As a motorcycle rider I have listened to your guidance on many occasions, and have found it valuable. As I listen to you now I have deepened respect for you as a person. Although I am not religious, as a citizen of the world, I have a deep empathy for my fellow humans and strive to be contributor. I think we can join hands in our effort to humble ourselves, and to strive to understand those with whom we have differences.

He speaks to Americans solely using Christianity as the only vehicle. I’m atheist too and such speech although preaching peace, speaks of exclusivity of Christian’s in America. In that it sounds a lot like Christian nationalism.
The more I hear stuff like this in the modern day, the more I think that all these isms are the same and well past their best by date.

Freshly coming out of an election our selves, here in South Africa, it is heart warming to hear these words of wisdom.
Our church did a week of prayer, for the coming election, which has passed since, for a change for the better and for healing.
As always, politians premised the moon and the stars, even those who are openly corrupt, promised that together we can make things better. I can't even start to comprehend what type of mind thinks like that.
However, as usual, and kind of unexpectedly, things did change, but not as we expected.
Bless God the the ruling party did not get majority votes, however, the one party that said let's save S.A., are singing a different tune now. What a surprise ..
My point i want to make is, i have learned that when you pray, pray with Believe, trust in what you pray. God, who hears your prayer, will now the way of the heart, from where the prayer is coming .
ALSO, even though God hears our prayers, God moves in His own way, which is not our way, and therefor we should TRUST in God's way even tough things are not going the way you want them to. God knows best. Just TRUST Him. Don't doubt Him.
So i will belief and trust in God to heal our country, and i pray the same for your country.

That is the most credible moral commentary I’ve heard in many many years. I couldn’t have said it better myself thank you. I have fallen away from Christianity due to its moral hypocrisy on certain matters regarding sexuality and strict dogma based on nonsense, but the fact remains it, and similar religions to it, are still the strongest institutions of the most basic common law of nature, which is that respect, understanding, forgiveness and compassion are what make life worth living and hatred and judgment is what makes life unbearable. The manipulative powers that purposefully destroy community are quickly driving this species to extinction. While pretending to care and lobbying for things like gun control, they ignore the psychological foundations of the suffering that is driving so many people insane.

I have respect for your knowledge, experience and expertise on the subject of motorcycle safety and that's why it took me a few hours to respond. First, you seem to be a thoughtful, decent person who has served his country and community well. As a fellow Veteran and First Responder, I appreciate that. We should be outraged by the dozens of mass shootings that occur in our nation weekly, the biggest difference is that unlike the former president who had a security detail to protect him, the man who died near him did not, the countless victims of shootings across the country also weren't afforded protection. Thoughtless political motivated violent rhetoric caused people their lives in the Jan 6 insurrection attempt and creates an environment where people feel comfortable issuing dearh threats to fellow Americans who are simply doing their job or expressing opinions that may be different than theirs. Being selfless, kind, dutyful and spiritual are not Christian virtues, they're human virtues. We should strive to be good human beings. I'll leave you with this, over on Trump's website they are selling $299 "Assassination attempt commemorative gold sneakers". Take a few minutes to reflect on that.

Seraphim of Sarov said, "Acquire a peaceful spirit, and thousands around you will be saved." I now know what it was. You project an inner peace which comes from your acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior. I will join you in praying for Mr. Trump, the other injured, the spectator who was murdered, critics of Trump and his supporters, and the soul of the shooter.

Well, you say that your hatred was aimed at politicians and people who demonise their political opponents. I hope that your anger is directed at these politicians regardless of their party, you don't say so. So many people think that it's the other side who are to blame. Look at the statements from politicians after the event. Which ones called for peace and understanding, and which ones called for retribution, hatred and division?
