As long as you are learning something from them, like this video in this case, you could categorize it as "studying" and add it to your schedule as learning material. So it's not just a massive waste of time

Great tips. I've tried alot of productivity increase programs. However, the way you guys present the steps seems seamless, practical and things the average person can accomplish. Thanks for sharing as you are helping my life personally and professionally :)

Some great advice, thanks for it. What struck me most is that when a UA-cam creator tells the audience that we are watching too much UA-cam (social media/TV) it's time to take note. That's somebody that believes in the message and is willing to say it despite having a vested interest to the contrary. #truth

Good stuff. Got rid of cable ~6 years ago and haven't been happier. Watching Netflix, Amazon, etc. just doesn't seem to kill time in the same way TV does. And I'm watching what I really want to watch rather than just what's on.

Find peers who feel similarly, study together, do basically everything together. It might feel stupid or artificial in the beginning but is super-effective in the end. If you lose too much time on transport, find a way to move closer to your school. If you have no such option, switch to extramural studies. Otherwise drop it.

If school is the problem, then I would suggest a few things: 1. Make sure you get enough sleep every night. 2. Make sure you have energy by eating good meals - breakfast and lunch are probably the most relevant for school. Bring enough good, some fruit and a water bottle. This will help your energy sooo much! 3. Be prepared. Find out what your classes are about, read the chapter beforehand or maybe just a summary. This will make your classes less overwhelming.
      Hope this helps!

I threw a rager at my house when my parents were away for a weekend. The police showed up, parents found out. They burned all my supreme and dope clothes and left me with the basics I NEED. First night I slept in the backyard, then I was moved into the garage. Instead of rocking yeezys and r1s to class, I rocked a 4 year old pair of beaten up brown Nike tennis shoes. The whole experience, although very deserving, was also very humbling. With a motive to become better and not being allowed to think about literally anything else, I saw so much more productivity. Interesting how humbling oneself (or being forced to be humbled) can actually show what you do and do not value. I was in there for about 6 months. In that time, I scored a 2600 on my SAT and made it into Harvard. Love the video Charisma, keep doing whatchur doing and I'll keep procrastinating from writing my english essay and writing fake ass stories.

Make a video about Marlon Brando...... or 10 videos about Marlon Brando!! He knew every type of bodylanguage and knew how to hook everyone, a pure genius! You can make a or more videos about HIM, the person, and you can make videos of his bodylanguage, influense, confidence etc from the characters he was and himself. Marlon Brando is the best actor ever, no doubts, and how he excpressed his characters is amazing. If there is someone you should multiple videos about is it Marlon Brando! Watch his movies and you will understand!

Awesome video! I’ll do 10 min brainstorming on what’ll get me closer to achieving my vision and then chose what will make the most impact and takes least time to complete.
Treat work like escape room? This is gold. I also have problem with perfectionism and your idea of stopping work right after a countdown timer of 1 hour is done is absolutely brilliant.
I have a QUESTION! How you break your big tasks into smaller ones?

Love the escape room idea - brilliant.

  • @111princeps111
    @111princeps111 7 років тому

To the escape room idea: It is also possible to turn the idea around, especially if you have a very clear set of tasks or if your tasks can be broken down into subtasks. Just define goals /tasksets for each timeperiod (like a day) and work on them until you finished them. I know the problem is some may let their finishing time expand again, but the benefit could be more time saving, since you will want to finish as fast as you can. Because after finishing your day is free! It works for me, but just try it!

Any recommendations for non-morning people? In other words, first thing in the morning would require me to get up earlier which isn't going to happen, mornings are hard enough as it is and that would lead to more sleep deprivation.
If I sleep enough I should have enough energy after work but I also get the power of knowing this has been HANDLED very early in my day. I really enjoyed the video overall, great ideas.

A friend of mine gave me one Blue Apron meal as a gift/trial. The box arrived, and I thought, “oh, no, a chore.” Then I spent the rest of the day preparing the 16 ingredient meal they sent me. It was the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted, but it took me all day :-( not a good timesaver. Great idea for somebody who wants to learn how to cook, but blue apron is not a timesaver by any means (the packaging is also pretty wasteful, so if you’re trying to be environmentally friendly, I’d reconsider too)

In undergrad architecture school, the meanest professor's name was Bob. Bob never had anything nice to say, and instead of giving feedback on our work he would attack our character and our weak points without any advice on how to improve. You know, like we were paying thousands of dollars for. Even during the final review, which was typically more of a compilation of our semester than it was feedback-based, Bob would insult the students and taunt them about how they wouldn't make it in the field of architecture. People crying even during regular desk crit classes because of Bob was a common occurence.
Anyway I haven't watched the video, just wanted to thank CoC for the concise direction of my next life task via this video's thumbnail.
