Love this channel. I’m not sure if you’re a fan of Final Fantasy but I’m currently trying to get the Rebirth platinum and it’s extremely difficult. Would make for a great video if you took that challenge on. Cheers
Thank you. Yep, I'm a fan. Played a bunch of X and XII. Also interested in XVI. I'm waiting for them to finish the full VII remake before diving in. X is probably going to get an episode in the coming years.
Can’t but love you bro. Don’t disrespect that sekiro plat. Jeeeeez that’s a hard one. Possibly my favourite channel, keep it going g lad. Would love a beer with you lad. You’ve a commitment with some games that I can’t deal with. Top man
The Batman: Arkham Asylum video is a special one to me. It was one of the first videos of yours I watched. I was going for the platinum at the time, and I watched that video countless times in the process to keep me inspired, and to not lose hope on those challenge rooms. I love that segment in it where you're playing really late at night, and you have those shots of the night sky timelapse. The Vice City episode sticks out to me as well, not only because I love VC, but because watching it was my last ever memory of the PlayStation 4. You released the video on the same day I got my PlayStation 5. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us for all these years!
Cool to hear Batman was one of my first videos you watched. Delighted I could inspire you. That sky timelapse was something new I wanted to try, so happy you liked that part. Wow, what cool timing for the Vice City episode. I'm honoured you've joined me on my adventures over the years. Here is to many more to come!
10 years! its so cool to see how you evolved throughout the years, not only on understanding what kind of editing goes with each kind of game but also the script, the cinematics and music choices to set a mood, this is to me what differentiates you from other trophy hunter youtubers, it feels so refreshing! here's to many, many more years of Platinum Journey to come!
on another note, have you ever thought about doing a platinum journey for the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games? they're such amazing games with touching story while having some of the funniest and also grindiest side stuff lol, if not, I highly recommend at least playing them for yourself!
Thank you. Glad you appreciate the effort. Each episode is a labour of love and is tailored to the game I'm covering. As for your question, I've played a bit of Yakuza Zero but kind of lost interest unfortunately. The trophy lists look a bit insane, can't say they will be getting episodes.
@AdamMcDermott I understand, I wouldn't say it's necessarily hard, but there's so much that you gotta do, so many minigames, including Japanese gambling games that you do need to learn, not to mention the other miscellaneous stuff that counts for completion, even me who absolutely love these games have my moments of "do I wanna proceed with this?" lol, but they are amazing games, their story, characters are all amazing!
Hey, Dead Rising Guy here again, wanted to tell you its been such an awesome journey with you man! Love your vids still! Really more than anything hoping you play Dead Rising eventually, but I will happily continue to wait with all of this amazing work to hold me over! Cheers!
Glad to see you doing so well. Enjoying the journeys and rewatching the old stuff frequently. Still holding you on the coffee offer in florence! Just finished Miles Morales, such a chill game. I skip able cutscenes suck though. Resident evil 3 remake wasn’t hard, I remember you struggled on the last boss but surprisingly it took me only 4 tries. Finished it in 15 hours or so. Keep it up Adam!

Great video. You are such a humble guy Adam. ❤ You inspired me to platinum Doom 2016. And then I went for it alone in Doom Eternal. I can really recommend it. The only thing thats grindy is the multiplayer trophies but if you got a friend you can get all of them in a few hours. Doom Slayer needs you 🤪 🇸🇪

Awesome video Adam and congratulations on doing 10 years of platum journey and can't wait to see your next lot even elden ring and next year metal gear soild 1 as u going to love it
Shovel Knight was mainly hard because you likely didn’t have experience playing 2-D platformers. It’s moderately difficult at best, especially the Boss Rush portion on New Game Plus where you really have to learn the boss patterns. Judging your experience, you said yourself you weren’t going to do any more games like Shovel Knight, as you confirmed in your platinum journey video. Great list. Really enjoyed watching this.
Yeah, I think you are right. I'm not used to those 2D platformers. Similar to me being terrible at shooters making Modern Warfare really tough for me. Cheers. Thanks for watching.
Interesting to hear about all your thoughts on those lists and particularly the episodes. Might need to rewatch them with your ranking in mind to see if I agree, because having only watched most of them once I can't recall specifics. It's funny because I seem to have a very different "taste" regarding trophy lists. I find stuff like Rift Apart or Spider-Man preeetty boring, but I loved stuff like Bioshock, DMC, Batman or MGS2. I just love struggling, getting good at the game and having a big sense of accomplishment. Stuff like R&C is such an easy time that it doesn't feel like you really achieved something. But I get why some would like to not go out of their way to do hard stuff and just have a fun time :) Difficulty I do agree with overall. Didn't have that much of a hard time with Shovel Knight myself, but it is fairly challenging. Haven't bothered with CoD though, not a huge fan.
That is an interesting way to revisit episode knowing how I feel about them, can see if you agree or disagree. I can understand. I wouldn't recommend hard trophy lists for everyone, but I also like the occasional challenge. Hence, doing those more difficult episodes :)
Hell yeah man, that's a milestone homie. Hope you're proud of that, watching this now. Happy 10th bro. I really like how you did a few lists. Is last of us part 1 coming along nice?
Thank you very much and thank you for sticking around for so many of those years. The Last of Us Part I is coming along well. Just about finished my Grounded playthrough and will do another playthrough on easy for cleanup - damn shiv doors - as well as messing with skins. I'm so looking forward to writing and editing the episode.
@@AdamMcDermott I appreciate that man. I am also doing the last of us part 1, I think you doing it wanted me to do it as well. Glad it is coming along nicely for you, can't wait to see that grounded experience again and see how everything unfolded. And oh yeah, those shiv doors lmao. Thankfully everything carries over though

MGS4 is a good entry point to Platinum Journey, quite happy with that episode. I'm honoured I inspired you. MGS1 and MGS3 Delta first, then we'll see :)
Happy 10 years to Platinum Journey!! The first episode I ever saw was the Arkham Asylum episode back in 2020, a few years after it released, and I’ve watched every episode before and since. Favourite episode has to be MGS4. Hands down my favourite series on UA-cam! Heres to another 10 years 🥂
Cool to hear what was your first episode. The Batman one is a good one. MGS4 is one I'm so proud of. Everything came together so well for it. I'm delighted Platinum Journey is your favourite series on UA-cam. Cheers!
Your Bioshock Infinite journey helped me beat Lady painstock. Loved it and laughed a lot. Also you motivated me to do a proper survivor run on BS1 instead of using the glitch and it was much more enjoyable. You should try the mass effect saga
Glad I could help. Yeah, Survivor on Bioshock is the way to go. Goes well with the setting. I keep meaning to get around to Mass Effect but find it hard to connect to the non-human characters.
Adam its mad the episodes you think are the worst are the episodes which actually made me buy and play the games, bioshock infinite, psychonaughts, god of war 3! a gem to watch, looking forward to the next episode
I agree Modern Warfare 1&2 was a nightmare😂especially the first one drove me insane.I obtained the platinum at like 2 am in the morning and I almost screamed out of relief 😆
I got the platinum for both CoD MW and MW2. I don't have the platinum for MGS3 for a reason, maybe the vol. 1 version is different, but definitely impossible level of difficulty.
I'm trying to platinum MGSV right now. It's a grind, and some missions are really frustrating (the missions where you need to listen to conversations and HOPE that the NPCs don't bug...) but I'm having a lot of fun.
I'm also trying to get the MGSV platinum! Took a brake a few days ago though, and got the platinum for Metro 2033, and decided to go for Last Light as well. Can I invade you FOB? 😈😈
A classic. It was the first episode which tested me. Opened up so many difficult platinums for potential episodes. If the Dead Space 2 episode didn't turn out as well as it did, there might never have been a Metal Gear Solid 2 or 4 episode.
Arkham Asylum is a c tier for me, videos for collectibles and challenge rooms of course, for challenge rooms you can follow along with a video and how to beat it, very easy plat in my opinion however I can understand how there may be issues, I’d like to see you platinum Arkham City and Arkham Knight
That's fair. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses in games. Glad you didn't suffer as much as me. The open world collectibles are a big turnoff for City and Knight for me unfortunately. So much Riddler stuff.
10 years of trophy hunting that's awesome my friend Best Trophy List for me Ghost of Tsushima Marvel's Spider Man Marvel's Spider Man Miles Morales Easiest Trophy List for me Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart South Park The Stick of Truth Hardest for me Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus Mein leben mode is nerve racking Alien Isolation cuz of Hard mode and no deaths I did it all in one playthrough, it was challenging. Dead Space Remake Impossible mode was a bit challenging Keep it up Adam cheers 🥂🥂
When you said this game gets a big Fat D and looked into the camera, it genuinely reminded me of something from The Office, what a great joke honestly, made my day.
Uncharted 4 no cheat plat? Did you take it to C because it'S CRUSHING? It was one of the hardest thing I did, I opened cheats at the shipwreck level :D great vid mate
Haha, if only. Knowing you can enable cheats made me bump it down. I was close to enabling cheats in the shipyard too. That part is so rough. Cheers. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Modern Warfare 2 episode was better than a B (for entertainment value). The fun episodes are the ones where you struggle and have a personal story to go along with the game. I've never been so entertained watching a man do a tutorial. The episodes that showcase a game's cutscenes and bosses aren't as interesting, unless I like the story and characters (which I usually don't - it's the game's fault, not yours). For example, Metal Gear Solid 3 was fun for me, but I've never played and have no interest in The Witcher, so that one passed me by.
Haha, glad you enjoyed the MW2 episode so much. Fun way of putting it, "I've never been so entertained watching a man do a tutorial." I can understand that. Each game has its own merits, I tend to focus on what interests me the most about it. Sometimes it is the characters, story or world, sometimes it is man vs. game. Having a bit of variety is nice. If I was bashing my head against the wall for every episode it would be repetitive.
Modern Warfare OG. Mile High Club achievement. I was 24 when I got that achievement and I'm now 41. I have vowed one day to try it again but not sure I need further hair loss and wrinkles.
Haha, don't blame you not wanting to do it again. I played a bit of World at War for fun, but heard about the endless grenade spam on Veteran. No thank you :)
I Just got the Platinum for South Park Stick of Truth on PS3 Making it Platinum #51, Trust me, I had to Follow a Guide because this Platinum is a Missable Nightmare. I’m not Kidding when I say this but I missed a Chinpokemon in a Story Quest as I was doing the Clean up after the Final Boss and Already did the Side Quests for Mr Hankey Aka the Christmas Poo , The Mayor of South Park, & Uncle Jimbo and I also Made sure to Obtain Every Outfits and Weapons for the Trophy. After those I had to Reload my Save from The Final Level of the Game for that Chinpokemon I Missed and Thankfully it was the Last Level of the game because if it was Somewhere Else, Even all the way back to the Beginning, I would Be Mad because that Last Chinpokemon would’ve changed Everything (for Both Trophies for Finding all Chinpokemons & Having 120 Friends) if I had just gotten it before the Final Boss, I would Never have to reload my Save from Clyde's Fortress. Again, This Platinum Is A Missable Nightmare, “Taken from itsllusion”
Even though call of duty are “just shooters”, I’ve been playing them since I was little and I STILL struggled through them. As well as having to complete them on veteran... So I agree with putting the COD games in S tier
I platinumed the last of us part 2 on ps5 recently it was number 70. I thought I was over the trauma that game caused me. I dropped the game for 2 months after the first playthrough.
I know you’re probably busy on another game right now trying to platinum but whenever you have a chance, could you please try to platinum a assassin’s Creed game?
I'm afraid not. The only Assassin's Creed game that interests me is Black Flag, which I've played through. The trophy lists are a bit dull unfortunately.
The one thing in Psychonauts that’s really difficult for me is the punching minigame. Even after almost a decade of trying just can’t get the timing down. It’s especially bothersome because it’s the only thing that’s preventing me from getting the Platinum. Tried it both on PS4 AND PS5 and still nothing.
That bit is annoying. I found learning the pattern to be a good strategy, know where they are going to appear and prepare myself. Still takes a bit of luck though because the strikes aren't always accurate.
I think my favourite episode is The last of us. I watched it like 4 or 5 times. I loved the platinum for that game and sometimes i come back and watch the platinum journey to relive the highs and lows of doing the platinum. I will platinum The last of us Part I at sometime, but it's way easier and i think it will not be so rewarding.😁
I probably would have put bloodbornes trophy list a bit higher. Yeah the chalice dungeons are a pain but there is a chalice glyph that lets you skip them all and just do the last one. Wish I knew that though. But I’m probably biased since it’s my favourite game.
Yes indeed. We are all meeting again in September. Not sure if there will be any videos from it - hard to bring so much video equipment with us, but we'll take some pictures at least.
What’s your Favorite & The Most Proudest Platinum you gotten? Mine is Spiderman Miles Morales but I give it to Resident Evil 3 for being the Shortest easiest platinum this game has to offer especially I got it in 3 days back in December 2021 5 days before 2022. Also My most Proudest Platinum of All Time is The Evil Within and it stays there because I won’t do any other Games that have a 9/10 and above in terms of difficulty and when it requires 100+ hrs of grinding for the Platinum. My Hardest Platinums I Earned 1. The Evil Within, " All Because of the Dreaded Akumu Mode Where Every Single Enemy 1-Hit Kills You" 2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2, "It was a Grind, Leveling up to 100, Landing the Hard-Get Theres & All Gaps in all Maps 3.South Park Stick of Truth, "It was a Missable Nightmare!!!!!" 4.Resident Evil 4 Remake, "It was Challenging Because of Getting A S+ Rank on Professional" I cried When I Died During the Jet Ski Section While Going for The S+ On Professional and Have to Start Chapter 15 All Over Again Because thats Where I made my Last & Final Save. 5. Batman Arkham Asylum, "Very Very Though Because of the Combat Challenges"
Favourite, probably Dead Space. I've gotten the platinum twice and still enjoy playing it. Proudest is probably Metal Gear Solid 2, some of those VR missions literally felt impossible. That is a good list you have. Lot of excellent games on it.
You only have to beat a mission without taking damage. One of the early missions is quite short and not too bad. The hardest difficulty can kick your ass though.
I tried playing it a couple of times years ago but wasn't good enough to beat it. It might make for a cool episode, but no guarantee. My plate is stacked. So many great games, can't cover them all.
Defo should play horizon forbidden west! Great game and i enjoyed it more than the first horizon game. Was a big surprise for me and one of my favourite games i got the plat for last year
I'll cover MGS1 and MGS3 Delta and then I'll see. No guarantees. I do like making the MGS videos, but already had played MGSV for fun for over a hundred hours. All I had left to do were the dull stuff.
Have you considered platinuming Metal Gear Solid 1? The game is very easy compared to the others. The only thing that stopped me from platinum was speedrun (5 hours) or VR Missions. Which are supposedly much easier than those in MGS2.

Top man
Cheers. Yeah, Sekiro is a tough one, satisfying though.
I'm honoured to be possibly your favourite channel. A beer is always a good idea :)
Hopefully that beer you two have together is possibly delicious😆
@@mikenolin8747 I'm sure it will be :)
Cheers!
Hey, thank you so much for sticking around. Dead Rising is highly unlikely at this point unfortunately. Too many games to cover, packed schedule.

Just finished Miles Morales, such a chill game. I skip able cutscenes suck though. Resident evil 3 remake wasn’t hard, I remember you struggled on the last boss but surprisingly it took me only 4 tries. Finished it in 15 hours or so.

Congrats on 10 amazing years buddy!!
Thank you very much. See you in a couple of months :)

here's to 10 more years! Excited for the future Platinum Journey on TLOU Remastered Remake HD on the PS8.
It was nice for me to make too.

10 years! Congratulations mate. 10 more to come!
Thank you. Yes, many more years to come.
Amazing! Your videos are the only ones I have the notifications set to “Notify all” and as soon as I get a notification I run to UA-cam to watch it. I believe you’re too hard on yourself when It comes to your own videos. I love them all. They’re all top tier level in my opinion. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. That’s insane. But it definitely has been a wonderful Journey. Thank you and can’t wait for more. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

Great video. You are such a humble guy Adam. ❤ You inspired me to platinum Doom 2016. And then I went for it alone in Doom Eternal. I can really recommend it. Thank you and thanks for sticking around for so many years. The future is bright, so many cool games to cover.
@@AdamMcDermott I’ll share a pint 🍺
But I get why some would like to not go out of their way to do hard stuff and just have a fun time :)
Difficulty I do agree with overall.
Congratulations on ten years. Best UA-camr there is
That is very nice of you. Thank you!

Hell yeah man, that's a milestone homie. Hope you're proud of that, watching this now. Happy 10th bro. I really like how you did a few lists. Is last of us part 1 coming along nice?

The Last of Us Part I is coming along well. Just about finished my Grounded playthrough and will do another playthrough on easy for cleanup - damn shiv doors - as well as messing with skins.
I'm so looking forward to writing and editing the episode.
@@AdamMcDermott I appreciate that man. I am also doing the last of us part 1, I think you doing it wanted me to do it as well. I went through the left behind dlc and got everything, and hoping to pop everything to where my last trophy is for completing the story. I already missed a conversation in Bill's Town 🤣🙃.

I got the platinum for both CoD MW and MW2. I don't have the platinum for MGS3 for a reason, maybe the vol. 1 version is different, but definitely impossible level of difficulty.

@@AdamMcDermott Those VR Missions can go straight to hell, especially those final missions with MGS1 Snake.
@@Arrowz_88 I fully agree. Never again!
I'm trying to platinum MGSV right now. It's a grind, and some missions are really frustrating (the missions where you need to listen to conversations and HOPE that the NPCs don't bug...) but I'm having a lot of fun.

Dead Space 2 will always be my favourite. Felt like the first episode where you really tested yourself!
A classic. It was the first episode which tested me. Opened up so many difficult platinums for potential episodes. If the Dead Space 2 episode didn't turn out as well as it did, there might never have been a Metal Gear Solid 2 or 4 episode.

God of War 2 doesn’t have the difficulty but God of War 3 you have to play on the hardest difficulty but can cheat it with God mode.
Ah, thank you for the clarification
Arkham Asylum is a c tier for me, videos for collectibles and challenge rooms of course, for challenge rooms you can follow along with a video and how to beat it, very easy plat in my opinion however I can understand how there may be issues, I’d like to see you platinum Arkham City and Arkham Knight
That's fair. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses in games. Glad you didn't suffer as much as me.
The open world collectibles are a big turnoff for City and Knight for me unfortunately. So much Riddler stuff.
10 years of trophy hunting that's awesome my friend
Best Trophy List for me
Ghost of Tsushima
Marvel's Spider Man
Marvel's Spider Man Miles Morales
Easiest Trophy List for me
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
South Park The Stick of Truth
Hardest for me
Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus
Mein leben mode is nerve racking
Alien Isolation cuz of Hard mode and no deaths I did it all in one playthrough, it was challenging.
Dead Space Remake
Impossible mode was a bit challenging
Keep it up Adam cheers 🥂🥂
Perfect breakdown of your own tiers. Nice to read.

When you said this game gets a big Fat D and looked into the camera, it genuinely reminded me of something from The Office, what a great joke honestly, made my day.
Haha, as a big fan of The Office, thank you!
My main man Adam!
My first video i watched you in was in dead space and iv watched you ever since
Always cool to hear how someone found my channel. I like that episode a lot.
Fun way of putting it, "I've never been so entertained watching a man do a tutorial."
I can understand that.
Also - has World at War never tempted a run? Made Mile High a walk in the park in my eyes. (Veteran grenade spam mode)
Oof, that is a rough
As someone who also did Uncharted 4’s Crushing without any cheats, I can confirm the Ship Graveyard level is pure absurdity😅
Haha, we know each other's pain
Even though call of duty are “just shooters”, I’ve been playing them since I was little and I STILL struggled through them. As well as having to complete them on veteran... So I agree with putting the COD games in S tier
Ah, cheers. Glad you agree with me. I know for some folks, Call of Duty is much easier. They kind of kick my ass.
I think resident evil 1 was an amazing episode in particular. I rewatch it often
Thank you. I'm quite proud of that episode.
I believe I've been here since Dead Space 2... And man, what a journey🍻
Thank you so much for sticking around for so long :)
Cool to hear that is your favourite. I have a soft spot for it.
I probably would have put bloodbornes trophy list a bit higher. Yeah the chalice dungeons are a pain but there is a chalice glyph that lets you skip them all and just do the last one. Wish I knew that though. But I’m probably biased since it’s my favourite game.
Ah, didn't know about the chalice dungeon skip. Good game to be your favourite.
Doubt you can tell us but do you have any plans to meet up with the plat gang again in the future
My Hardest Platinums I Earned
1. The Evil Within, " All Because of the Dreaded Akumu Mode Where Every Single Enemy 1-Hit Kills You"
2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2, "It was a Grind, Leveling up to 100, Landing the Hard-Get Theres & All Gaps in all Maps
3.South Park Stick of Truth, "It was a Missable Nightmare!!!!!"
4.Resident Evil 4 Remake, "It was Challenging Because of Getting A S+ Rank on Professional" I cried When I Died During the Jet Ski Section While Going for The S+ On Professional and Have to Start Chapter 15 All Over Again Because thats Where I made my Last & Final Save.
Stellar Blade was my 69th platinum lol
you can run...you can hide...but Arkham city will find you Adam!
Haha, I think that ship has sailed. My schedule is packed for the next few years, Arkham City isn't on it I'm afraid.
@@AdamMcDermott hahaha damn! I do not blame you though, that game took me a full year to beat, either way I can't wait for your next video dude!
Devil man cry is really an s tier for difficultly because u gotta replay without deaths or something like that
You only have to beat a mission without taking damage. One of the early missions is quite short and not too bad.
The hardest difficulty can kick your ass though.
I liked Forbidden West a lot; got the platinum, but I didn’t even finish Ragnarok.
Yikes, it is surprising how many folks didn't like Ragnarok

Don't you worry, there will be many more years ahead!
Any chance of MGSV platinum with delta coming out probably in 2025?! Loved the other MGS videos
I'll cover MGS1 and MGS3 Delta and then I'll see. No guarantees.
I do like making the MGS videos, but already had played MGSV for fun for over a hundred hours. All I had left to do were the dull stuff.
South Park stick of truth has all those missable trophies it’s pain! Fractured but whole is amazing trophy list tho
Ah, forgot about the missable trophies in The Stick of Truth
Have you considered platinuming Metal Gear Solid 1? The game is very easy compared to the others. The only thing that stopped me from platinum was speedrun (5 hours) or VR Missions. Which are supposedly much easier than those in MGS2.
Yep, I'll be doing an episode on it next year. Never played it before so am especially excited.
