I rec getting the ALDs bc materials and quality is better. Also bc of market and recession etc, some deals you can find for you or your fiancé. Plus the 550 hypers have moved on to Sambas and ASICS etc so have pops to cop.
Ive just got a pair in size 9, i found the felt long in the toe and had a lot of heel slip/rub, dowsized to an 8.5 and shoe fits better but heel slip is still bit of an issue, could it be my socks?
I started buying New Balance in high school (mid 90’s). Just wanted some diversity in the line up. A few pair were more expensive than J’s back then. Needless to say, my classmates didn’t see the vision. 😂😂😂
NB have always been better bang for buck when it comes to materials and craftsmanship. The hype around certain models ebbs and flows so if you value that more than quality, then that’s a personal choice. I find both have their pros but overall NB beats Nike on quality esp the Made in UK and Made in USA lines.

I bought them and I honestly like them but has a 11.5 shoe size I feel like the size 12 will fit more comfortably.
