not an instant win, especially in metal ranks. I would always encourage people to learn more heroes, at least one dive, one poke, and one Rush. But one tricking is not wrong at all; there are people at top500 who are one tricks. Also DVa is a bit better this season.
Keep playing, keep practicing. Maybe you need more game awareness, or maybe it's about positioning, could also be your cooldown management. Either way, don't get discouraged, I believe in you, friend
@@Nemo.404 thanks for the kind words. I know my aim isn’t the greatest, which makes capitalizing on kills difficult for me at times. Also my awareness when it comes to enemy cooldowns could use work. I do pretty well at catching enemy ults with dva DM but I don’t pay enough attention to enemies using their cool downs and their timers. I usually base a dive or push off of my own resources and don’t account for enemy resources. It’s just discouraging to get so close plat and then fall to mid gold again. It’s like as soon as I see plat players I don’t know what to do. Maybe it’s my positioning when I get to higher elo’s bc I get killed very fast lol I guess I will just keep trying 🤷🏻♂️
@@blpanthers00 as u climb into plat people will punish a bad dive on dva more and more. using mobility correctly to escape and knowing when to commit to a dive/position and when not to is biggest step you can make. and analysing your deaths. it is possible i practically one trick her but since s8 changes i found it got a little harder.

Maybe not so much with one tank, but finding a high spot to drop in from(surprising the enemies) so your leap out is off cool down when you engage. Try to find cleave on your engage to farm primal. Learn how to juggle for a key pick. Distract. Distract. Distract. Dive when applicable.

well, it's on his discord, but good luck with that, there are at least 100 submissions for spectate daily on the discord xD i have 3 vods sended none got true, and i am on the brink of quiting this game, i was curious if there is something that sees worth keeping me into the game. but, maybe you have better luck then me
