Well, I just learned that Japanese Honda CRVs have 4 lug-nuts instead of 5.

I have a 1998 JDM Honda CRV and can confirm that they are 4 bolt. It's the first thing I noticed when I got my CRV. The JDM CRV uses Accord brakes. I changed the front brakes and accord ones fit. I had to change all 4 struts and the fronts would not fit (too long). I had to remove the collar off the strut and drop it into the wishbone. Rear struts installed ok. Another big difference from USDM to JDM is that my CRV has no OBD2 connector. Just the Honda 3 wire diagnostic plug. But I found an online a seller selling a device called "Hondash". It's a bluetooth adapter and app. It works well. I replaced my starter, USDM worked. Rear trailing arm bushings, USDM worked, Timing belt and motor mount USDM worked, Tuneup items (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket) USDM worked. FRONT AXLES, are not the same as USDM. I was able to change just the outer joint with an Integra joint. Someone did the research and found all the parts for the front axles. www.crvownersclub.com/threads/attn-mail-carriers-jdm-honda-rd1-rhd-part-numbers-for-cv-joints-and-wheel-bearings.229435/
