  • After a nasty wreck this summer and a broken super bike, I've decided to build out the perfect crit bike for next season. Check out the first part of the build and my unboxing of Prime's Doyenne aluminum aero bars.

Nice. I am doing my own 'budget' build for my tt bike this year. Also going with latex tubes for the first time on my new wheels

I think you'll love the latex tubes! I use them on my Campy wheels and they ride sublime! They definitely work best on cotton or silk cased tires (Vittoria, Veloflex, Vredestein) vs. rubber/nylon cased (Conti, etc.).

    CAAD's...best crit bikes.
You crash, you get up, you adjust your shifters, give it a once over, hop back on and go.

Just popping back here to ask your thoughts on the Prime Doyenne aero road bar now that you’ve had it a couple months. What do you think of them?

I actually think they're phenomenal. Especially for the price. Yes, they're heavy as heck, but they're very solid and very comfortable. Perfect for crits!!
