I'm thinking of using one of the Browning stretch 7 18+ which is 3.1mm. How do I know if I need to cut it down? Thank you so much for your help.

Hello Ben what a bargain for the money first thing I'd do is chop a foot off the topkits get rid of a bit of the bounce stiffen the pole up a treat at last from Wednesday we Can go fishing I'll certainly be going so tight lines every body who goes any time this week stay safe son
I fish a natural venue and a couple of pegs are called suicide alley I've broke two poles that were so called carp poles with 20 elastic any recommendations by the way my elastic wasn't too tight

I think its 4.8mm but I cut one down to 5.4mm

Depends on price. Best for me is Map 1001 3g or Preston response

10 to 12 hollow for open water 14 to 16 for paste open water or less snaggy margins 16 to 18 snaggy margins

Yes also they sell the extension to take it to 10m as well

They are longer top kits there longer than my pro type ones
