Gary Clark Jr came into my musical life about a decade ago. He shot right to the top of my favorite musicians list. I turned so many people on to Gary's music. When I saw that Sunday Morning was featuring Gary, my excitement felt off the charts. I watched and teared up, because of Gary's immense talent, because of the reciprocated love of his gorgeous parents, that right there defines family love. Just look at and listen to those two wonderful parents. Gary, you're a blessed man right there. Many do not grow up as you did with loving parents. As a child nothing matters more than the parents you were born to. Teared up because of the racism Gary and others have unfairly lived with their entire lives, and because of the beautiful family he now has. How pretty is your wife! Cutest children ever! Really.😊 And, again, because your music from first listen hit me to the core as no other. There isn't a song you have out that I don't like and some I LOVE BEYOND [You Saved Me, Come Together, Pearl Cadillac, This Land, all of them really😁 NUMB-people at work could hear Barb coming into the lot 5 mins before I arrived there. THE LOUDER THE BETTER!!!] There isn't enough I can express here to let Gary Clark Jr know what his music has done for me and means to me. I'm so happy Gary has an amazing family, amazing talent and an amazing career and a piece of paradise. Like Gary, I'm a country girl. I love the mountains, the horses in the pasture, the wildlife, the quiet. Lastly, I've seen Gary and his wickedly good band in concert multiple times. Best Birthday present EVER was seeing Gary and his band perform again on Sept. 8 on The Blackfoot River in Montana. I live in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana and the closest venue is 180 miles round trip. I've driven 1500 miles round trip to see Gary perform in Seattle. That's your musical draw. What a humble, sweet man you appear to be. I'm 62+ now, so when I think of Gary Clark Jr, I feel like a proud parent. I best stop here. I could go on all day. Much love and respect to you Gary Clark Jr and to your families. As far as I'm concerned, you're the reigning king of the lead guitar. I've seen Page, Clapton, Hendrix in Seattle before he ever lit his guitar on fire...all the greatest guitarists. You're the best Gary! Thank You So Much for your music!🎸💖 I hope you win 4 Grammy Awards. Rival Sons is my 2nd favorite band, so I hope they win a Grammy too.📀
His music has been like my soulful company, on the road. I remember hearing Bright Lights, when I was in New York, almost a decade ago. I looked him up, and found out he's a Black Texan, like me, only a year older. Huge fan of every album and song since. Good vibes... Thanks for shining, Gary Clarke Jr. True 🌟. This Land is awesome, because you're one of the greatest.
Chris Bullock well, yes of course it has! I was just drawing a comparison to Clark’s contemporaries in the entertainment biz. (yes Trump is an entertainer).
Been watching Gary since he was a kid about 15 or 16 years old at the Victory Grill in Austin. Playing old school blues. It's in his genes. His uncle is a well know musician here . W.C.Clark. Love them both.
We nodded heads at each other and at that time I Never knew who he was But I had the chance to fix some lighting fixtures in his home with the company I work for , really cool guy.
I've had the pleasure of seeing Gary 3 times, and he is without a doubt one of the most gifted guitar players to ever walk the face of the Earth. He makes it look effortless, is super humble, and grateful for everything that comes his way. Personally, I put him up there with that other blues legend from Austin.......Stevie. Please Gary come back to Surly again this Summer!
I think he is a very impressive artist with a grounded , humble and kind personality. He was obviously raised right by thoughtful parents ....a very loving family of faith. I hope he gets a Grammy !! 👍 👍
love his music and how his guitar solos sounds. true sound bender. its like he is taking something out of that guitar. just amazing. he is so underrated because he is black
Saw him in Berlin at Astra Kulturhaus and it was awesome. With a capacity of 1500 people it felt like a private show. Next time I bet he quadruple the venue size.
funny but Clapton used to say the same thing about SRV. His "flow". Clark seems to a good soul. However, he is not breaking much ground in the blues or rock world. He's around and playing his music. But, once you hear Stevie, then you have the bar.
Awesomeness!!! THIS IS MY LAND!!! THIS IS MY GUITAR!!! Hendrix reincarnated ? if you believe . . . but NAaaaaaahhh!!! hahaha!!! I HOPE HE WINS ALL THE GRAMMYS HE IS NOMINATED FOR !!!
This guy has honestly surpassed Hendricks, Clapton, and everyone comparable. When you hear that first lick, you know that it's Gary. Hands down the best guitar player ever.
My new neighbor, Gary "reverse race card victim" Clark, Jr. who sneered at my request to retrieve my donkey from his goat field with an open gate after pacing my front door complaining. "Creative license" doesn't extend to slander. Gary is Indian Hill Neighborhood's HOA new celebrity neighbor. We welcome him, and his wife's bodyguard to the 'hood. His lyrics are a bit embellished, but we still love him on a 1 - 10 scale. We tried to deliver a "welcome to the 'hood" Central Market blueberry pies, but we couldn't get through his fortified gate to deliver them after our discussion over my elderly donkey in his goat field at my front door, not his. Gary's a professional gaslighter. I should at least get credit for being his "inspiration" to claim reverse race-card victimization when he lowered his head and said "I only live here" when I naively asked whether he owned the goat field he refused to allow me to retrieve grandma donkey with a bucket of corn I had in my hand. "Nah" from Clark over my simple request to enter his "50 acres" deserved the response in kind I'm sorry his child he had with him heard me say. Don't bring your kid to an argument to my front door over my arthritic donkey wandering through your open fence. You, and "Mr. Williams" / Tim, and Susan, Hukill, are too much to handle. Law enforcement refuses to regulate my complaints. Hukill poisoned 3 of 4 of my previous alpacas, and calls law enforcement on "incidents" he creates. I told you that, and you wrote a song about my own miseries. Laugh all the way to after-life, bro. Both of you will answer for your dishonesty. I don't deserve the ridicule, or retaliation, for speaking the truth.
"law enforcement refuses to regulate my complaints" . Yeah, I bet you are the guy he's talking about. Let us know when you've deiced to meditate on the song instead of telling us about your rights to his property, and the impropriety of him not respecting you like he should. WOW.
The fact that he has the mindset “im not special...” is what makes him special
Gary is on a different level.
I know this is old. But I love this comment
@Barrett Peterschick “i have been watching shitzone for since November” you’re for sure not an scammer from India.

He represents Texas well. Keep making that awsome music.

I must be living under a rock, this guy is the real deal and I just literally learned about him!
I first heard Gary Clark jr. 20 years ago when he played Joe's Generic Blues Bar on 6th in Austin. Loved him ever since!

How I love this musician!! My new Jimi Hendrix!!
word of simple advice, stay away from all helicopters bro.
What better way to flex on the neighbors than to make a whole music video lmao badass
Mercy Peters told me about this dude 10 years ago
Gary is amazing for sure, but go see him live, he'll leave you spellbound.
He sure does. Like no other.🎸
Carry on
"That's someone else with the problem" very true
Like Prince, his genius talent looks too easy. It’s complex, he’s complex. So, so brilliant. Seriously how sweet are his parents?
Jimmie Vaughn’s protege
What is it about this region that generates some of the greatest blues guitarists (Stevie)?
Started with a neighbor girl , ends up on stage with eric clapton!!!!!
The new Hendrix
What a nice family.
what's the song at the beginning of the video?
"when my train pulls in"
funny but Clapton used to say the same thing about SRV. His "flow". Clark seems to a good soul. However, he is not breaking much ground in the blues or rock world. He's around and playing his music. But, once you hear Stevie, then you have the bar.

Musically yes . And honestly in my pops words "He's a Hendrix in a world if Kardashians"

Parents still together!!!!!!!!!!!
Dog feces in the mailbox?! How do people even get out of bed when they are that miserable? I guess the motivation to share their misery is powerful.
Nothing but God 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
What is Clark Sr's son willing to admit to embellishing in our one and only conversation?
ua-cam.com/video/YsRMoWYGLNA/v-deo.html
Gary, current baddest man on the planet, but watchout the kingfish is coming. Shakey Graves another guy from Austin is the coolest.
@SuperPunch76 I meant the baddest referring to his stage presence and overall charisma, not just playing ability.
My new neighbor, Gary "reverse race card victim" Clark, Jr. who sneered at my request to retrieve my donkey from his goat field with an open gate after pacing my front door complaining.

WOW.
Scott Ogle You spike your truth. He speaks his truth. Tone is everything to do with delivery.
Creeper neighbors who love the Tams but not you.
Can you tell me what that means ...tams
It really shows when the person doing the interview is completely clueless about their subject matter. Stick with old people stories please ...
Well, it is Sunday Morning....?
Not EVEN close to JIMI .. this land is the banks lmfao
I saw this it looks like a 5 year old kid wrote it.
