When I first moved to Korea I thought cold noodles is a crazy idea and a big no. But now I i love it. Bibim Naengmyeon is my fav between the two 🤤🤤
Hehe Yes, we never know until we try it! 😂 So glad it could be your new favorite!👍
Me too but then I tried it and it is awesome specially when the weather is hot
I like to add kimchi juice in the sauce and also some chunks of kimchi too. Aaron trust me it tastes sooo good.
Sounds like delicious! 😍
My American grandmother always had a bowl of what she called "refrigerator pickles" in the summer. The pickling liquid was exactly your recipe, Aaron! She had sliced cucumber, sweet peppers, sliced onion, and then whatever was fresh. Blanched greens, radishes, carrots.. She'd serve a big spoonful on a couple of lettuce leaves every dinner. So yummy!
I always look forward to Friday mornings to see the sweet faces of Aaron & Claire🥰 and of course to see what masterpiece will be made. Have a great weekend guys.♥️
Thank you for saying that bonnie!!! Have a great weekend too!! 😍
Thank you for the recipe as always!
To anyone who hasn’t had this, def try to find naengmyeon noodles. They have such an amazing texture; there’s really nothing like them.
I’ve used lots of different shredded toppings like raw onion, scallion, Anjou pears, gala apples, red radish, and micro greens. Also sesame seeds, furikake, and roasted seaweed. They all taste great so as Aaron says, just use what you have!
Awww
I love them both but prefer the soup version. I enjoy drinking the refreshing liquid along with the noodles
You really know how to enjoy it! 😍
Are you familiar wirh Subak Naengmyeon? Cold noodles tossed in a spicy sauce of rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, sesame seeds, gochujang, and gochugaru. It's served in a carved out watermelon and topped with fresh cucumbers, radish, and a boiled egg.
Thank you very much for this recipe. I've been folowing your videos and making them for my family for awhile. We adore & appreciate all your hard work.
So I followed this recipe and made it for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you they tasted amazing 😭. I’m already craving it again. I had to use an apple instead of a pear, and I was out of green onion, but these were still sooo good!!!
Awesome!!!! Glad you liked it! 😁👍
I love noodles ❤
Amazing. I had shrimp at home so I made a shrimp version. Also amazing. Thanks
Had been waiting all morning to see what new recipe you would share...looks delicious. 😊👏
Good morning! Thank you so much for waiting!! 😍 Hope you enjoy the recipe! 😎
@@AaronandClaire hi! I love how easy and quick your recipes are! I have a question regarding this recipe though. Can I substitute tashida (Korean beef stock powder) with chicken beef stock powder(also same brand dashida)?
I think Claire deserves to be cared for every single minute of every day. Get to work Aaron!!!
I love this dish i made it it is so yummy! I didnt have a grater so i threw the pear in the blender to get the juice it was amazing then i just drank the rest of leftover pear juice. Made it with somen noodles 😊 with 2 tablespoons of Gochujang and 2 of Samjang ( my spouse cant take a lot of spice) so i did a blend.
Aaron as always you never disappoint!!💙
Your sense of humor
Never disappoints 😂
You're funny and as always I love love your recipes 🧡 they always make me hangry 🤣
And Claire always shows her appreciation for the fruits of your labor! 😂
This is the best noodles to have for the summer
OMG I just made this from your cookbook this morning, though it was just the simple Spicy Cold Noodle dish and not as fancy as these ones 🤣🤣🤣What a crazy coincidence
That's probably "bibim guksu", not this one 🤣🤣🤣 so you should give this a try too! 😝
@@AaronandClaire It's been fun trying out random recipes here and there, thank you for making them easy to follow!
This is one of my favorite korean dishes and I've always wanted to make it. I hope I can cook it in the future!
This looks wonderful!
I'm so happy. Thank you guys for putting this up, it's so hot here in Texas! I just made this today and it is so freaking good! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yay!!!! So glad to hear it! 😆👍👍
Looks so tasty!!!!
Btw, I had my first taste of bingsu at an anime festival this weekend with very fresh strawberries, that was amazing! These food vendors were also at the event last year, but this year they were in the main food court and brought even more wonderful Korean food! I hope they´ll have naengmyeon next year and every year!
Omg I sooo want to try this!! 😮😮😮
Please let us know how it was! 😍
I just made it today it's sooooo good!!
My favorite.
HyungNim your videos always make me hungry, your food always looks so good 😋🤤
Yum… waiting for these delicious recipes 😀
I KNEW IT!!! 😎
If there’s a noodle dish that I can eat everyday, its this. Love the noodle texture.
It is my ultimate favorite ❤❤❤
My FAVORITE!!!!!!!!😋😊
I love both kinds! It just depends on if im feeling spicy that day or not! Why choose?
Thanks so much for doing a Naengmyeon recipe video!
I made the North Korean variant yesterday. Now I wonder where the difference is. Due to the lack of information on North Korean restaurant food, I improvised. In the end, it turned out looking very similar to the Naengmyeon in the tourist videos, but I wonder if I did everything correctly. (my dream is to have delicious recipes from every single in the world, that's why I made it in the first place xD )
The Bibim sauce tasted absolutely amazing though. Your variant looks just as good, so I'm definitely gonna it next! Keep it up!
Thanks! Please let us know how it was!! 😍
So delicious 🤤
I’ll let you know how it tastes in about 6 months time - it’s winter here in Australia now
😂❄️🌧️
Oh yeah. This looks amazing! I have a question/request - are there any fun dishes using corn-on-the-cob (maize)? One of my favorite summer dishes is elote (Mexican street food - grilled corn covered in toppings).
Love elote, too! 😍 Unfortunately, we don’t have corn-on-the-cob recipes, but we do have canned corn recipes. If these are okay, please check our ‘6 new ways to enjoy corn’ video! 🙌

Uuuuu yummmm 😋😋😋 Aaron that boil egg is boiled for how many minutes?
Coincidence! I made naengmyeon the other day but not the spicy one. I added kimchi, boiled egg, cucumber slices & slices of left over steak to mine. I love eating it with mustard. 😊
Can you do a video on Jang Jorim? Braised beef. Thanks!
I prefer to eat in Korea restaurants! To be complex for me! But it looks really delicious 😋!
Aaron make some dishes which can be stored in fridge for a bit longer time
Aaron? I trust you. 🫵🏻 🇺🇸🤝🇰🇷
How long will the sauce last in the fridge?
Hi
❤
😘
Can I use the sauce recipe to make jjolmyeon & just use different noodles & toppings? or do they have a different flavor 😅
You could try this with jjolmyeon noodles but if you’re looking for jjolmyeon recipe, you can watch our ‘15 minute cabbage recipes that will change your life’ video or click here! 😎👍

Early!
Hi Early bird! 😍
Could this one be made with some other kind of noodles or will it be kinda ruined?😇
Don't worry about it and use what you have. Still gonna be fantastic! 😍
Which is better? I always get both. 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry it's really hard to answer it 🤣
@@AaronandClaire i wish restaurants did ban ban for mul naeng and bibim naeng, like they do for jjajangmyun and jjamppong. I can never decide
Can’t agree more! 🤣
123👍
Oh bibim naengmyeon 😏
Yes! Bibim naengmyeon! 😎
Can I use japanese daikon? I can't find korean radish😢
Yes, you can. Don’t worry about it! 😁
if you're allergic to apples and you can't get the korean pear... then what fruit should you use 😅
Tough question! then... instead of fruits, just add some more sugar. It should be alright! 👍
@@AaronandClaire thank you!
Sry, I don’t like cold noodles or cold soup at all. Soup has to be boiling hot no matter what the weather is. Fruit are not expensive here, but good meat is. The bowl with noodles and all looks so good. 😋
Love your videos and making your dishes but couldn't stand watching when you changed your "persona." Seems like you went back to "normal" here and it's really appreciated. Keep it up.
so.. how is this 15min? :/ everything at same time? :/
Hi Aaron and Claire!! I absolutely love your videos, and the cookbook is one of my favorites on my bookshelf. I have a quick question - as I'm not a fan of raw onion, is it okay to omit it from recipes like this one? I don't want to completely alter the flavor, but it's not something I can tolerate well. What do you suggest @aaronandclaire ???
You will barely taste the raw onion flavor from this sauce but if you’re too worried, you can reduce it! 😊
@@AaronandClaire thanks so much, I'm definitely going to give it a try!
