Late one night I had a visit from beyond the veil. I was told to repeat a prayer as given to me. They were the most beautiful words I’ve ever heard. I remember the very end of the prayer included safety for my family members. Afterwards, I saw a smile from one of the 3 gentlemen. They were all dressed in old time shepards robes. I particularly noted one of them as he knowingly smiled at me. 2 days later when my husband was in a commercial building installing fiber optics in the attic, the ceiling (or floor beneath him) gave way. What’s interesting is that moments prior, he felt prompted to crawl on his back pulling the cables with him. When the floor suddenly gave way, he automatically wrapped his legs around the beams and also grabbed beams as he began to fall. Had he not listened and obeyed, he would have fallen 20 feet onto a cement floor, face first. A few weeks later, I saw a photograph of my great grandfather. It was the man who smiled at me. He was a Shepard in the badlands of Wyoming for some years. Yes to special prayers being given to us, and yes to angels and ancestors watching over us.
Thanks for sharing❤ lately, I have been prompted more and more to pray specifically for Heavenly Father to “send the Holy Ghost” and to “send angels” and also to “send my ancestors” to help those I am praying for and I have been seeing miracles. It helps so much to start a prayer with the plea that you will be guided by the Holy Ghost in what you pray for.
During an early morning session in the SLC temple, the light was on in the Holy of Holies. I knew Jesus was in there and immediately felt an overwhelming feeling that he wanted to affirm this and let me know he loves me. I cried like a baby! It’s the most incredible experience I have ever had! Now I can’t say I believe, but witness that I know he lives and loves us!
When my husband and I were chaperones for a church history youth trip about 12 years ago, we were told that they don't usually let people sing "The Spirit of God", but on the rare occasion, if they are not very slammed they will. When our group was in the temple, our guide said, "there is no one waiting. would you like to sing your song?" So I was asked to lead the youth in singing. I am not real musical and I was shocked that I was the one asked to lead. I can't express in words what the spirit was like in that room. Not a dry eye. The youth physicaly looked different. I finally had to just start mouthing the words I was so emotional. with tears streaming down my face I just took it in. It was incredible. I will NEVER forget that moment.
My family and I were there for the very first time 2 weeks ago. I left with a stronger testimony of the restoration and whole new appreciation for what the Prophet Joseph Smith brought to pass and all of the sacrifices the pioneers made. I took the tour 3 times and I couldn't have enough of it. I just wanted to sit by the bench outside all day just to admire and try to wrap my head around to contemplate the living testimony of God's might and solemnly remember the pioneers. After our visit there, I have returned home with a deeper resolution and determination to tirelesly keep working in my calling and testify of this gospel with more conviction than ever in my life. Thank you, pioneers. My testimony is stronger because of your legacy. I will recommend everyone to make the sacrifice to go visit the Kirtland temple. Driving 6 hours from Ontario, Canada, was a small price to pay, compared to what the pioneers did.
Pres. Nelson tells us we can expect 7 promises we can expect also that come from those 7 attributes. Thank you for going through this. In 2021 we started doing virtual tours of the historical sites - Priesthood Restoration Site (6 Priesthood Restoration), Hill Cumorah, Sacred Grove & Smith Farm, J. Smith Birthplace (Sharon, VT), Winter Quarters. At the time most of these sites (if not all) were closed to the public but missionaries were doing guided virtual tours. We had some very spiritual experiences, even the missionaries were overcome and couldn't explain it, and it seemed strange through "virtual" but it was very real. We didn't have access to Kirtland even through virtual then. But when I was in Seminary, I had an experience that connected my heart to the Red Brick Store, and I have had an interest in going there someday since then. And all these recent events, including some of these videos you are sharing, along with how we felt during those virtual visits just really has my heart stirred again. I am trying to learn more about Kirtland, temples, and also just trying to truly learn to live Charity more and gain these 7 attributes as part of my own character. Our own soul, body and spirit combined, is a temple -- and I hope I will be able to put off the natural man so that I can have a soul presentable filled with these attributes of Celestial glory.
Check out Mr Kirtland on Rod Meldroms channel Book of Mormon evidences. He is so knowledgeable that he took the prophet and apostles on a tour of Portland! I can't imagine what that kind of responsibility that would feel like
My husband‘s ancestor Thomas Grover, who also was a bodyguard to Joseph Smith. He’s also mentioned in the D and C. he sold his farm and gave the prophet $1500 to help build the Kirtland temple when Joseph Smith said I’ll pay you back. Thomas Grover said no
At the funeral for my wife, the song I wanted sung, was "The Spirit of God". It will be 4 years this June. Still feel the emotion of that hymn. I love our Lord I love our Apostiles Wish I could read the Scriptures... had help with this note. Love you.

Jared, thank you so much for studying this great Blessing with us, your watchers, this community that you have built! I'm eternally grateful to you and Jennica for providing a brother and sister in The Lord to me and so many others! I'm mostly alone in my home and family, and extended family in following Jesus. So it helps me immensely to have your channel here on youtube!!! Thank you again!!! Katie 🙏💖🥰
I forgot that I wanted to share with you that President Nelson talked about The Lord manifesting Himself to us in the temple in his talk at General Conference, you'll remember he said: During this visitation, the Lord affirmed His identity. He said, “I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father.” Jesus Christ then declared that He had accepted the temple as His house and made this stunning promise: “I will manifest myself to my people in mercy in this house.” This significant promise applies to every dedicated temple today. I invite you to ponder what the Lord’s promise means for you personally.
My family visited Kirtland in October 2022. Such a neat experience. When we were at the visitors center it was interesting to see familiar things but yet not feel the Spirit. Right before they brought us to the temple they would give us a presentation at the visitors center and at the end of the presentation they played “The Spirit of God” and would open curtains to reveal the temple. That is the only time during the presentation that you could feel the Spirit. It was a good learning experience with my older children who could tell the difference. I hope my family can visit Kirtland soon now that the church owns it.
We had that same experience when I was chaperoning a church history trip, though we did not get that same tour. We had 100 people. We felt the Spirit while we sang The Spirit of God, but that was it. Some of the teenagers were confused about what happened to stop the outflow of the Holy Ghost, because we had recently visited Liberty Jail, the sacred Grove, the Smith family home, etc; (dedicated holy sites with set apart missionaries teaching and testifying), and felt the Spirit at all those places, but not at the temple except during our song. The tour guides were making semi-irreverent jokes that weren’t in keeping with the special place. The difference was striking.
Yes, I attended the Kirkland Temple about 1996 or so, attending with a bus tour from Ricks College -- 17 days back to Washington DC Temple, with my daughter and my Mom. The Restored church owned the building, and in that room we sang "The Spirit of God". I actually did NOT feel the Holy Ghost while I was in that Temple except when we were singing that song. It was tremendously moving! :)
Thanks for doing this series, Jared. Knowing section 109 was given by revelation adds immense power to its words. They are what the Lord wanted Joseph to pray for, so they are the blessings He wants to give.
President Nelson quoted the 7 "house of..." parts of D&C 109. Interestingly, however, is that Joseph Smith in D&C 109 is referring to the Lord's original commandment to build the house given in D&C 88:119. This is an AMAZING section all about the Second Coming. After verse 119 the Lord gives a few more important instructions and ends that part of the section with verse 126: 126 Pray always, that ye may not faint, until I come. Behold, and lo, I will come quickly, and receive you unto myself. Amen. Perhaps that sheds more light on Elder Holland's talk and its urgent need. And perhaps President Nelson is trying to get us to see more clearly as well :) #Flood Also, I shared a Book of Mormon. Great experience.

Sounds like we should be looking to the second day of Passover ( +/- ) (15 days after conference 2x7) and maybe even at the same location. ❤ Since it appears to me that the said temple, very recently purchased, could have been procured JUST IN TIME.😇
Thank you for this post. It cleared up a few things for me. I have had some spiritual experiences regarding the Lord in my home and in the temple. He is in his temple but he is also in our home if our home is built upon the same principles of coming to Christ and inviting the Spirit into our home on a daily basis. We can have wonderful manifestations through the Holy Spirit.

Singing the Spirit of God was part of the tour previous to the Church purchasing it. We went in 2017 and our tour guide asked if any of us played piano and would played The Spirit of God while we sang. I got to be the one who played. Very very cool experience.
When we visited the Kirtland temple this summer they said they fit as many people as possible inside for the dedication then opened the windows and let the huge crowd outside hear. Could you imagine the singing inside and outside the temple? What a sight
I toured the Kirtland Temple in 2022 and we sang Spirit of God as part of the tour. Also, my understanding is the original Kirtland Temple had a blue sparkle exterior because of the ground up glass used for the stucco, red roof, and green door.
The Jews always leave an empty seat at the passover table for Elijah to return. He did return during Passover! The 15th of Nissan in the Christian year coincides with the first and second of April.
Thanks for making this a series. There's SO much to cover, as you well know. I appreciate the bite sized pieces so that I can do more than listen, but absorb the information. Give Jenica my love!
Yes it was part of the tour from community not Christ back in 1977 I went through it and they played the Spirit of God and it was twice as fast as we sing it…I wasn’t a member yet but had gone to church and heard it and had forgotten since I wasn’t a member that we didn’t own the temple…

Used to live in the Kirtland stake. Pretty sure it was common to sing "The Spirit of God" on the tours or maybe it was just an invitation and we accepted.
I don't know if you mentioned it but they also sang Now Let Us Rejoice. The question is which tune for which song? They are interchangeable and there is not a record of which tune was used since hymnbooks were not published with music. They would say "we are going to sing such and such to this tune.
This was awesome . Actuallyi just don't have the words to express what I felt through thus video. Thank you . I just love and appreciate your sweet spirit.
Thank you! I've been trying to study this as the prophet said, and after reading it through several times thoughtfully I wasn't sure how best to continue. I love this guided study! You're awesome!

I get it. I've had tribulations, and still do, that feel like they will swallow me up. I've had dark times. The phrase for 'Hello' in the Tongan language is 'Malo e leilei'. If it was translated literally it would be something like 'Thanks for being good'. Sometimes it is the meaning that is translated, not the literal words.
No. When you take the tour, the missionaries tell you that as far as the church is concerned the original dedication still stands (even though the temple was in possession of various parties). 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
As an operating temple, like the other 350? No, the Church already said no. There's already a temple being built in Cleveland 35 miles away, and an announced temple for Cincinnati, and an operating Temple in Columbus. There aren't enough active, temple recommend holding members of the church in the Kirtland area to justify it becoming a temple like the others. Not to mention that the building isn't configured for standard temple operations. So no, it won't be a dedicated temple for temple work as we understand it today. Church can change its mind in a distant future, but it will require a large influx of faithful temple recommend holding saints living in the area to justify turning it into an operating temple.
Great job Daniel! You hit the channel goal of 10! I have you updated for a total of 15. Keep up the great work and shoot for 20. Thank you! #FloodtheEarth 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
When my parents visited the Kirtland temple in the 90's for a special Relief Society event (Ann Arbor, Michigan Stake), they were told the 3rd floor was condemmed and were not able to go up there.
Ever since conference and when they were talking about the Kirtland Temple and what happened there, I can't get Malachi 3:1 out of my head. I'm not saying that event was the fulfillment of that prophecy, but it's still stuck in my mind.

Hosanna translates as save us. It seems as though it's used as a greeting or praise. This is confusing to me.
I get it. I've had tribulations, and still do, that feel like they will swallow me up. I've had dark times. These are all related to my child's health and the constant struggle she has to live through. I've felt so broken by unrelenting "waves" from this trial that I knew not what to pray for other than "help us. Save us. Help us...."
The phrase for 'Hello' in the Tongan language is 'Malo e leilei'. If it was translated literally it would be something like 'Thanks for being good'. Sometimes it is the meaning that is translated, not the literal words.
It’s a reminder that God saves and praise to Him. It’s like “God Saves us.” And it’s a reminder to pray for protection.

It is still considered dedicated
No. When you take the tour, the missionaries tell you that as far as the church is concerned the original dedication still stands (even though the temple was in possession of various parties). 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

@@jeffah3103 thanks. I knew it wouldn't be a temple like others. I thought maybe there would be something special done now that it's ours (LDS).

When my parents visited the Kirtland temple in the 90's for a special Relief Society event (Ann Arbor, Michigan Stake), they were told the 3rd floor was condemmed and were not able to go up there.
Thank you for deep diving into this - it helps in my personal study so much!
#flood I give you at least 2 Book of Mormons a month, I'm giving one to a friend tomorrow...!!
Great! Let me know when you do! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Ever since conference and when they were talking about the Kirtland Temple and what happened there, I can't get Malachi 3:1 out of my head.
I'm not saying that event was the fulfillment of that prophecy, but it's still stuck in my mind.
