Almost two years ago I bought LSAdventure (lsadv.cz) motorcycle phone mount, version 3.0 at the time to prepare for the Dinaric rally.
Two years later I’ve been given by Leoš (the founder of LSAdventure) the latest version (3.5) of his motorcycle phone mount (probably as a consolation price for my 4th place at the Dinaric rally 2021).
The 3.5 version is now 150 grams lighter because of use of aluminium (on some parts) and other weight savings so I'm looking forward to see if it performs as well as my old version and survive all the abuse I put it through.
I really like the holder, it worked well and I think it deserves few minutes talking about the progress the mount has made in those 2 years as well as running through it’s features.
    Chapters:
    00:00 Intro
    00:40 Weight savings
    01:30 Longer spacer columns
    02:01 Custom charger mod
    02:16 Feature rundown
03:09 Do not modify the mount!

A new post by the Apple Support Forum suggests that the strong vibrations released during riding a motorcycle could be harmful to the iPhone’s camera module. The smartphone manufacturer recommends against mounting the phone on a motorcycle to prevent this.

That’s why I use old iPhone 6 instead of the new flashy phone as I said in the video.
Considering that this mount has all rubber mounting it may be easier in the phone but I would not mount and expensive phone on the motorcycle.
It is quite common knowledge that iPhone cameras don’t like vibrations be it on the motorcycle or bicycle.

@@FARANDFURTHER Without proper testing it’s always difficult to know if rubber mounts decrease or increase the effects of vibration.🕊

I guess thats true, but I've been using it with the iPhone 6 for years and the camera is fine. I know it's not the lab test but it is some test. I'd not put in modern phone though...

Hi, love your videos. For the sake of 400g I would prefer a steel mount. In my experience aluminium fractures sooner or later in off-road conditions, it’s a question of when not if.🕊

Hi I'm really happy the videos are useful. With the mount, let's see.... how it will go the original full steel one lasted incredibly long. This one has already some good amount of off road and most of the aluminium parts are really not structural. Only time will tell.

Hey! LSAdv who is producing the mount is selling the charger as well:
      www.lsadv.cz/produkt-101-wireless-qi-charging-pad
Not sure where you're located but shipping within EU makes sense outside... probably just look for some local supplier.

I took a look through your video list looking for a video where you made the Custom charger mod but did not see one. Did I overlook it? Reason I am curious is the new Garmin Zumo XT GPS motorcycle cycle power source has a large 'box' (technical term...I assume it's some kind of voltage regulator) attached in the middle of the cable and it's a challenge for installation. Something like what you have done for your wireless charger could be a solution to make it better.

I'm not sure if I have a video about it.... I don't think so. I made some posts on the Instagram (instagram.com/farandfurther).
      What I've done is:
      1) Made water proof harness which goes from Battery - Fuse - 1 to 3 lines splitter.
      2) Waterproof USB charger which is attached all the time and powers the TPMS
      3) Wireless charger I've used the 12V -> 9V convertor + used the electronics from the Wireless charger and connected those that's also attached all the time.
I've decided to use special casting epoxy on all of those because it's designed for electronics, it's trasfering heat (cools things down) and most importantly when electronics is casted like this the vibrations can't kill it.
Maybe I should do a video... on instagram there are post and some description as well.

Does this mount absorbs the bike vibrations? I know many peoples new phones got destroyed because of the bike’s vibrations. I found only 2 companies making vibration dampers but only one of them makes really good products.

Welll… that’s a good question. I would say yes but it for sure didn’t go through some lab test or what not. I would not put my main phone in any mount on the bike to be honest.
I use old iPhone 6S there and I have my mine hidden. This way when someone steals it o don’t care and if border wants to see my pictures…. There is only few …
I’d recommend the same to anyone, really.
