Same way i got to know The Haunted. Before they opened for Killswitch in Wiesbaden i had never heared of them. They seem to roll with reliably awesome opening acts.
I liked Jamie but I honestly prefer Josh on vocals more, his singing on edge of the earth is masterful, that masterpiece wouldn’t be the same With someone else on vocals. Jamie is a quality singer tho.

Great live performance of Teras in Munich on Thursday - sweat dripping wet, scream myself hoarse, moshpits, neck still hurts - I could not have desired more 🤘
Right on Sweet518. It's nice to hear A-440 tuning and it still sounds heavy. I'm 52 years old, my 21 year old Son turned me on to these guys cause he knew I'd like the standard tuning. I will be purchasing this CD forthwith.
I'm so glad I found this band, no super well known and still better imo than some big name metal bands, the riffs and breakdowns in this song alone struck me, the creativity and originality is amazing. I've never heard a breakdown so fantastic on an outro before, I listen to tons of metal bands. Whole album is insane tbh.
i went to school with the drummer and one of the guitarists, good to see them doing well, i remember them playing in school assembly lol. MULE!!!!!!!!!!
"Sylosis is a British melodic death metal band from Reading, Berkshire formed in 2000. They have used various genres in their music over the years with their first 2 EPs and debut album. They base themselves on 1980s thrash metal crossed with modern styles of music like metalcore. Sylosis was formed in late 2000 by original member Josh Middleton when they were back in school, as a bunch of kids who just wanted to play metal, mainly old school thrash and death metal"
This is still my alltime favorite title. I mean, Havok is heavy af (give me liberty or give me death), but nothing will ever top this one. It truly deserves the title MASTERPIECE. Too bad Jamie left. It's just not the same band without him, HOAC doesn't really hit my taste either...
I miss Jamie on vocals so much. Josh does a great job for sure, but there's just something about the energy and tone of Jamie's vocals that are just amazing.
@@StatikXero I have heard him with his hands after Sylosis, but I miss the sound of his voice with Josh's riffs behind it. There was so much power in that first album.
@Don Vaporeon Yeah, amazing guitar player but average singer. It's simple, everybody can sing like Josh, but not everybody can sing like Jamie. I almost like all songs on their 1st record but have hard time finding any good songs from their later albums. But Teras is one of my favourite metal songs of all time. That's why makes me kinda sad, of what could have been. There's many bands where I miss the old singer. Fleshgod Apocalypse for example, singer left, drummer took over and passion is gone. Three Days Grace turned also really unpassionate and boring with new singer. Killswitch Engage I also stopped listening when Jesse Leach left for long time. And latest, one of my favourite rock acts, H.E.A.T singer left and new singer just doesn't have the passion that old singer had.
@@kidra81 Explain how Sylosis have gone Downhill when Cycle of Suffering was their second best selling album (their best selling album isn't even one Jamie is Vocals on)
no one says you have to like it, but respect the fact that some of us do. i think this whole album is absolutely brilliant. you don't have to agree, but just know that other people have different opinions than you
Heard this band live (supporting Dragonforce with Glamour for the Kill and Sabaton) and since then I've purchased their workings and Sabatons workings and haven't stopped listening to them, Sylosis are absolutely amazing and I really want to go and see them again.
I don't know man i think it comes down to personal preference, Trivium was great from Ascendancy through to Shogun, Shogun in particular is a masterpiece
I have to say, Trivium is really heading downhill. They were heading downhill after Shogun but now it's getting even worse. Sylosis never disappoints \m/
You must be more into the Thrash than the Death/progressive in this band. I enjoy the new albums alot more from this band than the first album. I still like the first alot though, but I think that their new sound it more thick, evolving and interesting :)
THeMathMog93, you're probably right though maybe it's the production style that puts me off the newer stuff. IdiotBoy: Not really, given the most 'modern' albums I listen to and enjoy are probably from Gojira. The drumming and vocals on this album are in my opinion, way more interesting than what's going on with them now. Newer stuff bores me.
Man these guys are sick, you can also tell where the guitarist got his shreding from, his Death tank pretty much says it all haha. And the bassist has a some sweet dreads.
@SDMFAnthony The Venue is Face Bar in Reading. It's Their Hometown and where they have played for YEARS. That place gives so many bands the opporunity to get noticed so it's only fair losis recognise that. Which they have so they did it there.
I've just got my signed copy of Edge of the Earth today, it's definately a great album, listened to it twice, if you haven't got it, get out there and buy it.
Still the best Sylosis song and best album aswell. And to think, this was their 1st studio album. Band lineup changes after that really made a huge difference.
Whos still rocking this in 2023
@Christian..... hell yeah bro!
Over here! All day man!
Fuck yeah!
always brother
All day!! Hell yeah!! 🤘🔥
2024 just found this! How did I miss it? Who cares? It's amazing!
Yes they killed it

Even better idea! Play ANY SYLOSIS song at all!!!

Memememe
Itll rock till the end. 🤘🏻
Listening to this masterpiece twice in a row. Might go three.
Ahh I remember being there for this, they had to play it like 6 times in a row. Was a fun night!
what was it like man? ten years ago, wow. time flies.
15 years old. Facebar. My face melted.
You lucky fucker 😆
I could listen to this track six times in a row very easily
LOL were they fucking up? Usually they just use clips from multiple concerts on a tour xD
Can't believe Sylosis aren't more famous. I had never heard of them until I saw them warming up for Killswitch, and I've been loving them since!
I cannot believe this insane song has only one million views.
Same way i got to know The Haunted. Before they opened for Killswitch in Wiesbaden i had never heared of them. They seem to roll with reliably awesome opening acts.
I first saw them supporting Trivium. Amazing band, I instantly hooked.
Holy shit Britain, Thank you for this band.
Best thing from Britain since Sex Pistols
bonza haja Iron maiden, black Sabbath, Judas priest, evile and gama bomb beg to differ.
Sylosis are awesome though.
Daniel Mc Donald Sylosis is better than all of them
AnnihilAnthrax Nahh. You seem so butthurt because you know its the truth :)
I didn't know the word "thank" was a name.
sylosis and revocation = hope of metal
dont take me wrong, josh is a big inspiration such a virtous guitaris and amazing vocalist but this guy had so much passion on his vocals aswel
I agree %100!
Jamie Graham is an awesome vocalist and a really nice dude to! :)
Listen to viscera he is the lead singer! Such a good band too
I liked Jamie but I honestly prefer Josh on vocals more, his singing on edge of the earth is masterful, that masterpiece wouldn’t be the same With someone else on vocals. Jamie is a quality singer tho.
That's why this album is a masterpiece!
Peace, Love, Wisdom, and Metal
This i wish for who ever needs it.
Preach it brother
Absolute masterpiece. The riffs, the transitions, the Melodies. Unreal
This is one of the greatest metal songs of any era. Such a great album.. I actually loved Jamie Graham's vocals in Sylosis.
I could listen to the breakdown at the end for eternity
2015 and still jamming this on my axe.
Nice one brother!
+Chris NotReallyThatSweet Nice....I really need to learn this!!
+Chris NotReallyThatSweet dat solo !
Just learned this song on guitar. EPIC!
The guitar player is a shredder and very good but this whole band is tight including this singer
It’s so fun to play
Probably my favourite metal screamer of all time ! Every scream is so powerful and executed perfectly!
this band brings me back to the 80s and 90s metal i grew up on but yet a newer edge. hard to explain but yea, into them now!
Look at the world bestowed unto our children
Their lives are over before they have begun
The weak lost in temptations of the flesh
We see the will of tyrants gaining strength
Fear in control... the screams are everywhere
Now hear the sound of millions running scared
We're crushed by the weight of the burden on our shoulders
Relentless pressure to bridge this great divide
The weak lost in the chasms of despair
We see the nations crumbling to ash
Fear in control... the screams are everywhere
Now hear the sound of millions running scared
Horrors so dark, this is no nightmare... this is real
This is the end of life... the end of life we know
Impossible to see a way for is to survive
Awakening to fury... the fury of the death
Relentless fire consuming everyone
3:10 It gets me all the time. Beautiful.
this song is so perfect. the outro is my favorite
I love all of sylosis but man the energy in this era is unmatched
teras= τέρας (in greek) =monster
Thanks, greek guy :)
+NICK TSATSIMAS Teras(Malay) = Core
teras (in turkish) = terrace, patio..
Teras (in Bahasa Indonesia) = The front of the house to relax
teraz in Polish = that time ;)
Easily the most underrated band in metal.
no doubt. bleed from within too
@@mharrishealth bleed from within are peaking the fuck out. I hope they continue with what they're doing
Crazy how young Josh Middletone is in this video. Homeboy has grown up for sure and so has this band.

My favourite song from Sylosis. You guys should check out the vocalists current band Heart of a Coward and their new song Hollow. It is incredible!
Will do
Nathan Herbertson now check out his new band viscera
half a million? They didn't sell their souls, they'll remain pure and true forever. Thank you Sylosis.
