The KINGTONE BLUES POWER! ITS A BOOST? OR AN EQ?!? headphones beware!

  • This is my go to pedal when i just cant crank the amps!
I am 100% a fan of a cranked Fender Super Reverb or Deluxe. Those tubes really need to saturate to give you all its potential.... but sometimes we cant play at a really loud level, but we still want the big TONE!
So, thats what i use the BLUES POWER for.... and EQ for the amp.
Its naturally a big boost by design, but ive found a few other benefits from it. This is how i use it as an attenuator in a way, or an eq? Or an amp brake, or a master volume. Who knows. But, i dig it!
Check out KingTone and their other products here:

    Peace and thanks!

Killer content and killer tone my friend! You know it s my favorite overdrive too,you should try to put the dip switches on transparent mode in the inside and put the blues power in glass setting, you will have the exact tone of your amp but attenuated,no mid boost, that s how i use it;)You ll have more low end tighter too than the edge and more dynamic too ;)

I use alot of my pedals Like this to cause I live in a apartment building so can't always crank it up. This is a great method to do at lower volumes and I can get really killer tones without my neighbors wanting to kill me. I just acquired a fender super six reverb from 72 so this definitely helps.

Love my Blues Power pedal. This and the Ibanez Vemuram TSV808 stay on my pedalboard all the time. I own the Duelist as well but in my opinion the Blues Power and the TSV808 are two of the most transparent overdrive pedals in the industry. They each serve a different purpose but well worth it. They sound impeccable going through my Carl’s Custom Amps Custom 50 with a single vintage 15 inch JBL speaker in the cab. Great vid Nik. You never disappoint Brother. 🤘🏼

@@extendedlines The guy from Aion claims its the same circuit. I have searched for all the Tim videos availables, and in none of them I have been able to find that “glassy” sound. It seems Jesse’s idea to include the highs EQ previous to the circuit makes the difference I like most. Its also difficult to hear the Tim at those gains in the videos. I dont know if its because of the Tim players or if its because the Blues Power has more gain. Do you have a Tim ?

I was just doing this with the duelist last night. But I bought two 5 watt amps for guitar room at home. I’m running them out a 2/12 & 2/10 cabs to move some air/ make it sound bigger. Just turning them up is too loud for my house when the wife and kid are home.

    Hi Nik,
Im looking in to getting a super reverb.
Would the blues power being used as an EQ as youve showed bring it to life at low volumes for bedroom use?
Otherwise I was thinking buying a princeton reverb for the bedroom and the super reverb for going wild.
    What are your thoughts mate?
Thanks and keep uo the great vids.

Sidenote: How to achieve fat tones like this without makeing the neighboors or your woman cry? Accept, that a tube amp may is not the right choice and buy a Yamaha THR. Awesome amp, check the video when Sayce plays that thing...

I understand what you're saying, but its hard to judge, or for that matter believe you, because you mixed the vid so that your cranked amp and pedal output are the same exact volume. Its hard to tell what its going live at bedroom level. IMO you should had part of the demo recorded at real ambient decibel level and not boosted the pedal to match the amps ambient level
