I think Gordon is in the same vein as bourdain, in that he is as equally interested in the history and the culture as he is the food.

And he echos anyone that has that passion, that's why he's so great with kids.
Adversely, it's why he gets such a bad rap with his anger.
He hates people who think they know everything and who aren't willing to learn something new or be taught. The prime example being adults who fuck up but don't admit it or won't correct themselves

I know a good spot on Maui , I picked it in the 90s. Pretty dangerous spot. But with a buddy it's not too bad.

What makes Ramsey so fuckin cool and elite is the fact that In order to genuinely be on the same level as him will take you minimum 15years. To perfect the cooking part, understanding the culture, preparing and knowing temps/textures/scents, hunting, and traveling… this shit takes TIMEEE!
