I think HID's need some extra wiring..a transformer or something more technical. 55W is standard for cars too. the difference is in the brightness that can be achieved.
I take it these are easier and cheaper than HID. I've been mulling over doing a HID upgrade. But if these things double the light and are available in the USA, I could go with that. My bulbs re 55W also. I guess that's a typical wattage for bike lamps.
I upgraded mine to HIDs some time ago. Was well worth it. Like yours my stock headlight bulb just wasn't cutting it.
Very nice upgrade. Hope you were able to get the low beam sorted out.
I think I could hear people screaming on the bus as the illuminised photons burned their eyeballs out. Keep up the good work ;o)
Anything to help see better is a good thing in my book. :D

Absolutely Rob.
Thanks mate. yes I did..just a bit of jiggling did the trick.
Thanks B.
Were they expensive in comparison to halogens?
Yep! :) thanks mate.
Awww. I'm sure it misses you too. :(
I miss my Er6f(Ninja) :(
I agree. The standard lamps are really bad in comparison.
Give up life of the bulb for brighter light. I use the Phillips +80s.
