"You do what you do, and you hope people enjoy it." Well, I have absolutely enjoyed what you've done, Bernie, and you've certainly influenced my playing. Thanks a million!
Aint1S yeah but If he did an 8 hour video he would run out of things to say ,and it would become awkward but howsoever I do understand what you mean saylike
What an absolute golden bloke. Just hearing how humble and easy going the guy is makes me want to go out and buy all his albums. You can tell he's still such a guitar enthusiast.
Lee does some of the best interviews around. Less interrogation and more conversation, and you really get to know the folks he's talking to. AFA Bernie, I could listen to that man play for days...RIP to one of the greats.
8 years ago already. What a wonderful person and guitarist. I rediscovered Bernie just a year before he passed away. Still sad he just left Whitesnake when I saw them live in the early 80's. Thank you for these two videos!
It's crazy how some of these life long players stay humble. My uncle plays every woodwind instrument perfectly. Plays piano and a little guitar. He never brings it up. I damn near have to pry it out of him LOL.
Well done Captain... this video just like the last Bernie video was great, the playing, the chat... just awesome!!! Captain, you have better interviewing skills than 99 percent of the people on TV. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the video.
Wow what an inspiration! That man is absolutely mind blowing, thank you captain to share with us such an amazing personality. Two super successful and humble people, appreciate it.
I've now had the pleasure of seeing Bernie Marsden live. He is an absolutely Class performer. If you get the chance please go and see him. He's even better than you imagine. Thanks very much to Lee Anderton for these two interviews.
Lee, I wasn't looking during the intro jam, and from sound alone I didn't notice that Bernie had stopped his solo and you'd taken over. Testament to your increasingly excellent playing!
Such a joy to sit in on this musical conversation. Captain Lee, this is the best I've heard you play. Bernie... I first heard you on Whitesnake's Come and Get It... and, then looked for every Whitesnake album in the back catalog I could find here in the states. Ain't Gonna Cry No More was a favorite, and so amazing to hear the sympathetic tones from the double neck, kinda like a sitar. Though, I've never tried to emulate your playing, I know you've had such a tremendous influence on my own musical journey. Thank you for the heart you so adeptly express through the strings.
Thanks Cap, great second visit with Bernie. Lucky to have met him at Experience PRS last summer and he is a true gentleman. Ordered his book and can't wait for the next one. Guitars on the Go!
Love these vids from Bernie's house, keep going back! He's so down to earth and happy (not to mention amazing tones on guitar). Much love from the mountains in Colorado, USA.
I said it before and I'll say it again. Bernie seems to be one of the nicest persons you could ever meet and Lee looks like there's no other place on earth he'd rather be when he's hanging with Bernie. Great video and wonderful guitars!
How has this video eluded me for so long??? I've watched the two other BM videos you did SO many times now it's become a borderline obsession, he's a huge influence of mine and such a nice bloke. He is greatly missed by so so many.
Look at The Captain jamming with Bernie, awesome! Thanks for doing another one of Bernie! Your two interviews are the only "on camera" that I can recall seeing of him, what a lovely gentleman.
It takes me for ever to watch these Bernie videos. Every time he references some old music or guitar players. Hahahaha I gotta pause it and go check out what he’s talking about. I love it! Thanks guys
Really enjoyed this and the last one you guys did. You should definitely make this a regular thing, best thing I've watched this year. Top Notch tones, playing and conversation.
Always a huge pleasure to hear Bernie talk and play like this. Loved the sound of the double neck and while the Firebird is thin sounding in the right song and mix would add the second or third guitar parts nicely...
This Gentleman seems to have honey on his fingers while he plays. Magic ! Like almost all geniouses, he’s also a nice humble person ! Apart from that, he has an unique knowledge and life experience...Lee and Bernie should do these sessions at least twice a year ! Priceless ! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏
Not that familiar with Bernie with the exception of his '59 Beast but this is 1 of my favorite episodes you have ever done. Would be great if you do more episodes like this with their vintage guitars & stories.
I’m kind of new to Anderson’s videos so I’ve watched a lot of videos in a short time. I have noticed how good a guitarist Lee has become since the start. Good show captain. It is refreshing to see such progress. Keep it up. Thanks for all the fun.
I think the Tele palm rest was fitted to prevent palm muting back in the day when it wasn't a desirable thing to do. Nearly all lap steels and pedal steels had them for the same reason.
Fantastic video Capt. Great to be able to jam with Bernie, nice intro and great interview and chat. As well as the guitar collection a comprehensive music collection, love the way the shelves are sagging under the weight of all that vinyl :) Hoping won't be too long to "part 3 at Bernie's" ! great guy. Have pre-ordered the book :)
That was great....again! I l loved the first interview and as a result bought a PRS Bernie and have pledged for the book. The PRS is the sweetest sounding guitar I have and plays so well, amazing value. These new ones sound brilliant. A bit out of my price range I think but I would like one.......
Merry Xmas to me!! What an amazing interview. Part II was just as epic as part I. My favorite part besides Bernie the Legend Marsden in whole was the 12-string Gibson, that was incredible. Great job, Lee, you gotta do a part III.
Another thumbs-up for your great playing in the intro Lee, both rhythm and then lead. Please do another one of your brilliant tutorial videos featuring what you played here. I learned a lot from the earlier ones and surely it's time for another!
1st of all props to ya Lee, you're getting better and better with every video i see of you jamming, great feel and killer licks mate :) and 2nd of all holly mother of god that double neck was amazing 0_o P.S: This should be a yearly video occurrence, love to see what bernie is been up too. He's one of my favorite guitar players/story tellers hehehe Marry Xmas & A happy new year to all the Andertons staff and family. Cheers
Thanks for this video. Have been a fan of Bernies for a long time. Saw Moody Marsden when they recorded the Never turn live album, which i remember fondly.
RIP Bernie, a true gentleman 😢
"You do what you do, and you hope people enjoy it." Well, I have absolutely enjoyed what you've done, Bernie, and you've certainly influenced my playing. Thanks a million!
I just had to rewatch the Bernie videos. 💔
LOL who forgets they have a 64 firebird in the house.... Absolutely love Bernie and I love his style
Lee your playing in that intro was incredible!
Yes... really was. Great stuff!
Amazing Lee made Bernie blush I think
Bernie is such a nice and humble guy, great video again.
Plus, my jaw dropped at the sound from that twin-neck. I have never heard anything like that come naturally from a guitar. My God, that's awesome.
Years ago I had a twin neck bass/guitar and I got a similar sort of sound by playing the bass neck with the guitar pickups on.
Do they all do this? Is this a fluke with this one?
I can't get enough of Bernie's stories and guitars.
Aint1S he is a perfect story teller and great player isnt he ?
Aint1S id love a weekly series
Aint1S yeah but If he did an 8 hour video he would run out of things to say ,and it would become awkward but howsoever I do understand what you mean saylike
I could listen to Bernie talk and play everyday. Thanks, Lee.
Bernie was a jewel for guitar players, awesome tone and feel. Very cool interview Captain.
I could listen to Mr Marsden talk and play all day!!
What an absolute golden bloke. Just hearing how humble and easy going the guy is makes me want to go out and buy all his albums. You can tell he's still such a guitar enthusiast.
"He's not trying to reinvent the wheel, he's just trying to make it very slightly rounder." Best quote I've ever heard to describe Paul's work.
RIP legend.😔
Lee does some of the best interviews around. Less interrogation and more conversation, and you really get to know the folks he's talking to. AFA Bernie, I could listen to that man play for days...RIP to one of the greats.
RIP Bernie
Bernie seems like such a humble guy for being a rockstar.
You can see in Bernies eyes the reason we all do this, He loves guitars and you can't hide that
Thanks Bernie and Lee
What a great video about Bernie someone with a bit of history and looking forward to his books
8 years ago already. What a wonderful person and guitarist. I rediscovered Bernie just a year before he passed away.
Still sad he just left Whitesnake when I saw them live in the early 80's. Thank you for these two videos!
RIP Bernie.
What a lovely, wonderful guitarist and human being Bernie is.
What a top bloke, genuine love for his craft, I remember playing air guitar 30 years ago to whitesnake tunes, could listen to the story's for hours!
Best Anderton's video of 2016. The Captain has upped his game. Surprised Bernie didn't compliment his vibrato.
+Alan Jackson Yeah, the Captain has a lovely vibrato.
This is a fantastic interview. What a humble but talented fellow Bernie is. Some amazing guitars too.
What a blessing to be able to discover a forgotten Firebird in your guitar room, I wish I had that problem! Great video!
This is my new argument next time someone says that I have too many guitars
Saw Bernie playing a gig in St. Albans a few months back where he played that twin neck, such a good tone from and such a good player
The Captain tore it up during the intro. Weekend at Bernie's Part 2, love it.
I absolutely love shows like this! Keep doing them Capt!
I've now had the pleasure of seeing Bernie Marsden live. He is an absolutely Class performer. If you get the chance please go and see him. He's even better than you imagine. Thanks very much to Lee Anderton for these two interviews.
'Jam with Bernie' CD on the shelf behind Bernie's head. Bought it - great fun to play along with, superbly recorded.
Love Bernie Marsden, think i watched the first one with him about 5 times, this is great, such a nice guy and player ! thx
What a thoroughly nice bloke. Great interview Captain, could listen to Bernie for hours.
Lee, I wasn't looking during the intro jam, and from sound alone I didn't notice that Bernie had stopped his solo and you'd taken over. Testament to your increasingly excellent playing!
Can't wait for part 3, Bernie what a player and a down to earth lovely guy.
The Capt and Bernie should do this at least 4 times a year.
Bernie and Lee should just divorce their respective wifes and move in together lol
An hour of pure joy. A nice Christmas gift to us all. Thank you!
Well done Captain! It was a great pleasure to watch this.Looking forward to see Captain meets Bernie 3.
Such a joy to sit in on this musical conversation. Captain Lee, this is the best I've heard you play. Bernie... whoa! I just rewatched the first one like yesterday! Awesome timing.
Thanks Cap, great second visit with Bernie. Lucky to have met him at Experience PRS last summer and he is a true gentleman. Ordered his book and can't wait for the next one. Guitars on the Go!

My absolute favourite captain meets! Always a pleasure to hear Bernie talk and play. A gentleman and a great guitar player.

Match made in heaven! You both are just so humble and capable guys. Best 60 minutes of my day! :-)
It takes me for ever to watch these Bernie videos. Every time he references some old music or guitar players. Hahahaha I gotta pause it and go check out what he’s talking about. I love it! Thanks guys
Never really heard Bernie before, but he seems like such a great guy
CaptainLee incredible playing. Definitely kept up with a legend. And Bernie - just a class act.

I gasped when the double bound 'burst tele came into shot... that is the dream. She's beautiful

This is just awesome! Please do part 3
Thanks Captain Lee
Bernie, What a legend!
Not that familiar with Bernie with the exception of his '59 Beast but this is 1 of my favorite episodes you have ever done. Would be great if you do more episodes like this with their vintage guitars & stories.
I know easier said than done but a video like this with Jimmy Page would be one of the most amazing videos ever
